Abstract

Предложен искусственный белок, связывающий фактор Н, полученный из fHbp-вариант 3, который может индуцировать антитела, обладающие бактерицидными свойствами в отношении по меньшей мере одного штамма N. meningitidis, и способы применения таких белков. В некоторых вариантах осуществления изобретения раскрыт искусственный белок, связывающий фактор Н (fHbp), полученный из природного fHbp-вариант 3. Искусственный fHbp может содержать замену гистидина в положении 223 природного fHbp-вариант 3 аминокислотой, выбранной из группы, состоящей из аргинина, лизина, фенилаланина, тирозина или триптофана, и нумерация позиции 223 основана на нумерации зрелого fHbp ID 1. Искусственный fHbp может обладать более низким сродством к человеческому фактору Н (fH), чем fHbp ID 79.
