Den foreliggende opfindelse angår hidtil ukendte halogenacetanilider, af den i patent nr. 140.531 omhandlede art til anvendelse som plante-vækstregulatorer og herbicider.
Fra litteraturen kendes allerede herbicidt virksomme halogenacetanilider. Vedrørende teknikkens standpunkt på dette område kan der henvises til følgende patenter: Fransk patent nr. 1.337*529, 1.419-116, belgisk patent nr. 746.288 samt USA-patent nr. 2.865.752, 5-442.945 og 3.547.62Ο og tysk offentliggørelsesskrift nr. 1.905.198.
I disse patenter diskuteres sammenhængen mellem herbicid virkning og det virksomme stofs kemiske konstitution. Eksempelvis fremhæves halogenacetanilider, der i en ortho-stilling i anilindelen bærer tertiære alkylsubstituenter, såsom især en tert.butylgruppe (fransk patent nr. I.337.529)- Men fremfor alt henvises der på basis af flere sammenligningseksempler til, at N-alkoxy-methyl-derivater i hvert tilfælde er de tilsvarende N-alkoxy-ethyl-derivater overlegne med hensyn til virkning (USA-patent nr. 3.547-620, eksempel 85). Endvidere udtales det, at forbindelserne er særlig virksomme, når de i den ene ortho-stilling i phenylringen har en tert. alkylgruppe.
På grundlag af disse publikationer måtte fagmanden for det første antage, at halogenacetanilider med orthostillede tertiæralkylgrupper er foretrukne, og for det andet, at halogenacetanilider med alkoxy-, alkenyloxy- og cycloalkoxygrupper, der er bundet over ethylenbroer til anilidets nitrogenatom på grund af deres tydelige virkningstab ikke kommer på tale som herbicider til praktiske formål.
Det har nu overraskende vist sig, at de her omhandlede, hidtil ukendte virksomme stoffer, der ikke har den konstitution, der i litteraturen angives at være afgørende for den gode virkning, er de i handelen indførte N-alkoxymethyl-halogenacetanilider, der er kendt fra den nævnte litteratur, overlegne ved selektiv ukrudtsbekæmpelse. Stofferne har nemlig en god herbicid virkning, og samtidig er deres tolerance overfor plantekulturer lige så god eller bedre og deres virketid i jordbunden væsentligt længere (større stabilitet), således at de som føropvækstherbicider til fulde opfylder kriterierne for aktivitet, selektivitet og stabilitet. Dette er derimod ikke tilfældet ved de beslægtede kendte stoffer.

De her omhandlede N-substituerede halogenacetanilider er ejendommelige ved, at de har den almene formel R1 ,—/ A-OR3 / \_/ (I) \=/ XCO-CH2 Cl R2

hvori R er en ethyl- eller isopropylgruppe, R en methyl- eller ethylgruppe, A en usubstitueret ethylenkæde (-CHg-CHg-) eller en med ethyl én gang eller med methyl én gang eller to gange substitueret ethylenkæde, R^ en alkylgruppe med 1 til 3 carbonatomer eller en alkenylgruppe med 3 carbonatomer.eller en cyclopropylgruppe.

Alkylgrupper R^ er methyl, ethyl, n-propyl og isopropyl. Som alkenyl-grupper kommer for R3 en allylgruppe i betragtning.
Særligt udpræget selektivitet mellem ukrudt og nytteplantekulturer har selv ved lave anvendelsesmængder sådanne forbindelser med formlen I, hvori R er en ethyl- eller isopropylgruppe, R en methyl- eller ethylgruppe, A en usubstitueret eller en én gang med methyl substitu-eret ethylenkæde og R en methyl- eller ethylgruppe. Eksempler på sådanne forbindelser er: 2-Ethyl-6-methyl-N-(21-methoxy-ethy1)-chloracetanilid, 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(2'-ethoxyethyl)-chloracetanilid, 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(2’-n-propoxyethyl)-chloracetanilid, 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(2'-isopropoxyethyl)-chloracetanilid, 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(1'-methoxyprop-2'-yl)-chloracetanilid, 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(2'-methoxypropyl)-chloracetanilid, 2.6- diethyl-N-(2'-methoxyethyl)-chloracetanilid, 2.6- diethyl-N-(21-ethoxyethyl)-chloracetanilid, 2.6- diethyl-N-(2'-n-propoxyethyl)-chloracetanilid, 2.6- diethyl-N-(1'-methoxyprop-2'-yl)-chloracetanilid, 2-isopropyl-6-methyl-N-(2'-ethoxyethyl)-chloracetanilid, 2-isopropyl-6-ethyl-N-(2'-methoxyethyl)-chloracetanilid, 4 144374 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(11-ethoxyprop-2'-yl)-chloracetanilid, 2-isopropyl-6-methyl-N-(1'-methoxyprop-2'-yl)-chloracetanilid, 2-isopropyl-6-methyl-N-(2'-methoxypropyl)-chloracetanilid, 2,6-diethyl-N-(11-ethoxyprop-2'-yl)-chloracetanilid, 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(2'-ethoxypropyl)-chloracetanilid.
Forbindelsen 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(1'-methoxyprop-2'-yl)-chloracetanilid udmærker sig ved fremragende aktivitet (stærk virkning mod ukrudt), selektivitet (god tolerance overfor plantekulturer) og stabilitet (lang virketid i jorden).
Halogenacetaniliderne med formlen I fremstilles ved, at man omsætter en N-substitueret anilin med formlen

\-NH-A-OR3 (II) n,
med et halogenacetyleringsmiddel, fortrinsvis et anhydrid eller halogenid af chloreddikesyre. I formlen II har R1, R2, A
3 og Br de under formlen I angivne betydninger.
Forbindelserne med formlen I kan også fremstilles ved, at man omsætter en anilin med formlen R1 <f>SH2 (ΠΙ) R2 1 2 hvori R og R har de ovenfor angivne betydninger, med efter ønske 2-halogenethanol eller ethylenoxid til indføring af hydroxyalkyl- 5 T44374 kæden -CH2-CH2-OH eller 2-halogenpropanol til indføring af hydroxy- CHt I 3 alkylkæden -CH-CH2-OH eller l-halogenpropan-2-ol eller propylenoxid CH, I 3 til indføring af hydroxyalkylkæden -CH2-CH-OH eller 3-halogenbutan-2- CH, CH, I 3 i 3 ol til indføring af hydroxyalkylkæden -CH - CH - OH eller 1-halogen- ^2¾ butan-2-ol til indføring af hydroxyalkylkæden -CI^-CH-OH eller en tilsvarende halogenalkanol til indføring af en af de andre mulige strukturkæder -A-OH, derpå chloracetylerer den dannede forbindelse med formlen R1 V-NH-A-OH (Ila) 2 R^ og det fortrinsvis med et anhydrid eller halogenid af chloreddike-syre og til sidst foretherer den endnu frie OH-gruppe i surt medium (f.eks. HG1, HgSO^) under milde betingelser på sædvanlig måde med en alkohol R^-OH, hvori gruppen rP har den under formlen I angivne betydning.
Omsætningerne kan gennemføres i nær- eller fraværelse af opløsningseller fortyndingsmidler, der er inaktive overfor reaktionsdeltagerne. F.eks, kommer følgende på tale: aliphatiske, aromatiske eller halogenerede carbonhydrider, såsom benzen, toluen, xylener, petroleums-ether, chlorbenzen, methylenchlorid, ethylenchlorid, chloroform; ethere og etheragtige forbindelser, såsom dialkylethere, dioxan, te-trahydrofuran; nitriler, såsom acetonitril; Ν,Ν-dialkylerede amider, såsom dimethylformamid; endvidere dimethylsulfoxid samt blandinger af disse opløsningsmidler med hinanden.
Som egnede halogenacetyleringsmidler anvendes fortrinsvis halogen-eddikesyreanhydrider, såsom chloreddikesyreanhydrid, og halogeneddike- 6 144374 syrehalogenider, såsom chloracetylchlorid. Reaktionen kan dog også gennemføres med halogeneddikesyrer, deres estere eller amider. Reaktionstemperaturerne ligger mellem 0 og 200°C, fortrinsvis mellem 20 og 100°C. I mange tilfælde, især ved anvendelse af halogenacetyl-halogenider, gennemføres halogenacetyleringen i nærværelse af et syrebindende middel. Som sådanne kommer i betragtning tertiære aminer, såsom trialkylaminer, f.eks. triethylamin, pyridin og pyridinbaser, eller uorganiske baser, såsom oxider og hydroxider, hydrogencarbona-ter og carbonater af alkali- og jordalkalimetaller. Som syrebindende middel kan desuden anvendes den pågældende anilin med formlen XI, der i dette tilfælde må anvendes i overskud.
Til formel II homologe forbindelser samt til formel Ila homologe hydroxylavalkylderivater er kendt, f.eks. fra USA-patent nr. 2.3&L.071, 2.759.943 samt Am. Soc. S4, 734,og Bull.Soc.Chim. France 1962, 303, og 1965, 2037. Disse samt i litteraturen endnu ikke beskrevne udgangsstoffer, der falder ind under den almene formel II, kan let fremstilles efter en af de følgende, i og for sig kendte metoder, som f.eks.: a) Ved kondensation af den tilsvarende alkylerede anilin III med en carbonylforbindelse R* R" 1 1 3 0 = C- C- 0-R'> (IV) R"f hvori substituenterne ‘RT, R" og R,fT hver er hydrogen, methyl eller ethyl, men tilsammen dog kun har højst 2 carbonatomer, medens R har den under formlen I angivne betydning, og samtidig eller påfølgende katalytisk hydrering af den opnåede azomethin med formlen f _I R’ R" J V _ n = C - C - 0 - R3 (V) \=y i R"» b) Ved omsætning af alkylanilinen III med en forbindelse med formlen 7 144374 Y - A - OR3 (VI) Ο hvori A og har den under formlen I angivne betydning, og Y er et halogenatom eller en anden syrerest, især en arylsulfonsyrerest. (Forbindelser med formlen VI med benzensulfonsyrerester I er f.eks. beskrevet i Can.J.Ghem, 32> 1207, sådanne med tdsyloxyrester (GH^-C^H^-SO^-) er beskrevet i britisk patent nr. S69.0&3)·
Naturligvis findes der endnu en række andre metoder til fremstilling af udgangsstofferne med formlen II ud fra orthoalkylerede aniliner.
De følgende 2 eksempler illustrerer de beskrevne fremgangsmåder til fremstilling af forbindelserne med formlen I samt fremstilling af udgangsstofferne. Yderligere virksomme stoffer med formlen I, der er fremstillet efter en af de beskrevne fremgangsmåder, er ppført i den påfølgende tabel.
Eksempel 1 a) En blanding af 540 g (4,0 mol) 2-ethyl-6-methylanilin og 306 g (2,0 mol) 2-brom-l-methoxypropan opvarmes 40 timer under omrøring ved formindsket tryk (10 mm Hg) til 120°C. Efter afkøling fortyndes den lyserøde, viskose opløsning med 200 ml vand og gøres alkalisk med 210 ml koncentreret natriumhydroxidopløsning. Det udskilte produkt optages i ether; den etheriske opløsning vaskes neutral med vand, tørres og inddampes.Ved destillation af remanensen får man det rene 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(11-methoxy-prop-2»-yi)-anilin, kp. 64-66°C/0,07 mm Hg.
b) Til en opløsning af 9,7 g (0,047 mol) af det under a) beskrevne mellemprodukt og 5,05 g (0,05 mol) triethylamin i 30 ml absolut benzen sættes under omrøring dråbevis en opløsning af 5,65 g (0,05 mol) chloracetylchlorid i 10 ml absolut benzen,og derpå omrøres blandingen videre i 2 timer ved stuetemperatur. Reaktionsblandingen fortyndes med ether, og opløsningen vaskes flere gange med vand og tør res. Ved afdampning af opløsningsmiddelblandingen i vakuum får man i kvantitativt udbytte rent 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-[l,-methoxy-propyl-(2,)]-chloracetanilid, n^ =1,5301.

Eksempel 2 a) En opløsning af 135 g (1,0 mol) 2-ethyl-6-methylanilin og 70 g (0,5 mol) l-brom-propan-2-ol i 200 ml absolut toluen koges under tilbagesvaling i 20 timer. Efter afkøling fortyndes blandingen med ether, rystes med 2 N natriumhydroxidopløsning,og efter fraskillelse vaskes den organiske fase neutral med vand. Opløsningen tørres med
Na^SO^, inddampes,og remanensen destilleres i vakuum. 2-Ethyl-6-methyl-N-(2’-hydroxy-propyl)-anilin fås som fraktion med kp. 99-104°C/0,5 mm Hg.
b) Til en suspension af 49,2 g (0,255 mol) af det under a) beskrevne mellemprodukt og 27 g (0,255 mol) natriumcarbonat i 250 ml absolut benzen sættes ved stuetemperatur under omrøring dråbevis en opløsning af 30,5 g (0,27 mol) chloracetylchlorid i 50 ml absolut benzen. Efter 2 timers omrøring ved stuetemperatur tilsættes 300 ml vand; den organiske fase vaskes med vand, tørres og inddampes under formindsket tryk. Remanensen består af praktisk taget rent 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N- (2’-hydroxypropyl)-chlorac etanilid.
c) 27 g (0,1 mol) af det under b) beskrevne produkt opløses i 100 ml absolut methanol, og til opløsningen sættes 6 ml koncentreret svovl syre, og der koges i 20 timer under tilbagesvaling. Reaktionsblandingen inddampes i vakuum; remanensen fordeles mellem 100 ml vand og 200 ml ether; den etheriske opløsning vaskes neutral med vand, tørres og inddampes i vakuum. Man får således 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(2T-methoxy-propyl)-chloracetanilid i ren form, n^ = 1,5299.

De omhandlede virksomme stoffer er stabile forbindelser og har særdeles gode herbicide egenskaber mod gramineer, såsom hirse og hirse-agtige planter af slægterne Setaria, Digitaria etc., mod græsser, såsom Loliumarter, og også mod mange tokimbladede ukrudtsarter, såsom Amaranthus, Sesbania, Chrysanthemum, Ipomoea, Galium, Sinapis og Pastinaca, uden at de kulturplantninger,som de virksomme stoffer skal anvendes i, bliver beskadiget. Som kulturplanter skal nævnes soja, lucerne, ærter, linser, jordnødder, bomuld, majs, kaffe, te, bananer, ananas, sukkerroer, sukkerrør, kartofler, paprika, tomater, spinat, løg, auberginer, solsikker,tobak, Brassica-arter, såsom raps og kål, men også kornsorter, såsom byg, havre, rug, hvede eller tørris og vandris» 14

Anvendelsen af de virksomme stoffer sker enten før (preemergens) eller efter (postemergens) opvæksten af kulturplanterne og ukrudtet og ugræsserne,fortrinsvis før opvæksten.De anvendte mængder ligger mellem 0,1 og 10 kg virksomt stof pr.hektar,hvorved der imidlertid preemer-gent allerede opnås en vidtgående ødelæggelse af ukrudtsplanter med en anvendelsesmængde på 0,25 kg/ha. Til at forhindre en tilvoksning af jernbanedæmninger, fabriksanlæg ©g veje med ukrudt anvendes sædvanligvis indtil 10 kg virksomt stof pr. hektar.
Desuden viser nogle af de virksomme stoffer med formlen I ved efter-opvækst-anvendelse vækstregulerende egenskaber, idet de forsinker eller hæmmer f.eks. længdevækst af enkimbladede planter. Således går væksthastigheden af en om foråret kort tid efter den første slåning behandlet græsplæne (bestående af græsarterne Poa pratensis, Agrostis tenuis og Festuca rubra) tilbage til halvdelen, når man anvender virksomme stoffer med formlen I i mængder på 5 kg/ha. Til grund for dette fund ligger en iagttagelsestid på 60 dage.
Eksempel 3
Bekæmpelse af hirsearter og andre énkimbladede ukrudtsplanter i forskellige nytteplantekulturer (før-opvækst-metoden).
En dag efter såning af forsøgsplanterne i frøskåle sprøjtes fortyndede vandige suspensioner af de virksomme stoffer på jordoverfladen i sådanne koncentrationer, at de anvendte mængder omregnet udgør 2 kg, 1 kg og 0,5 kg pr. hektar. Frøskålene holdes ved 22-25°C og ca. 70^’s relativ luftfugtighed. Forsøges bedømmes efter 28 dage efter følgende skala: 9 = Planterne ubeskadiget (kontrolforsøg) 1 = planterne døde 8-2 = mellemtrin af beskadigelse - = ikke undersøgt

Det ses, at de her omhandlede virksomme stoffer har en tydeligere udpræget herbicid selektivitet end sammenligningsforbindelserne A og B. Fremfor alt har forbindelser med formlen I en større tolerance på nytt eplant ekulturer.
Eksempel 4
Breddevirkning mod énkimbladede og tokimbladede ukrudtsplanter i udvalgte nytteplantekulturer (føropvækst-metoden).
Umiddelbart efter såning af forsøgsplanterne i frøskåle påføres de virksomme stoffer som vandig suspension opnået ud fra et 25%Ts sprøjtepulver på jordoverfladen i skålene, således at der omregnet anvendes mængder på 4 kg, 2 kg, 1 kg og 0,5 kg pr. hektar. Derpå holdes frøskålene ved 22-23°C og 50-70%'s relativ luftfugtighed. Efter 28 dage bedømmes forsøget efter den i eksempel 3' angivne skala.
Som sammenligningsforbindelser anvendes de i eksempel 3 nævnte halo-genacetanilider A og B.

Sammenligningsstofferne A og B er ganske vist egnet til bekæmpelse af enkimbladede ukrudtsplanter, men viser visse virkningssvagheder (åvena og Alopecurus). Til bekæmpelse af tokimbladede ukrudtsplanter er de uegnet, da Chrysanthemum og Amaranthus skades tilstrækkeligt meget ved lavere anvendelsesmængder.
I sammenligning hermed virker forbindelserne ifølge opfindelsen ensartet godt mod alle arter af uønskede græsser. De bekæmper desuden bredbladede ukrudtsplanter og opfylder dermed det krav om det bredest mulige ukrudtsspektrum, der stilles til selektive herbicider til beskyttelse af nytteplantekulturer.
Eksempel 5
Virkning mod uønskede græsarter ved små anvendelsesmængder (før-opvækst-metoden).
30 cm dybe plastkar på 30 x 50 cm i kantlængde fyldes med middelsvær agerjord. De pågældende frø sås på jordens overflade og dækkes så med ca. 2 cm jord og befugtes. Indenfor 24 timer påføres den fortyndede suspension af virksomt stof. Der anvendes koncentrationer, der svarer til en anvendelsesmængde på 1 kg, 0,5 kg, 0,25 kg og 0,125 kg virksomt stof pr. hektar. Skålene holdes ved 22-25°C og ca. 70$'s relativ luftfugtighed.
Som sammenligningsforbindelser anvendes den i eksempel 3 nævnte forbindelse B samt forbindelse D = 2,6-diethyl-W-(butoxyethyl)-chlor-acetanilid, der nævnes i USA-patent nr. 3·547·620 som sammenligningsforbindelse.
Efter 20 dage foretages en bedømmelse. Resultatet angives som pro-centiel beskadigelse af forsøgsplanterne i den følgende tabel 4· Derved bliver området med stærkere beskadigelse vist mere differentieret ved ukrudtsplanter end området med middelsvær eller ringe beskadigelse. Omvendt bliver området med ringe beskadigelse stærkere differentieret ved nytteplanter.

Sammenligningsforbindelsen B formår kun ved 1 kg aktivt stof/ha eller mere at give en sikker bekæmpelse af de enkimbladede ukrudtsplanter, medens sammenligningsforbindelsen D har en fuldstændig utilstrækkelig virkning og ikke kommer på tale til en praktisk anvendelse.
I forhold hertil har forbindelserne med formlen I en sikker virkning på énkimbladede ukrudtsplanter, helt ned til anvendelsesmængder på 0,25 kg aktivt stof/ha og delvis ned til 0,125 kg aktivt stof/ha.
Med dette forsøg vises, at halogenacetaniliderne ifølge den foreliggende opfindelse i vid udstrækning efterkommer kravet i dag om mængdemæssig reduktion af pesticider i nytteplantekulturer.
Eksempel 6
Herbicid virkning mod naturligt forekommende ukrudtsplanter.
Til markforsøg i Vestfrankrig (Maine-et-Loire) såede man på pløjede og harvede marker majs i en rækkeafstand på 60 cm. Derpå blev marken opdelt i parceller på 4 m , på hver af hvilke man måtte forvente ca. 60-75 majsplanter.
En dag efter såningen blev parcellerne behandlet med den for dem bestemte af et emulsionskoncentrat ved fortynding opnåede koncentration af virksomt stof.
Som sammenligningsforbindelser anvendtes de virksomme stoffer A og B fra eksempel 3.
Bedømmelsen efter 35 dage skete med hensyn til tilstanden hos kulturplanten og de naturligt opvoksede græsarter. Beskadigelserne af planterne gengives i den følgende tabel 5 i den differentierede procentangivelse ifølge eksempel 5.
Det ses, at forbindelserne med formlen I er de kendte forbindelser A og B overlegne med hensyn til ukrudtsvirkning.

Eksempel 7
Bekæmpelse af ukrudt i ris.
I lerskåle med havejord sås på den ene side ris (Oryza oryzoides) og på den anden side ukrudt. Opløsningen af virksomt stof fremstilles af et 25%rs sprøjtepulver og spredes umiddelbart efter såningen ud over jordoverfladen (mængde opløsning: 100 ml/m ). Skålene holdes i væksthus ved 24-27°C og 70$’s relativ luftfugtighed. Bedømmelsen sker 28 dage senere efter den i eksempel 3 angivne skala.

Eksempel 8 Væksthæmning ved græsser (efteropvækst-metoden).
1 plastskåle med jord-tørv-sand-blanding sås frø af græsserne Lolium perenne, Poa pratensis, Festuca ovina og Dactylis glomerata. Efter tre uger afskæres de opvoksede græsarter indtil 4 cm over jorden og 2 dage senere besprøjtes de med vandige sprøjtevæsker af de virksomme stoffer med formlen I. Mængden af virksomt stof andrager omregnet 5 kg aktivt stof pr. hektar. 14 dage efter behandlingen bedømmes græsarternes vækst efter følgende lineære karakterskala:
Karakter 1 = stærk hæmning (ingen vækst efter behandlingstidspunktet)
Karakter 9 = ingen hæmning (vækst som ubehandlet kontrol)

Sideskudshæmning ved tobak.
Tobaksplanter dyrkes i væksthus og får hovedet kappet af ved begynden-✓ de blomstring. En dag senere sprøjtes de med vandige sprøjtevæsker af de virksomme stoffer nr. 2, 3¾ 9, 10 eller 16. Koncentrationen af de virksomme stoffer andrager 0,66% eller 1,32% aktivt stof.
Medens der ved ubehandlede planter fra bladkrogknopperne udvikler sig kraftige sideskud, forbliver sideskudsvæksten stærkt hæmmet ved de behandlede tobaksplanter.
Fremstillingen af herbicide midler sker på i og for sig kendt måde ved grundig sammenblanding og formaling af virksomme stoffer med den almene formel I med egnede bærestoffer og/eller fordelingsmidler, eventuelt under tilsætning af dispersions- eller opløsningsmidler, der er inaktive overfor de virksomme stoffer. De-virksomme stoffer kan foreligge og anvendes i følgende oparbejdningsformer:
Faste oparbejdningsformer: Støvemidler, strømidler, granulater, om- hylningsgranulater, imprægneringsgranulater og homogengranulater; I vand dispergerbare koncentrater af virksomt stof: Sprøjtepulvere (befugtelige pul vere), pastaer, emulsioner; 27 144374
Flydende oparbejdningsformer: Opløsninger.
Til fremstilling af faste oparbejdningsformer (støvemidler, strømidler, granulater) blandes de virksomme stoffer med faste bærestoffer. Som bærestoffer kommer f.eks. på tale kaolin, talkum, bolus, løss, kridt, kalksten, kalkgrus, attapulgit, dolomit, diatoméjord, fældet kiselsyre, jordalkalimetalsilicater, natrium- og kaliumaluminiumsilicater (feidspater og glimmer),calcium- og magnesiumsulfater,magnesiumoxid, formalede formstoffer, gødningsmidler, såsom ammoniumsulfat, ammonium-phosphat, ammoniumnitrat, urinstof, formalede planteprodukter, såsom kornmel, træbarkmel, træmel, nøddeskalsmel, cellulosepulver, remanenser fra planteekstraktioner, aktivt kul, hver for sig eller som blandinger med hinanden.
Kornstørrelsen af bærestofferne andrager for støvemidler hensigtsmæssigt indtil ca. 0,1 mm, for strømidler ca. 0,075 til 0,2 mm og for granulater 0,2 mm eller mere.
Koncentrationerne af virksomt stof i de faste oparbejdningsformer andrager 0,1 til 80%.
Til disse blandinger kan der endvidere sættes tilsætninger, der stabiliserer det virksomme stof, og/eller ikke-ioniske, anionaktive og kationaktive stoffer, der f.eks. forbedrer de virksomme stoffers hæfteevne til planter og plantedele (hæfte- og klæbemidler) og/eller sikrer en bedre befugtelighed (befugtningsmidler) samt dispergerbarhed (dis-pergatorer). Som klæbemidler kommer f.eks. følgende på tale: Olein-kalkblanding, cellulosederivater (methyleellulose, carboxymethylcellulose) , hydroxyethylenglycolethere af mono- og dialkylphenoler med 5-15 ethylenoxidgrupper pr. molekyle og 8-9 carbonatorner i alkylgrup-pen, ligninsulfonsyre, dennes alkali- og jordalkalimetalsalte, poly-ethylenglycolethere (Carbowax), fedtalkoholpolyglycolethere med 5-20 ethylenoxidgrupper pr. molekyle og 8-18 carbonatomer i fedtalkohol-delen, kondensationsprodukter af ethylenoxid, propylenoxid, polyvinyl-pyrrolidoner, polyvinylalkoholer, kondensationsprodukter af urinstof- 28 144374 formaldehyd samt latex-produkter.
I vand dispergerbare koncentrater af virksomt stof, d.v.s. sprøjtepulvere (befugtelige pulvere), pastaer og emulsionskoncentrater er midler, der kan fortyndes med vand til enhver ønsket koncentration.
De består af virksomt stof, bærestof, eventuelt tilsætninger, der stabiliserer det virksomme stof, overfladeaktive stoffer og antiskummemidler og eventuelt opløsningsmidler. Koncentrationen af virksomt stof i disse midler andrager 5-$0%.
Sprøjtepulvere (befugtelige pulvere) og pastaer fås ved, at man blander og formaler de virksomme stoffer med dispergeringsmidler og pul-verformige bærestoffer i egnede apparater indtil homogenitet. Som bærestoffer kommer f.eks. de, der er nævnt ovenfor for de faste oparbejdningsformer, på tale. I mange tilfælde er det fordelagtigt at anvende blandinger af forskellige bærestoffer. Som dispergatorer kan der f.eks. anvendes: Kondensationsprodukter af sulfoneret naphthalen og sulfonerede naphthalendérivater med formaldehyd, kondensationsprodukter af naphthalen eller naphthalensulfonsyrer med phenol og formaldehyd samt alkali-, ammonium- og jordalkalimetalsalte af lignin-sulfonsyre, endvidere alkylaryIsulfonater, alkali- og jordalkalimetalsalte af dibutylnaphthalensulfonsyre, fedtalkoholsulfater, såsom salte af sulfaterede hexadecanoler, heptadecanoler, octadecanoler og salte af sulfateret fedtalkoholglycolether, natriumsaltet af oleyl-methyltaurid, ditertiære acetylenglycoler, dialkyldilaurylammonium-chlorid og fedtsure alkali- og jordalkalimetalsalte.
Som antiskummemiddel kommer f.eks. siliconer på tale.
De virksomme stoffer blandes, formales, sigtes og passeres således med de ovenfor anførte tilsætninger, at den faste bestanddel ved sprøjtepulvere ikke overstiger en kornstørrelse på 0,02 til 0,04 og ved pastaerne på 0,03 mm. Til fremstilling af emulsionskoncentrater og pastaer anvendes dispergeringsmidler, såsom de, der er anført i de ovenstående afsnit, organiske opløsningsmidler og vand. Som opløsningsmidler kommer f.eks. følgende på tale: Alkoholer, benzen, xylener, toluen, dimethylsulfoxid, N,N-dialkylerede amider, N-oxider af aminer, især trialkylaminer, og i området fra 120-350°C kogende mineraloliefraktioner. Opløsningsmidlerne skal være praktisk taget lugt- 29 U4374 frie, ikke-fytotoksiske, inaktive overfor de virksomme stoffer og må ikke have et for lavt flammepunkt.
Endvidere kan de omhandlede midler anvendes i form af opløsninger. Hertil opløses det virksomme stof eller flere virksomme stoffer med den almene formel I i egnede organiske opløsningsmidler, opløsningsmiddelblandinger, vand eller blandinger af organiske opløsningsmidler og vand. Som organiske opløsningsmidler kan der anvendes aliphatiske og aromatiske carbonhydrider, deres chlorerede derivater, alkyl-naphthale-ner, mineralolier alene eller som blanding med hinanden. Opløsningerne skal indeholde de virksomme stoffer i et koncentrationsområde på 1 til 20%. Disse opløsninger kan enten påføres ved hjælp af en drivgas (som spray) eller med specielle sprøjter (som aerosol).
De beskrevne midler kan blandes med andre biocide virksomme stoffer eller midler. Så kan disse midler indeholde foruden de nævnte forbindelser med den almene formel I f.eks. insekticider, fungicider, bakte-ricider, fungistatika, bakteriostatika,nematodicider eller yderligere herbicider til udbredelse af virkningsspektret. Midlerne kan desuden indeholde plantegødninger eller sporelementer.
I det følgende beskrives oparbejdningsformer for de virksomme stoffer med den almene formel I. Dele betyder vægtdele.
Granulat
Til fremstilling af et 5%1s granulat anvendes følgende stoffer: 5 dele virksomt stof 0,25 dele epichlorhydrin 0,25 dele cetylpolyglycolether 3,50 dele polyethylenglycol 91 dele kaolin (kornstørrelse 0,3-0,S mm)
Det aktive stof blandes med epichlorhydrin og opløses i 6 dele acetone, herpå tilsættes polyethylenglycol og cetylpolyglycolether. Den således opnåede opløsning sprøjtes på kaolin,og opløsningsmidlet afdampes derpå i vakuum.

Sprøjtepulver
Til fremstilling af et a) 50$fs, b) 25$fs og c) 10$rs sprøjtepulver anvendes følgende bestanddele: a) 50 dele N-(2’-methoxyethyl)-2-methyl-6-ethyl-chloracetanilid 5 dele natriumdibutylnaphthalensulfonat 3 dele naphthalensulfonsyre-phenolsulfonsyrer-formaldehyd-kondensat 3:2:1 20 dele kaolin 22 dele Champagne-kridt; b) 25 dele virksomt stof 5 dele oleylmethyltaurid-Na-salt 2,5 dele naphthalensulfonsyrer-formaldehyd-kondensat 0,5 dele carboxymethylcellulose 5 dele neutralt kalium-aluminium-silicat 62 dele kaolin; c) 10 dele N-(2’-methoxyethyl)-2,6-diethyl-chloracetanilid 3 dele blanding af natriumsalte af mættede fedtalkohol-sulfater 5 dele naphthalensulfonsyrer-formaldehyd-kondensat 82 dele kaolin.
Det angivne virksomme stof påføres de tilsvarende bærestoffer (kaolin og kridt), og derpå blandes og formales. Man får sprøjtepulvere med fortrinlig befugtelighed og svæveevne. Af sådanne sprøjtepulvere kan der ved fortynding med vand fås suspensioner med enhver ønsket koncentration.
Pastaer
Til fremstilling af en 45$fs pasta anvendes følgende stoffer: 45 dele virksomt stof 5 dele natriumaluminiumsilicat 14 dele cetylpolyglycolether med 8 mol ethylenoxid 1 del oleylpolyglycolether med 5 mol ethylenoxid 31 146374 2 dele spindelolie 10 dele polyethylenglyeol 23 dele vand.
Det virksomme stof blandes grundigt og formales med tilslagsstofferne i dertil egnede apparater. Man får en pasta, af hvilken der ved fortynding med vand kan fremstilles suspensioner med enhver ønsket koncentration.
Emulsionskoncentrat
Til fremstilling af et 25$Ts emulsionskoncentrat blandes 25 dele N-(2,-ethoxyethyl)-2-methyl-6-ethyl-chloracetanilid 5 dele af en blanding af nonylphenolpolyoxyethylen og calciumdodecylbenzensulfonat 35 dele 3,5,5-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-l-on 35 dele dimethylformamid med hinanden. Dette koncentrat kan fortyndes med vand til emulsioner med egnede koncentrationer. Sådanne emulsioner egner sig til bekæmpelse af ukrudt i kulturplantninger.
Sammenligningsforsøg.

1. Preemergent herbicid- og selektivitetsforsøg.
En dag efter at forsøgsplanter er udsået i frøskåle (9,6 cm høje og 11 cm i diameter foroven), sprøjtes fortyndede vandige suspensioner af virksomt stof på Jordens overflade i sådanne koncentrationer, at det svarer til applikation af 2 kg og 1 kg pr. hektar. Prøskålene holdes ved 19-21°C og 50-60$ relativ fugtighed. Porsøget bedømmes efter 26 dage ifølge nedenstående skala: 9: planter ubeskadiget (som kontrolforsøg) 1: planter ødelagt 8-2: mellemtrin af beskadigelse -: ikke undersøgt.
Resultaterne fremgår af tabellerne a-d.
Porsøgsvæsker.
Til fremstilling af et 25$'s emulsionskoncentrat blandes 25 dele virksomt stof 5 dele af en blanding af nonylphenolpolyoxy-ethoxyethylen og calciumdo d ecylensulfonat 35 dele 3,5,5-trimethyl-2-cyclohexan-l-on 35 dele dimethylformamid.
Koncentratet fortyndes med vand, således at der fås emulsioner i den ønskede koncentration. Disse emulsioner er egnede til bekæmpelse af ukrudt i kulturer af dyrkede planter og anvendes til det ovenstående forsøg.

Som det ses af ovenstående resultater, nar de omhandlede forbindelser tilstrækkelig aktivitet og selektivitet til at kunne anvendes som pre- emergent herbicid mod ukrudt i plantekulturer.

De kendte forbindelser er derimod belastet med følgende ulemper: Forbindelse I er næsten uvirksom.
Forbindelserne II og A har en så stærk virkning (fytotoksicitet), at de i de prøvede anvendelsesmængder ikke kan tjene som selektive herbicider.
Forbindelserne III, B og IV er i et vist omfang selektive og virksomme, men problemukrudt som Datura og Rottboellia bekæmpes kun utilstrækkeligt.
2. Stabilitet.
Pløjejord bestående af 4$ organiske stoffer, 21$ ler, 32$ slik og 43$ sand og indeholdt i en plasticbeholder (50 cm x 32 cm x 7 cm) besprøj-tes med forsøgsstoffet i form af en væske, der er fremstillet af et emulsionskoncentrat, således at der fås en koncentration af virksomt stof svarende til 2 og 1 kg/hektar. To parallelle rækker af frø sås i hver beholder, og yderligere to rækker sås hver uge i de følgende 6 uger. Man valgte Setaria italica som forsøgsukrudt, da den er særlig følsom for forsøgsforbindelserne.
Ukrudtets tilstand i hvert par rækker bedømmes 3 uger efter såning. Forsøgsbetingelserne er: temperatur 19-23°C, relativ fugtighed 50-60$, vanding normal.
Der bedømmes efter samme skala som i forsøg 1.

- 2|.q 144374 Som i det første forsøg er kriteriet for tilstrækkelig aktivitet (beskadigelse af ukrudt) en virkningsbestemmelse på 1-4, medens en acceptabel tolerance på plantekulturer foreligger ved bedømmelserne 9-7. Som det ses af de ovenstående tabeller, har de kendte forbindelser II, A, III og B ved en anvendeis esmængde på 2 kg/hektar kun en levetid på højst 2-3 uger. Derefter er de virksomme stoffer sønderdelt. Forbindelsen IV har på grund af sin struktur, der mere ligner strukturen af de omhandlede forbindelser, en noget længere varende virkning på 4 uger. I modsætning hertil har de omhandlede forbindelser ved 2 kg/hektar en vedvarende virkning i 5 uger eller med forbindelserne nr. 6, 13, 25 og 28 endog i 6 uger. Ved en anvendelsesmængde på 1 kg/hektar har de omhandlede forbindelser stadig en vedvarende virkning i mindst 3-4 uger og i nogle tilfælde, såsom med forbindelse nr. 6 og 28, endog i 6 uger som før. Sammenlignings forbind el s erne II, A, III og B har i denne anvendelsesmængde en levetid på 1-2 uger og er derfor uanvendelige, selv om de netop i denne mængde har en acceptabel selektivitet i plantekulturer. Forbindelsen IV har en noget længere levetid, men falder tydeligt igennem i sammenligning med de omhandlede forbindelser, hvis aktivitet og stabilitet samtidigt skal være til stede.
