.It is known that the processing or treatment of metallic
Profiles, especially of strip steel, required heat by conductive or
to supply inductive electrical heating. Used for conductive heating
one for the power supply contact rollers made of steel, non-ferrous metals and also
Coal with metallic deposits. .
In particular for the production of high-pressure wound bodies from profiled steel strips continuously wound onto a core tube using shrinkage stresses, it has already been proposed that the current required for electrical heating of the strip should be transmitted largely free of scaling using cast iron rollers with a carbon content of at least 2.3 / D . According to this older proposal, for conductive resistance heating, the shape of the roll is, if necessary, adapted to the profile of the strip to be heated.
It has been shown that the current transmission in this mode of operation
does not work properly if unevenness in the surface of the profiled rolled
Ribbons change the flow of current over time, in particular reduce it.
An
It has now been found that the current junction rolled onto the profiled
Metal belt is significantly improved if the belt surface is before reaching the
current-supplying contact roller is heated so high that it is slightly plastic.
This heating is expediently carried out inductively, in particular by means of medium or high frequency current.
This measure results in a much closer contact with the contact roller
the subsequent rolled strip material to be further heated. From the
Improved contact results in the further advantage of a substantial reduction
the contact pressure without the risk of superficial burns from sparks
entry. The heat supplied by the inductive heating goes to the process
by no means lost, as it relieves the heat input from the contact roller. At
The invention is explained in more detail using the drawing: In the production of a
High pressure winding container is a tape ca, z. B. a length of 5oo to z2oo
m has and which is appropriately profiled, during the winding process on a short
Stretch heated to about 86o to 96o ° C before running onto the winding body.
The direction of movement of the strip to be heated is indicated by arrow b.
The band is first heated by the induction heating c only so far that the
Surface becomes slightly plastic. The belt then runs through the two contact rollers
d, which have a profile corresponding to the test pattern of the tape. About these contact roles
the current still required for conductive heating of the strip to about 86o
up to 96o ° C.
