Description
The invention relates to a ground fault protection device for electrical system parts, in particular Generators with one each on a common earth fault relay in front of and behind the system parts to be protected working converter set is provided and the total current of one converter set is the Earth fault relay influenced in the triggering sense in the event of an internal earth fault.
Both when using wattmetric and pure current relays as earth fault relays, false tripping can occur occur due to incorrect transformer currents. While the transformer false currents in steady-state conditions are caused by simple changes in the sensitivity of the earth fault relay depending on the Allowing the load current of the converter to be controlled is when switching operations, for example when switching on of mains transformers, is no longer the case, since the current load on the converter is increased during such processes often only slightly enlarged and accordingly not enough compensation current available stands. However, it is precisely in such cases that the interconnected single and double sums deliver Current transformer due to the direct current element of the rush current and the nature of the current transformer iron often high 5-period false currents in connection with a simultaneous earth fault displacement voltage a false response of wattmetric relays or when using pure electricity

When using pure current relays as earth fault relays, there is a possibility of incorrect response: even particularly cheap. On the other hand, the advantages of the pure current relay are compared to a wattmetric one Relay so large that its further application is desired, but with means of protection against a Incorrect response are necessary, ίο With the earth-fault protection devices that have become known one type is a reliable prevention of a false triggering with the simultaneous occurrence of a Mains earth fault and a surge process not attainable at all, with other facilities on the other hand an erroneous triggering in the event of shock processes only with the aid of particularly small transformer false currents balanced special converters avoidable, although it may still be necessary that with very large false currents during the duration of the surge short-circuit delay the triggering of the earth-fault relay will.
To avoid these disadvantages while at the same time simplifying the circuit arrangement according to the invention, the second set of converters is designed and connected to the earth fault relay brought that he only with shock processes by means of the false currents occurring in him the earth fault relay locks. Thus, in the subject matter of the invention, the false current itself becomes a very effective one Stabilization of the earth fault relay exploited. A known per se can be used as a ground fault relay Balance bar relays (differential relays) can be used. But it is also possible to use a moving coil relay to be used with an upstream rectifier and intermediate converter, with the reverse current also rectified and works in a bridge circuit with the rectifier connected upstream of the moving coil relay. By switching on an additional burden in the second converter set in one or more phases can be an additional detuning and thus in any case a sufficient total zero current for Achievement of the most favorable stabilization hardening can be achieved.
In the drawing, the invention is illustrated in two exemplary embodiments.
In Fig. Ι 0 is the part of the plant to be protected, z. B. the stator of a generator, which works on the network R 1 S, T. In the usual way, this is preceded by a converter set ι, the total current of which feeds the earth-fault relay 4. On the other side of the system part 0 to be protected, a second converter set 2 is provided, which can also be used for other measurement and protection purposes, for example for reverse power protection, overcurrent protection, for current and power measurement, etc. These devices or relays can be switched on at 3. A small intermediate converter 5, which can be designed as a saturation converter to protect against overcurrents, is connected into the neutral point return of this converter set 2. The secondary side of this intermediate converter 5 feeds a rectifier 6. On the other hand, the total current of the converter set 1 is also fed via an intermediate converter 7, which is advantageously also designed as a saturation converter, to a rectifier 8, which is connected to the rectifier 6 and a moving coil relay 9 in a bridge circuit in such a way that the relay coil is traversed by the currents of the two rectifiers 6, 8 in opposite directions.
While the earth current in the event of an earth fault, for example in generator 0, as such causes a triggering moment in relay 9, the compensation current supplied via rectifier 6 causes a moment in the reverse direction. In the event of a fault in the part of the system to be protected, however, the compensation is practically ineffective, since the earth current in transformer set 2 does not provide any differential current. If one assumes, for example, that a stator earth-fault choke 10 with a variable resistance load is present in a manner known per se and that - as shown - phase Γ earth fault in the plant part 0 to be protected, the earth-fault currents from the stator earth-fault choke 10 flow in the two current transformer sets 1 and 2 and in part 0 in the direction of the arrows to the earth connection point. In current converter set 2, twice the current flows in the converter for phase T in the opposite direction as in the other two converters, so that the total current is zero. In this earth fault case, only the transformer set 1 supplies the response current for the earth fault relay 4. However, if the generator 0 participates in the inrush current for a transformer or motor in the network, both transformer sets 1 and 2 are acted upon, and the relay is activated by the Compensation circuit applied in the blocking sense; so there is no release. By changing the converter burden, for example by switching on a suitable resistor, possibly in connection with an inductance, in one or more phases of the intermediate converter 2, as indicated at 11, as well as by an adjustable transmission ratio of the intermediate converter 5 and / or possibly through The series and / or parallel resistors 12 connected to the direct current side of the rectifier 6 can in any case be dimensioned so favorably for the compensation current that a false response of the earth fault relay 4 is avoided with certainty.
Auch hier können zum Abgleich dem Gleichrichter 6 Reihen- und/oder Parallelwiderstände 12 nachgeschaltet werden, und es kann die Bürde des Wandlers 2, wie bei 11 angedeutet, durch Einschalten eines geeigneten Wider-Standes, gegebenenfalls in Verbindung mit einerIn the second exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, in which the same reference numerals refer to the same parts as in FIG Fig. Ι indicate, it is assumed that the two converters 1 and 2 are already for differential protection available. Three differential relays are therefore attached to their connecting lines in a manner known per se 3 a connected in star connection. The intermediate converter 7 is in the star point connection to the two converter sets 1 and 2 and the intermediate converter 5 only in the star point connection to the lower converter set 2. The mode of operation of this circuit is the same as in Fig. 1. Here too 6 series and / or parallel resistors 12 can be connected downstream of the rectifier for balancing purposes, and the burden of the converter 2, as indicated at 11, by switching on a suitable resistor, possibly in connection with a
