Description
Method of making stockings on the flat weft knitting machine, the toe and / or the heel parts through to a few remaining stitches Covering to be completed with solid longitudinal edges The invention relates to a Method for producing stockings on the flat knitting machine, wherein the toe and / or the heel parts except for a few remaining stitches by covering be completed with solid long edges.
Assuming that it is the anatomical shape of the front part of the human foot recommends putting the toe portion of a stocking in a pronounced It has already become known to let the point run out on the flat weft knitting machine to cover the goods of the point on both sides with the exception of a few, for example two stitches. Usually one works on this end row, for example two stitches wide the tip, advantageously using a non-fluffy one Thread, a number of top rows, around the end row of the lace in a common way to be able to chain off. These top rows become after burping the end row, hey trickled onto the linking machine in a likewise known manner. Because the top except for this narrow row of end stitches, it has only solid edges also already become known from binding off the end row completely foreseeable. The end row of the tip is then simply closed straight through: the usual longitudinal seam that joins the fixed edges of the molded stocking serves. Provided that you are working on top rows on the top end row omitted, there is, however, the risk of running stitches, because the stitches of the lace end row are not always reliable from the longitudinal seam can be detected. Because of this, another well-known goes. Solution to the To work on top rows again, in such a length that the narrow string of rows rolls up by itself so that it is sewn together of the stocking blanket can simply be sewn off. However, it is to be feared that that the string loosens itself when the stocking is used, which is why it finally became known, this top-row lacing when sewing together of the stocking fitting to be included in the longitudinal seam. If necessary, it can turn the string formed by two threads, with the proviso, that one thread extends over the entire width of the string, the other , on the other hand only over part of the same. This again intends to to exclude the self-unraveling of the string.
The purpose of the invention is now, with such stockings, not only @ # avoid a separate linking process at the top, which makes the production more expensive, but also that for the necessary securing of the stitches of the lace end row to make previously handled preparation of a top row tying legal. This means that the load on the flat weft knitting machine is also relieved; it is highly uneconomical to use the same over a number of To produce rows extending pieces of goods that are only a few meshes wide.
The goal set in the present procedure is achieved by for this after completion of the toe and / or: the heel parts to the remaining ones Stitches a correspondingly narrow grater, then cut the thread and then do the same by pulling off the molded stocking against the or the chair needles in question pulled freely through the remaining mesh or meshes will.
The new method can be carried out in essentially two ways Because.
One way is that after covering the top except for two stitches on the same two more stitches and on top one of the two dockers is withdrawn., while- the second decker his mesh overhangs to the adjacent stitch, whereupon the remaining single double stitch worked a drain stitch and then cut the thread on the thread guide side so that the cut end pulls through this double stitch of the tip. The other way is that after covering the top down to two stitches A two-mesh-wide ridge worked on this by means of a special thread and then the special thread is cut off on the thread guide side so that the special thread in the form of an open loop through the heads of the two finishing stitches the top pulls.
Pulling through the free end of the thread forming the stocking is known per se for hand-knitted stockings. This is where this pulling takes place but exclusively by hand, which is the same thing produced on the hand knitting machine Applies to stockings. The teaching of the invention, the tensile force on the stocking molding in connection with the abutment activity of the chair needles in question to pull through To use the end of the thread is not evident from this prior knowledge. Furthermore but - and this is the most important thing - these well-known knitted stockings are seamless. The solid longitudinal edges of the toe part and / or the heel parts around the with flat-knitted stockings it turns crucial, so there is with these knitted stockings not at all.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment shown. Figs. R to 6 show the different work phases of the one Type of procedure, while from Fig. 7 to io the work sequence of the second procedure emerges.
The present stocking is in a known manner in the point except for two stitches i, 2 covered together, which stitches, as shown in Fig. i emerges to be formed by double stitches. The two deckers 3, .I are located here in their inner end position. Then one of the two stitches 5, 6 ge; formed row and now one of the two deckers, in Fig. a the left decker 3, withdrawn to the left so that he is now outside of the on the - Chair needles hanging stitches stands. With the Decker d. you now hang the mesh 6 on stitch 5 (Fig. 3). Once this has been done, work according to Fig. .4 on the double stitch 5, 6 a top stitch 7, after its completion the thread is cut on the thread guide side. Then you pull the finished stocking molding, which is also under the influence of the existing goods take-off roller, aib. Included the needle 8, which formed the last stitch 7, acts as an abutment (Fig. 5), so that the free end of the thread originally forming the stitch 7 through the double stitch 5, 6 is pulled, as shown in Fig. 6. The double stitch 5, 6 is open locked in this way absolutely perfectly.
If in the procedure described above, the tip except for one Mesh 5, 6 is covered together, which is locked, so goes the now described Proceed from a point with two stitches from the roofing at the end with exception of. The top is back up here on the two double stitches i, 2 put together in the sense of Fig. i of the previously described method (Fig.7). Then you work on these two double stitches i, 2 again one of the two Stitch 5, 6 existing row on (Fig. 8). Once this has happened, the thread guide will who leads the thread material for the stocking, put out of action and with a Special thread now worked on a top hoop, which is also made of two stitches 9, zo consists (Fig. 9). Then you cut the thread of these stitches 9, io the thread guide side. By peeling off the molded stocking with the help of the needles 11, 12 the thread is then in the form of an upwardly open loop through the mesh 5, 6 pulled, as Fig. Io shows.
This procedure can be modified to the extent that one is working which omits two stitches 5, 6. 'So you could look at the double stitches i. 2 immediately the meshes 9, io formed by the special thread act. Have stitches 5, 6 basically just the task of balancing the tension.
The procedure described on the basis of the two examples can be used also on the heel parts of flat-knitted stockings, provided the heel parts are included are formed by covering the width of the goods.
It is advisable to use the top stitch 7 in the method described first just like the draufmasche.n 9, io particularly long in the second type of procedure to cultivate.
