Description
Electromagnetic relay with laminated armature With remote-controlled model aircraft it is important that the weight of the remote control systems is as low as possible, otherwise only larger model aircraft can be equipped with remote control systems. In addition, the weight of the remote control system depends on the usable portable weight, which is felt to be disadvantageous in particular in the case of Wetterdiens.tmodellen. The weight of the simple remote control systems built so far is around 3oo to qoo g. The majority of the weight is attributable to the batteries required to operate the systems. In particular, the solenoid requires considerable operating currents and usually a special battery. The invention has set itself the task of creating a highly sensitive, lightweight switching magnet that is controlled directly from the end tube of the receiver with low currents, so that not only the weight of the control relay is eliminated and the weight of the switching magnet is lighter, but above all that usually the additional battery required for the solenoid is saved. With such a relay and switching arrangement, the weight of a receiver, which was equipped with normal switching magnets and weighed qoo g, was reduced to 170 g. A normal switching magnet is understood to mean a magnet that has two legs, from whose pole pieces the armature, which in the rest position must have a considerable distance s (approximately r mm), is attracted. The force acting on the anchor is where F is the area of the pole pieces in cm2, (wi) is the number of ampere-turns and a is the travel of the armature in centimeters.
If a known magnet arrangement is used for the switching relay, in which the armature is drawn into an air gap in the magnet, and if the remaining air gap s is small compared to the air gap of the magnet, the force that occurs here on the armature is in the direction of the Air gap (Fig. 2) It is essential that the air gap s can be chosen to be considerably smaller than the working travel a, so that the force effect of this magnet arrangement, which is constant over a, is considerably greater than the magnet arrangement according to Fig. R.
However, this relay arrangement has a disadvantage in the embodiment described so far. If the widths b and a are large compared to the gap width of the magnet, very strong torsional forces PD occur with the smallest asymmetrical position of the armature (Fig. 3 a), which, with a small air gap s, lead to the armature being bent so that d @ ate it stuck to the pole pieces of the magnet. To avoid this disadvantage, the armature is laminated according to the invention in such a way that its magnetic resistance perpendicular to the direction of the lines of force in the air gap is many times greater than parajlel to the direction of the lines of force, so that the magnetic flux across the direction of these lines of force is practically prevented. As a result, the forces PD, which act with the slightest asymmetry of the armature position in the air gap on the armature in the direction of the lines of force, and these. Try to twist out of its central position, canceled (Fig. 3). The individual lamellae are magnetically separated from one another by a non-magnetic layer. According to a further development of the invention, this separation can also be achieved in this way. the fact that narrow grooves are milled into an anchor blank and filled with hard solder or another non-magnetic binding agent. After the binding agent has hardened, the anchor can then be finished.
The subdivision in the direction of the lines of force should be at least like this be strong because the anchor appears to be composed of cubes.
Another feature of the invention relates to implementation the generated tensile force P of the magnet into the greatest possible torque N of the stepping mechanism (Fig. 4a), where the moment M is generated by a pretensioned drive spring and only is triggered via the pawl S by the force P. At the support of the shift lever on the pawl S there is the bearing force A, which is opposite to the direction of movement of the shift lever produces the frictional force O - A when O is the coefficient of friction is between the switching arm and the pawl. To eliminate this frictional force, form the contact surfaces between the shift lever and the pawl have an angle of 9ö ° -arc tg o, as shown in Fig. 4b. This ensures that one with the least Force P is enough to trigger a moment M. With an executed arrangement could create a moment with an excitation current of 4 mA with 20,000 turns of the magnet of 9o gr-cm.
The relay arrangement described above has also already described advantage of the greatest possible tightening force further significant advantages compared to the arrangement r with a moving armature in the direction of the lines of force that move especially with the. Use of airplane model controls and the like cheap impact. As a result of the even tightening force on the anchor throughout Switching travel is the difference between the drop-out and pick-up current of the relay the anchor pretensioned by the return spring is very low, so that the previously troublesome Influence of residual currents is eliminated. The relay can therefore be placed directly in the anode power line an electrode tube work as a working relay. Furthermore, there is no susceptibility to failure against vibrations (e.g. caused by engine shocks), as was previously the case when using a sensitive switching relay other than the working relay occurred. And thirdly, he can Switching travel a can be made as large as desired without leverage, creating space and Weight can be saved. Of course, such a relay arrangement is not applicable to model aircraft control limited, but can be used wherever the same advantages are achieved should be.
