Ein derartiger Absatzschoner ist aus der DE-PS 211 052 bekannt. Demgemäß besteht der Absatzschoner aus einer Laufplatte und einem Schaft, dessen Querschnittsfläche kleiner als die Fläche der Laufplatte ist, wobei nur der Schaft in eine Bohrung des Absatzes bzw. des Lauffleckes eingesetzt wird, so daß die Laufplatte des Absatzschoners diese Bohrung überkragt und sich an der Lauffläche des Absatzes abstützt. Dadurch kann die Bohrung für den Schaft ausreichend weit vom Rand des Absatzes angeordnet werden, wobei dann trotzdem die Laufplatte bis zu diesem Rand reicht.
