Non-positive flange connection between ferritic and austenitic components
Flange connections between two components have the task of between them
to establish a tight connection. The solution to this problem encounters difficulties,
when the temperature of the agent flowing through the compound is high, especially
then, when a high pressure is connected with the high temperature, like
it is practically always the case with modern high-pressure systems. It is there.
less the state of equilibrium that leads to the. Difficulty leads, than, rather
the deviation: g from him. Such deviations occur when the pipe has gotten cold
and has to be heated up again, but, even if the temperature
flowing message fluctuates. The difficulties become particularly great when the
both to be connected to one another by the flange connection. Components made from plastic
of various expansion coefficients, e.g. one made of ferritic, the
others made of austenitic material. The austenitic Weirks.toff stretches a lot
stronger than the ferritic one and contracts, therefore more when it cools down,
so that when the temperature is lowered, the risk of leakage is particularly great.
Man. could now. assume "that the leakage when the temperature changes in. Purchase
because it is only temporary and disappears again when the
Equilibrium is restored. However, an apparition does occur
on which of the achievement of the equilibrium and thus the tightness
counteracts. The size of the leakage gap. surrendered
from the
Tension of the screws that hold the connection together. Now pouring as a result
an occurring. Leakage of hot working medium from the flange., Soi
it gets to the screws and heats them up. However, heating up is synonymous
with an extension of the screw shaft, and this in turn acts as a
Enlargement of the leick gap. More work equipment is flowing through it
Gap, the very stoves are heated up even further, and now it is hardly possible
to get the flansoh connection tight again.
From this knowledge, a path is proposed according to the invention,
in order to reduce the harmful effects of flange leakage steam under the specified conditions: fes
to be eliminated by the fact that it is behind the actual flange seal
is shut off in such a way that: ß he can not get to the screws. An easy
Means for carrying out this inventive concept is an elastic ring, the
shuts off the leakage steam.
i und: 2 erläutert.
The invention is explained with reference to the two exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 1 and 2. It is assumed that it is a connection between a ferritic component and an austenitic component. The parts made of ferritic building material are marked with "f", those made of austenitic building material with "a". Let i be a machine part, such as a turbine housing, 2 a pipe that goes through. a flange connection is to be connected to part i. A flange shape known per se is selected, namely an on. Compressed collar on pipe 2, against which a loose ring 3 rests. The sealing surface 4 is formed by a flat and a curved surface which are pressed against one another by screws: 5. The sealing surfaces 4 and the screw tensioning 5 are dimensioned in such a way that the flange connection is tight under the operating conditions in a state of equilibrium.
If. now as a result of a leak, for example as a result of a change in temperature,
but steam would pass through the sealing surfaces 4, so he would be at the
Get screws 5 and heat them up. To prevent this, a ring 6 is inserted,
which merges into an elastic rim 7 with a thickening 8. The ring is
so, formed, there, ß he in the unclamped state in part 7 a visibly conical
Has shape, d. H. there, ß the part 7 after making the connection a certain bias
has in the axial direction. As a result, it is with its thickening 8 against the surface
9 and, represents a second seal behind the sealing surface
4 is switched. The ring 6 itself is held and pressed on by a nut io.
When steam enters space ii, which is bounded by: component i and, ring 6
is, so could: under certain circumstances the high operating pressure build up in this;, the
in the pipeline: 2 prevails. That can be the strength of the inserted shut-off ring
endanger. In such a case it will be appropriate to use the space ii via the
Bringing bore i2 with the outside space and thus a pressure relief
bring about.
In off because guide @ example of FIG: 2 is an expansion shaft 14 is worked onto the inserted ring 13, the finite 1 in the tube 5 @ 2 is welded. The somewhat more difficult production of the ring 13, 14 has the advantage that the weld at 1 5 ensures absolute tightness.
