Zum anderen ist bei einem Personenkraftfahrzeug der Kofferraum meist nur direkt von einer Seite her, d. h. der Rückseite oder bei einem vorne liegenden Kofferraum von der Vorderseite her zugänglich. Falls Antriebseinrichtungen (nicht gezeigt) vorgesehen sind, können diese möglichst platzsparend in der Nähe des Radlaufkastens oder dergleichen untergebracht werden.
