BESCHREIBUNG Lackier- und TrocknungskabineDESCRIPTION Painting and drying booth
The invention relates to a painting and drying booth in which vehicles such as passenger cars, trucks, trams or vehicle parts or the like can be painted. Painting is carried out in particular with water-based paint, which is subjected to a drying process after painting.
STAND DER TECHNIKSTATE OF THE ART
In order to remove the fumes and paint mist that arise during painting from the work area inside the booth, which is desirable both for reasons of environmental protection and occupational safety, as well as with a view to achieving an optimal painting result, it is known to guide the air in the booth vertically through the booth. The air is blown in through openings in the booth ceiling and extracted through openings in the booth floor. The extracted air is then directed into the atmosphere. Blowing the exhaust air directly into the atmosphere is often perceived as a disturbing environmental burden.
When using water-based paints, drying must take place within a very short time, and low ambient temperatures are required. The ambient air must be able to absorb water vapor at this temperature so that the moisture can evaporate from the paint. Since the paint must dry right down to the painted surface, heating after painting without so-called IRT radiators will not achieve sufficient success.

DARSTELLUNG DER ERFINDUNGDESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention is based on the problem of providing an improved painting and drying booth based on this prior art, which ensures an optimal drying process, particularly for water-based paint, and at the same time enables environmentally friendly use.
This invention is given by the features of the main claim. It is accordingly characterized in that a dry air generator device is present for drying and heating the flowing air and the cabin and the dry air generator unit form a closed recirculation system. The air in the cabin is sucked in by the dry air generator device via a suction-pressure fan. This air contains a relatively high water content. Firstly, this air with a high water content is cooled significantly in the dry air generator device so that when the temperature falls below the dew point, water condenses out and is collected within the dry air generator device. The condensation heat generated when the water condenses is used to heat the air again so that this warmed, now dry air can be blown back into the cabin. Preferably, the air leaving the drying generator device has a temperature between about 10 0 C and 70 0 C and in particular between about 25 0 C and 35 0 C, the water content preferably being about 0.001 to 0.008 kg/m^ of water. This dewatered circulating air causes the water content in the paint to evaporate from the inside to the outside even at relatively low temperatures. Under the conditions described, the paint is already surface-dry in a drying time of 4 to 10 minutes. After the dry air passing over the surface of the vehicle has absorbed water components from the paint, it flows back to the drying air generator.

Hinzu kommt, daß bei einem derartig geschlossenen System unabhängig von der Außenwitterung gearbeitet werden kann.rator unit, where it is drained, heated and fed back into the cabin. This closed air circulation system means that the atmosphere is not affected by the exhaust air that is normally blown out. In addition, with such a closed system, work can be carried out regardless of the outside weather.
The dry air generator can be located either inside the painting and drying booth or outside it, whereby in the latter case the drying air is circulated via guide ducts located between the dry air generator device and the booth.
Since drying is carried out without supply or exhaust air, work can be carried out in a closed cabin that can be set up in any workshop.
According to the invention, a known painting and drying booth with supply air and exhaust air ducts can be converted into a painting and drying booth according to the invention in a simple manner and without extensive costs by closing the existing supply and exhaust air ducts in order to prevent the influence of external air on the drying process. The dry air generator device can either be arranged inside the booth or, if space does not permit this, connected outside the booth to the existing supply and exhaust air ducts to form a closed circuit.
Further advantageous embodiments of the painting and drying booth according to the invention can be found in the further features of the subclaims.

WEGE ZUR AUSFÜHRUNG DER ERFINDUNGWAYS OF IMPLEMENTING THE INVENTION
A painting and drying booth 10 has an approximately rectangular cross-section.
The interior 11 of the cabin 10 is bordered on the sides by walls 12, 14, at the bottom by a floor 16 and at the top by a ceiling 17. There is a front and back on the front and rear end of the cabin 10. A vehicle 19 can be transported into the cabin 10 through this front or back end and can be painted there.
In the middle area of the floor 16, a support grid 18 is arranged, under which a shaft 20 is located. The painting and drying booth 10 shown in Fig. shows a booth that has been converted from the known supply and exhaust air duct system to a recirculation system. Here, the former supply air duct 22 leading into the ceiling 17 is closed by a closing unit 24. Likewise, the former exhaust air duct 26 connected to the shaft 20 is equipped with a closing unit.

heit 28 verschlossen. Between the inlet of the supply air duct 22 and the closing unit 24 and between the inlet of the exhaust air duct 26 and the closing unit 28, a dry air generator 30 is connected to the supply air duct 22 via a first guide duct 32 and to the exhaust air duct 26 via a second guide duct 34. This creates a closed recirculation system. Within the dry air generator 30, a condenser unit 36 is arranged downstream of the connection of the second guide duct 34, which is followed by a heating unit 38.
The drying process now takes place as follows: In the area where the second guide channel 34 joins the dry air generator 30, there is a suction-pressure fan (not shown in Fig. 1) that sucks in the moist air in the cabin 10. The circulating air flowing in the former exhaust air channel 26 or in the second guide channel 34 is now cooled down considerably within the condenser unit 36 so that the temperature falls below the dew point and the water present in the circulating air is separated. This water condensate is collected via a collection unit (not shown in Fig. 1) within the dry air generator 30.
Nach dem Vorbeistreichen an der Lackober-After the incoming moist circulating air has been dehydrated by the condenser unit 36, the now dry air is heated to approx. 25 - 38 0 C in the heating unit 38, whereby the condensation heat released during the condensation process is used to heat the air. The dry warm air enters the interior 11 of the booth 10 via the first guide duct 32 or the former supply air duct 22 and is passed along the vehicle surface. This dehydrated circulating air with a water content of approx. 0.003 to 0.006 kg/m^ forces the water in the paint to evaporate from the inside to the outside even at the relatively low temperatures of approx. 25 - 35 0 C. After passing the paint surface, the air is heated to approx.

This moist, cooled circulating air is now drawn off via the shaft 20, the former exhaust air duct 26 and the second guide duct 34 to the dry air generator 30.
The process described above is then repeated continuously. With this drying system according to the invention, the paint is surface-dry within approximately 4 to 10 minutes. The paint can then evaporate and harden under normal air conditions through the finest pores that are open to water vapor.
The size of the dry air generator depends on the amount of paint to be processed per hour. It can be adapted to the existing conditions without any major problems.
In contrast to the booth 10 according to Fig. 1, the booth 50 according to Fig. 2 is completely closed off from the outside. In the interior 60, a dry air generator 70 is arranged in the right-hand area of the booth 50, which also has the condenser unit 36 and heating unit 38 already described above.
