In modernen Möbeln, besonders Kütfchenmöbeln sind die Fronten von Schubkästen vielfach nicht mehr fest mit dem Schubkasten verbunden, beispielsweise durch Verschrauben oder Verleimen, sondern aus fertigungstechnischen Gründen und um gegebenenfalls eine Auswechslung gegen eine andere Frontplatte zu ermöglichen, am Schubkasten durch Rastverbindungen, also im' Prinzip abnehmbar gehalten. Aus Gründen der Stabilität muß aber in diesen Fällen, besonders wenn es sich um einen höheren Schubkasten handelt, dessen Front nur in ihrem unteren Bereich durch Einrasten an einem Teil der Schubkastenzarge gehalten ist, eine starre Frjontstütze vorgesehen sein, welche sich »schräg vom oberen Teil der Front zur Zarge erstreckt und die durch den meist im oberen Teil der Front angebrachten Griff ausgeübten Zugkräfte auf die Zarge überträgt. Der Verstelldübel ist in d(&pgr; Figuren 2 bis 5 genauer gezeigt. Er besteht aus einem Dübelgehäuse 7 aus Kunststoff und der sogenannten Schnappmutter 8 aus Metall oder Kunststoff, die ein auf das Außengewinde der Frontstütze, passendes Innengev/inde 9 aufweist. Das Dübelgehäuse 7 greift mit einer an seinem oberen Rand ausgebildeten, nach innen reichenden Rastwulst 10 in eine entsprechende umlaufende Nut 11 der Schnappmutter ein und hält diese frei drehbar, jedoch unverschiebbar. Die nötige Elastizität des Dübelgehäuses ist dadurch gegeben, dadurch daß dieses einen seitlichen Schlitz 12 aufweist (Fig. 5). Zur sicheren Befestigung des Dübelgehäuses in einer Bohrung 16 der Frontplatte, beispielsweise durch Einleimen, ist das Dübelgehäuse an seiner Außenseite mit umlaufenden Rippen 13 ausgebildet.
