Description

Electrical capacitor with thin metal coatings The invention relates on electrical capacitors, thin deposits on the dielectric, z. B. by dusting, vapor deposition, spraying, melting or chemical or galvanic deposition, are applied.

Hondensafiorpl, plates produced in this way are used individually or in groups, stacked to form stacked capacitors, with a power supply being provided for each assignment. In the main, pressure contacts are used here; In the case of single plates, riveted connections are common, in the case of stacked plates, thin metal strips are inserted, which are held in place under the pressure of the plates held together under tension. It has been shown nine, including the choice of which metal depends on various points of view. For example, ma; n,, uses tin foil as the feed strip, since the softness of this metal offered sufficient security against the formation of burrs and damage to the thin coatings caused by them. The lining itself was made of a precious metal, e.g. B. gold or silver, according to one of the known. Process made. This design has the disadvantage that tin has a particularly strong tendency to diffuse with gold and silver, so that the coatings are destroyed in a short time. Man. tried to remedy this deficiency by using connecting foils made of aluminum, since this at, the @ inevitable oxide layer on the aluminum min moberaächee a diffusion. with, the covering metals prevented. In return, however, Würisc'ht: e transition resistance and an increase of the loss factor. These aftermaths are -by the invention there- by avoiding that the power supply for loading laying in whole or in part, but at least on the Contact point with the assignment, elus a metal exists,: whose: tendency to diffuse with idem Belqgmaberial is as small as possible. Investigations have shown that the destruction ides Metal coating is due to the fact that the Metals among themselves: a certain tendency to diffuse sion, where the diffusion rate of the mobility of the metal atoms and thus in mainly depends on the melting point of the metals. h, changes. On the basis of this knowledge, the following meta11urgical series established: platinum; Gold, Silver, nickel, copper, brass, aluminum, zinc, Tin, mercury. The position of a metal in. this series shows his tendency towards Diffusxon with another meltall. This is depending on @dex mutual distance greater or smaller, so that so, slightest tendency to diffuse between neighboring metals. The observed phenomenon in the gold resp. Silver coatings ai and eat the tin electrodes, if man the position of the metals in the @dex series endeavors, understandable, since they almost stand from each other and thus the greatest must show a tendency to diffusion. So it turns out that either of that Beln ,, - metal based on the associated electrode meta: ll determined according to the specified series or for an established, uus, specific reason necessary electrode metal the Bela, material notices. Diemzufiolgie would therefore be for a condensate. sabor, whose Bleliabe z. B. consist of silver, suitably nickel or nickel-plated copper as Power supply must be chosen.
