Der in Fig. 1 bis 3 dargestellte Skischuh weist eine an den Schaft 10 lose anschließende Manschette 11 auf, welche den Schaft inwendig übergreift, wie aus Fig. 3 zu erkennen ist. Das Zugmittel 15 läuft ferner über die Ristpartie des Schuhes und ist um den Schaft 10 herumgeschlagen. Die freien Enden der Zugmittel 14 und 15 sind mit Hilfe eines verstellbaren Schnallenverschlusses 20 gemäß Fig. 2 lösbar miteinander verbunden. Die Manschette 11 ist in bezug auf den .Schaft 10 des Schuhes beweglich und wird von den Mitteln 14 bis 19 in Richtung der Schuhsohle 21 niedergehalten. Aus Fig. 1 und 2 •ist ersichtlich, daß die genannten Mittel 14 bis 19 eine Schwenkung der Manschette 11 um eine gedachte Achse gestatten, die durch die beiden Ösen 16 und 17 der Haltemittel 18 und 19 geht. Wenn der beschriebene Skischuh getragen wird, so umfaßt die Manschette 11 den Unterschenkel des Beines wenig oberhalb der Fußgelenkknöchel, während die erwähnte und gedachte Schwenkachse der Manschette unterhalb dieser Knöchel liegt. Beim Anspannen der beiden Zugmittel 14 und 16 mittels des Schnallenverschlusses 20 wird der Fuß somit gegen die Sohle 21 des Schuhes gezogen, und zwar nicht nur durch die Spannwirkung des Zugmittels 15 über dem Rist, sondern auch, was von Bedeutung ist, durch die Manschette 11, die ober- - halb des Fußgelenkes angreift. Daraus ergibt sich ein guter Halt des Fußgelenkes im Schuh, ohne daß dabei die Beweglichkeit des Fußgelenkes eingeschränkt wird, weil die Manschette bezüglich des Schaftes beweglich angeordnet ist. Trotz des auf diese Weise erreichten guten Haltes des Fußgelenkes sind Scheuerwirkungen am Unterschenkel praktisch vollständig ausgeschaltet, erstens wegen der Polsterung 12 der Manschette und zweitens wieder wegen der beweglichen Anordnung der Manschette in bezug auf den Schaft.
