Ein wesentlicher Nachteil ist der hohe Materialaufwand zur Erreichung einer notwendigen Mindeststeifigkeit bz«. Festigkeit für den Trägerrahmen. Hinzu kommen noch andere Nachteile. Steifigkeit läßt sich mit derart geformten Trägerrahmen eine beträchtliche Materialeinsparung erzielen. Die Materialeinsparung läßt sich noch durch Armierung des Kunststoffes steigern. Besonders geeignet sind Armierungen aus Glasfasern.
