Description
FuG bzw. Fußplanke von Leitschienen FuG or foot plank of guard rails
The invention relates to a foot or a foot plank of guard rail systems along traffic routes, by means of concrete base sections that are bevelled on at least one side in cross-section, or the like.
Known guard rail systems basically consist of columns and rails mounted on them. Columns are usually founded at regular intervals on the side of the road, on the shoulder, on bridge edge beams (bridge caps), 1m median strip area or similar. Depending on the subsoil, the foundation is made by ramming, setting in concrete or screwing. Longitudinal guard rails are mounted indirectly - e.g. via damping brackets or similar - or directly on the heads of the columns.
Bei Brücken ist der Fußbereich der LeitschienenanlagenThe base area of the guard rails between the roadway and the pillars is generally free; exceptions exist for drainage facilities such as troughs, gutters, bulges or similar. On bridges, the base area of the guard rails is
gegenüber der Fahrbahn zumeist erhöht und durch einen Bordstein oder dgl. von der Fahrbahn getrennt.usually raised above the roadway and separated from the roadway by a curb or similar.
The state of the art also includes the guard rail construction according to AT-PS 376 260 (Urlberger), which essentially provides a roughly bell-shaped solid plank base and beams (rails) spaced apart by posts on the top. However, this known base design of guard rail systems can only be used in the context of new systems. It cannot be used for existing systems in the form of metal rails mounted on metal posts. This known construction also has the disadvantage that the beams on the top are mounted on rigid post profiles (e.g. I-profile) (see e.g. Fig. 5 of AT-PS 376 260), which means that they do not have the desired deformability for the purpose of energy conversion when vehicles collide.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of creating a subsequent improvement of already existing guidance devices on the one hand, and on the other hand of mounting the upper beams of guard rails with a solid lower part by means of deformable brackets.

In general, it can be said about the known, already existing guard rail systems made of metal rails on metal posts (without a solid base ) that their conductive effect only begins when vehicles slide along them, with all the unpleasant consequences that this entails.
The invention completely eliminates this major disadvantage. It provides for the base design of the guard rail systems with a suitable guide base (1), the wheel-repellent and conductive (returning) effect of which already exists before grinding. The suitable base design is characterized above all by the fact that the suitable solid guide base, e.g. made of reinforced concrete, placed freely on the ground, is positioned in front of the guard rail (8) on the traffic side, with its front edge running approx. 12 - 20 cm in front of the guard rail edge. The traffic-side profile of the guide base provides, according to the invention, an approximately 10 cm high, longitudinal, steep wheel-repellent side surface (2), which deviates from the vertical by approximately 10 degrees, as well as an adjoining approximately 55 degree inclined surface (3) with a wheel-guiding or wheel-pressure-guiding effect. The edge between these two longitudinal side surfaces is rounded with a radius of about 4 cm.

A vehicle leaving the road first touches the steep, longitudinal surface (2) that deflects the wheels and can, depending on the approach angle, be guided back onto the road, or it can drive onto the adjacent slope (3), which has a reversing effect. Depending on the approach angle, the vehicle is guided back or continues to climb until it comes into contact with the guard rail. As a result of energy conversion when the guard rail deforms and the speed is reduced, the vehicle will descend with possibly minor damage to the wheels and, in the best case, remain maneuverable.
Due to the interaction of the desired guide base (1) with the rail system, damage to desired guide systems will be less than with previously known ones. For example, a design with a desired additional guide base element with subsequent installation on an existing system is significantly more stable with regard to deformation of the columns (10) when vehicles approach the base area without contact with the guide rail.
Damage to the rails (8) in the case of control systems designed in this way is reduced to those cases in which vehicles climb up to the rail.
So entfällt z. In addition to the advantages of increased safety and the reduction of damage to vehicles and control systems, systems designed in this way also have the advantage of being easier to assemble and disassemble. For example, with versions with guide rail base elements, there is no need to build the columns. With these versions with a guide effect on both sides, e.g. in the central reservation of roads or motorways, so-called "road crossings" can be advantageously created by opening the guide system and aligning it accordingly. A further advantage of systems with base bases is that the system has a link chain effect and energy is dissipated when vehicles approach. Minor shifts in the system can be corrected with little effort, without parts having to be replaced - as is the case with conventional guide rail systems.
For existing guard rail systems in a known design, the invention provides subsequently mountable guard base elements. These have an approximately trapezoidal cross-section and possibly approximately rectangular recesses (5) on the sides of the ends facing away from traffic for fitting the columns (10) and are - in the case of a one-sided asymmetrical design of the existing system - placed in front of the traffic side. In the case of two-sided symmetrical designs (e.g. for double guard rail systems for front line separation), the guard bases can either be arranged on both sides in the foot area of the existing guard rail system or inserted in one piece. For the purpose of advantageous interaction with the existing system, subsequently mountable guard base elements can be connected to one another and preferably simultaneously with the columns (10) by means of connecting clamps (6) and held together. Subsequently mountable guard bases have cross-sectional dimensions of approximately b = 40 cm and h = 30 cm for one-sided designs; and approximately w = 70 cm and h » 35 cm for double-sided versions. The running meter weight is therefore approximately 200 to 500 kg.
For new systems, the invention preferably provides guide bases, which simultaneously serve as the basis for the entire system. The guide rails are mounted on the top of the base using deformable brackets (9). Heads (11) protruding from the top of the guide bases can be provided to which the guide rails are attached. The guide base base elements have an approximately trapezoidal to approximately arched profile and can be designed to be asymmetrical on one side or symmetrical on both sides. The cross-sectional dimensions of the base base are approximately b » 60 cm and h » up to 40 cm for the asymmetrical version; and b * 110 cm, h *
40 cm beim symmetrisch ausgebildeten Element. Die Masse dieser Sockel beträgt je Laufmeter etwa zwischen 400 und 800 kg.40 cm for the symmetrical element. The mass of these bases is approximately between 400 and 800 kg per linear meter.
Folgende Eigenschaften gelten für beide Ausfuhrungearten erfgm. Leitsockel gemeinsam: The following properties apply to both types of guide base:
189 cm)The length of the elements is based on the known rail length or column spacing, reduced by a butt joint dimension of around 1 cm. (In Austria, for example, this corresponds to 380 cm or 190 cm reduced by 1 cm each, i.e. 379 or 189 cm)

For road drainage, the elements can be provided with recesses on the underside that form transverse passages (7). A longitudinal recess (7 1 ) can also be advantageously arranged and form a longitudinal channel that serves to connect the transverse channels or, for example, a cable or pipe guide. Grooves (4) with approximately elongated hole-shaped recesses for receiving connecting clamps (6) can be arranged on the top of the ends of the guide base elements. Depending on the type of connection, the grooves are arranged either parallel or transversely to the longitudinal direction of the base elements (1). For example, longitudinally in a longitudinal connection of guide base elements to one another; transversely in a connection including a column (10).
