Die Erfindung verfolgt den Zweck, die Biegefestigkeit der Kunstkohle
als Schleifkontaktmaterial zu vergrößern. The invention has the purpose of increasing the flexural strength of the charcoal
to enlarge as sliding contact material.
The compressive strength of charcoal is good; their flexural strength against it
. gives difficulties e.g. B. with the carbon contact strips, as they are on the pantographs
the railroad and tram locomotives are used. These grinding pieces
are beams made of carbon, the ends of which rest on the pantograph frame and of
pressed against the contact wire. The pressure on this carbon beam moves
when driving according to the zigzag guidance of the contact wire alternately from the
Center against the ends of the contact strip. The carbon contact strips are on their lower ones
Side set in a metal support, which the bending strength against the inevitable
Increase blows while driving and if the coal breaks, the pantograph will jump up
should prevent; In addition, the metal carrier has to take over the power line. There
the elasticity of the carbon is disproportionate to that of the metal support, improves
this the flexural strength is barely noticeable when the connection between metal girders
and coal is made by resiliently pressing against the side surfaces of the coal.
In the case of the contact strips, the metal support of which is directly attached to the lower side of the coal
is cast on (silumin), a considerable increase in flexural strength is achieved.
This is because by pouring the metal onto the carbon wiper
adhesion between carbon and metal is achieved and also as a result of shrinkage
the casting creates tension in the adhesive surface when it cools. As well as
the adhesion as well as the shrinkage tension increase the resistance of the carbon contact strip
against bending by being subjected to the train in the outermost tensile zone @ of the bending cross-section
counteract. This increase in flexural strength was due to the choice of the cast
Bracket not intended, but resulted from the production method by itself.
In practice, however, it has been shown that a good and even among the individual pieces
The value of the adhesion and the shrinkage stress cannot be maintained; through this
scatters: the flexural strength of the pieces among each other is very strong. It also dissolves
the adhesive surface often decreases as a result of fatigue, which endangers the catenary and
results in increased consumption of contact strips.
Bindemittel hergestellt. The object of the invention is to increase the flexural strength of the carbon contact strips several times over what has been achieved so far, in order to avoid damage to the overhead contact line and current collector as a result of broken contact blocks, also to save weight, to improve the dynamic behavior of the collector and to reduce the consumption of contact blocks to diminish. This task is solved by transferring the advances in construction technology with reinforced and prestressed concrete to the technology of charcoal, which is by no means related to it. In terms of compressive and tensile strength, carbon and concrete are comparable with one another. Accordingly, the essential feature of the invention is that it is claimed in a bending. A wire bundle with or without pre-tensioning is inserted into the carbon in the tensile zone of the bending cross-section and the bending strength of the latter is increased by the bond between the metal and the carbon. A carbon contact strip manufactured according to this principle has wires cast into the material of the tension zone, which are fastened in metal caps at both ends of the contact strip. Fig. I of the drawing shows such a carbon without caps with protruding wire ends a, Fig. A the same carbon in section AB with the tensioning wires b adhering to the carbon with or without pretensioning, and Fig. 3 the same carbon with the end caps c, in to which the tension wire ends a (Fig. i) are anchored, and which are used for power conduction and fastening. The material of the tension wires must roughly correspond to that of the carbon in terms of its thermal expansion. If the tension wires are not to be accommodated in the material of the tensile zone, then they are placed in grooves which are formed in the outermost tensile zone of the coal as shown in Figs. Q., 5 and 6; with d are the grooves, with e the tensioning wires inserted into them and with f the end caps, in which the anchors g for keeping the tensioning wires e are introduced. The adhesion of the tension wires e to the carbon is established by filling the grooves d with hardening binding agent.
