Beschreibung
Die Erfindung betrifft eine künstliche Hüftgelenks=- pfanne zur Verankerung im Acetabulum des menschlichen Beckenknochehs mit Hilfe eines aushärtenden Knochenzements, mit mindestens teilweise umlaufenden Haftnuten in der Aussenflache.
Aus der DE-OS 25 23 267 oder der EU-OS 0 149 425 ist eine - allerdings zementfreie - Hüftgelenkspfanne bekannt, die an ihrer Aussenflache umlaufende Haftnuten aufweist, in welche das angrenzende natürliche Knochengewebe hineinwachsen soll, um auf diese Weise eine gute Verankerung der Pfanne zu ermöglichen.
Ausserdem sind künstliche Hüftgelenkspfannen der eingangs genannten Art - auch als zementierbare Pfanne - bekannt. Beim Einsetzen einer derartigen Pfanne in das Zementbett wird Knochenzement in die Haftnuten hineingedrückt, wodurch ebenfalls eine feste und dauerhafte Verankerung zwischen Hüftgelenkspfanne und Beckenknochen verwirklicht werden soll. Langzeitergebnisse haben jedoch gezeigt, dass eine derartig verankerte Hüftgelenkspfanne wegen der starken Dauerbeanspruchung sich gleichwohl vom Zement lockert, sich. _* ~~ 'J% verförmt und bei grösserer Verformung aus den in die Haftnuten eingreifenden Zementansätzen löst.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es daher, eine zementierbare Hüftgelenkspfanne der eingangs genannten Art derart weiterzubilden, dass eine verbesserte Veran-

ankerUng im Knochenzement möglich ist.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäss dadurch gelöst, dass die Haftnuten einen eine Hinterschneidung aufweisenden Querschnitt besitzen.
Die Vorteile der Erfindung liegen insbesondere darin, dass sich beim Einsetzen der Hüftgelenkspfanne in das weiche Zemsntbett der Knochenzement in die sich nach innen erweiternden Haftnuten hineindrückt und die hinterschnittenen Haftnuten ausfüllt. Selbst wenn sich bei der erfindungsgemässen Hüftgelenkspfanne nach längerer Betriebszeit die Verbindung an der Grenzschicht zwischen Knochenzement und Hüftgelehkspfanne lösen sollte, bleibt die Hüftgelenkspfanne den mit den hinterschnittenen Haftnuten formschlüssig mit den entsprechenden Haftwulsten des Knochenzements verbunden, wodurch eine grössere Verformung der Hüftgelenkspfanne und eine daraus resultierende Ablösung der Pfanne unterbleibt.
Besonders bevorzugt ist ausserdem am Pfannenrand ein nach aussen gerichteter Ringflansch vorgesehen, der einen umgebogenen, gegen das Becken gerichteten Randwulst besitzt. Dieser Randwulst verhindert, dass Knochenzement-Teilchen, welche durch die Pfannenbeanspruchung herausbrechen können, in die Innenfläche der Gelenkspfanne wandern und dort die glatte Gelenkfläche beschädigen, wodurch die Lebensdauer des Hüftgelenks erheblich reduziert würde.
Besonders bevorzugt ist der Ringflansch gegen die Ebene des Pfannenrandes radial auswärts - gegen das Becken hin - um etwa 5 bis 20° geneigt, und der Randwulst läuft nach oben spitz aus. Auf diese Weise be-

ansprucht der Randwulst wenig Raum und schützt gleichwohl wirkungsvoll gegen das Eindringen von Zementteilchen in die Gelenkfläche.
Besonders bevorzugt sind auf der Aussenfläche der Hüftgelenkspfanne noch mindestens teilweise Umlaufende Distanzstege angeordnet, die sicherstellen, dass die Aussenfläche del: Hüftgelenkspfanne allseitig einen vorgegebenen Mindestabstand vom Knochengewebe einnimmt, d.h., dass zwischen Acetabulum und der Hüftgelenkspfanne eine gleichmässig dicke Schicht aus Knochenzement gegeben ist, so dass die Hüftgelenkspfanne allseitig im Knochenzement liegt und befestigt ist.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind durch die Merkmale der Unteransprüche gekennzeichnet.
Im folgenden wird ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung anhand der Zeichnung näher erläutert.
Es zeigen:
Fig. 1 einen Querschnitt durch eine Hüftgelenkspfanne; und
Fig. 2 eine Aufsicht auf die Hüftgelenkspfanne gemäss Fig. 1.
In den Fig. 1 und 2 ist eine Hüftgelenkspfanne 2 im Querschnitt und in Aufsicht dargestellt. Die Hüftgelenkspfanne 2 besitzt eine etwa halbkugelförmige Aussenfläche 4 und eine halbkugelförmige Innenfläche 6, in welcher der natürliche oder künstliche Femur-
köpf lagert. Die Hüftgelenkspfänne 2 besteht aus einem geeigneten Künststoff, z.B. Polyäthylen.
In die Äussenfläche 4 sind konzentrische Haftnuten 5 eingearbeitet, deren Querschnitt eine Hinterschneidung 5a aufweist, d.h., deren Querschnitt zur Innenfläche 6 hin sich ausweitet. Zwischen einzelnen Haftnuten 5 sind nach aussen gerichtete umlaufende Distanzstege 7 angeordnet, deren Höhe die Mindestdicke des Knochenzementbettes festlegt.
Der umlaufende Pfannenrand 10 geht in einen nach aussen gerichteten Ringflansch 14 über, der einen aüfwärtsgerichteten Randwulst 16 besitzt. Der Rihgflansch 14 ist gegen die Ebene 12 des Pfannenrandes 10 radial nach aussen um etwa 5 bis 20° ansteigend ausgebildet.
Der Querschnitt des Randwulstes 16 läuft nach oben spitz aus. Gemäss Fig. 2 sind in der Äussenfläche 4 mehrere Quernuten 9 vorgesehen, die sich beim Einsetzen in das Knochenzementbett ebenfalls mit Knochenzement füllen und eine Rotation der Hüftgelenkspfänne besonders wirksam verhindern.

1. Künstliche Hüftgelenkspfanne zur Verankerung im Acetabulum des menschlichen Beckenknochens mit Hilfe eines aushärtenden Knochenzements, mit mindestens teilweise umlaufenden Haftnuten in der Aussenf lache,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Haftnuten (5) einen eine Hinterschneidung (5a) aufweisenden Querschnitt besitzen.
2. Künstliche Hüftgelenkspfanne nach Anspruch. 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass am Pfannenrand (10) ein nach aussen gerichteter Ringflansch (14) angeordnet ist, der einen aufwärtsgerichteten umlaufenden Randwulst (16) besitzt.

3. Künstliche Hüftgelenkspfanne nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Ringflansch (14) gegen die Ebene (12) des Pfannenrandes (10) radial auswärts etwa 5 bis 20° ansteigt.
4. Künstliche Hüftgelenkspfanne nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Querschnitt des Randwulstes (16) nach oben spitz ausläuft.
5. Künstliche Hüftgelenkspfanne nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, cadurch gekennzeichnet, dass auf der Aussenflache (4) mindestens teilweise umlaufende Distanzstege (7) angeordnet sind.
