Description
Method of making spinnerets. The invention relates to a Process for the production of spinnerets from thermoplastic masses with the help of piercing needles.
It is known per se by piercing wire, for example in soft glass to make holes or small openings in it. So is u. a. a way of working became known, according to. the thin wires that run into a sheet of glass are melted down, stabbed into soft glass in such a way that the wires are inserted in their lengthwise direction into the glass softened by a heating source will. It was not possible to exert considerable pressure when piercing the wires possible because the retaining plate in which the wires are anchored is made of glass, therefore during the work process it is also warm and soft and so a .zu has low technical strength. After pressing in, the wires were out pulled out the softened piece of glass. Here, however, there were evidently difficulties because in the description of that older way of working there is the rule, that you absolutely have to use wires for piercing that are not wetted by the glass be, d. H. a fusion of glass and metal in the boundary layer must be avoided will; in practice only precious metals, molybdenum or tungsten wires, be used.
The holes that can be achieved by this work are not entirely cylindrical and are uneven, which makes glass plates pierced in this way useless for many purposes. An attempt to produce spinnerets, for example, using this method of operation, for which holes are usually 50 to Zoo, but also 600 to 3000 $, fails because it is technically not possible to pull this large number of wires cleanly out of the glass. beautiful . -de m - dem. simple reasons because the glass cannot withstand such stress.
The invention avoids these difficulties. The new procedure consists in that the guide body of the needle in the of the outer mold surrounded nozzle holder body is introduced, whereupon the thermoplastic mass means a short hard sudden pressure is pressed in. As thermoplastic Glass, quartz glass and plastics come into consideration. To the piercing needle To protect against oxidation, it is advisable to use a neutral gas, preferably hydrogen, atmosphere to work. To guide the hole ends, a guide body is provided which is designed in this way is equipped that he after pulling the needles from the glass to the Needles, if necessary, strips off adhering glass and, in addition, as. Guide body ensures that the individual holes are perfectly parallel. This leadership body is advantageously made of steel,. and - the holes in it, which are called Serve guidance of the piercing needles are of such a diameter that the piercing needles .straight can be carried out here, but practically no leeway between the bore wall and needle remains.
The production of such guide bodies, which are also 500 to 2500 Bores or more in the technology, must have, can be made of a solid body or composite bodies or from a laminated core, the latter being Case only half a groove is pressed into each sheet metal part. Will this laminated core now arranged in such a way that groove comes on groove, this is how the cylindrical guides are created.
3 sind Zwischenstücke in diesem harten Körper. i i isst die Klemmrichtung. How to work according to the new working method should be explained using the drawings that show the ongoing work process. In Fig. I, the device used to carry out the new method is first shown schematically as a whole. FIG. 2 is the side elevation of this schematic representation, namely the piercing needles are shown in the working position. That. Example is chosen so that conical holes can also be punched. Fig. 3 and q. represent the ongoing work process. In this and in the following figures, it means the piercing needle, which in itself consists of any hard material. Platinum alloys that have a very high iridium or rhodium content or otherwise contain hardening additives have proven themselves. 2 is the clamp body for all needles. This has the task of keeping all needles in this position after the needles have been set to the same height. 3 are intermediate pieces in this hard body. ii eats the pinch direction. 4 is the wire guide body according to the invention with the guide openings for the piercing needles i. 5 is the area whereupon the needles are adjusted to the same height. This happens because the individual clamping plates 2 of the clamping body are unloaded so that all needles can play loosely in the guide body. If the needles stand vertically, the needles stand up. all at the same height. The surface 5 is removed after the setting of the piercing needles. Before that, the needles are held in their position by compressing the clamping body 2 in the direction of the arrows ii. 6 is the cavity into which the thermoplastic mass 7 is pressed at high speed under sudden pressure. 8 is the stamp which presses the thermoplastic mass, for example the glass, into the space 6. When the thermoplastic mass 7 is heated, it is on the stamp 8. 9 is a guide made of, for example, 'heat-resistant steel, which serves to guide the thermoplastic mass heated to about 600 to goo ° C so that it is pressed into where it is she should go. io is, for example, a nozzle holder for the perforated plate. This consists mainly of acid-resistant metal, but porcelain etc. can also be used.
If the softened glass or the thermoplastic mass is now suddenly pressed into the space 6, ice tends to fill every, even the smallest cavity. Should z. B. a perforated plate with 5o holes are made, so stand from the guide body q. small needles, which are ground conically in the example chosen. If the hole is to have a finished dimension of 0.1 mm, the needle is 0.1 to 0.3 mm thick for practical reasons. After the thermoplastic mass has now been pressed into the space 6, the sharpened wire bundle is pulled out with a jerk immediately after a gentle solidification in the glass / metal boundary layer. This happens because the holding body 2 and 3, which form a rigid system, so. be raised much that all the tips in the guide body q. disappear.
Fig.6 ist das fertig bearbeitete Hütc:ien. After pulling out, the case io is ejected from the machine and then looks like in Fig. 3. -To the pressed thermoplastic mass without tension to make this body is cooled in an oven. It is not absolutely necessary that metal or glass is used as a socket and that glass is pressed into this socket but it can also consist of the holder and the nozzle plate in one piece. In this case the glass to be pressed in is pressed and looks like in Fig. 5, but initially without a hole. This glass body is located in a holding body, which is not drawn. Now this holding body is heated to about 6o: to 9oo ° C. At this temperature the thermoplastic mass is soft. Then this body becomes moved upward, as the arrow in Fig. 2 shows. Here the needles are pressed in the Floor. this cone, it then looks like in Fig. 5 drawn. Fig. 6 is the finished hat. The shape of the one to be indented Holes can be any, but mostly conical. In Fig.; is a number example shapes shown. It should also be noted that the needle so that it has a sufficiently long service life that it must be protected from oxidation. With the lesser ones Hole diameters that are 0.05 to 0.2 mm are capable of low oxidation Change the circumference of the needle considerably. Because of this, this whole part is or space 6 and the bodies 7 and 8 in a hydrogen atmosphere or a neutral gas atmosphere to keep.
As already stated at the beginning, FIGS. 3 and 4 represent the continuous Work process, namely the way of working in which the soil comes from another The material consists of the ring g. FIGS. 5 and 6 represent the continuous operation when using a base made of the same material as the ring.
