Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Endlos farbbandkassette mit einer Bandspannvorrichtung für Schreib- und ähnliche Maschinen. Derzeitige Farbbandkassetten weisen in der Regel eine Feder, z. B. Blattfeder auf, die kurz vor dem Austritt des Farbbandes aus der Kassette durch Reibung eine Bremswirkung auf das Band ausübt. Dadurch soll erreicht werden, daß das Farbband gespannt bleibt, insbesondere im Bereich der Abdruckstelle. Tritt nun jedoch - aus welchen Gründen auch immer - an der Stelle des Farbbandes, welche sich außerhalb der Kassette befindet, eine Lose auf, dann kann dies zu Störungen während des Betriebes der Schreibmaschine oder eines Druckers führen. Insbesondere besteht die Gefahr, daß sich z. B. ein scheibenfö'rmiger Typenträger in dem nicht genügend gespannten Farbband verfängt. Hierzu eignet sich eine Anordnung nach dem kennzeichnenden Teil des Anspruches 1. Diese Anordnung ist sehr einfach im Aufbau, leicht zu montieren und weist eine sichere Funktionsweise auf. Wird die Anordnung nach den Merkmalen deu Anspruches 2 ausgebildet, so genügt eine einzige Blattfeder, um einerseits das Band zu bremsen und andererseits für die notwendige Bandspannung zu sorgen.
