Die Rastöffnungen 15 und Rastnasen 16 bilden Rastelemente 15/16, die sich an zwei gegenüberliegenden Verpackungs-Seitenflächen befinden. Wie Figur 2 zeigt, sind zwischen den Rastnasen 16 und den jeweils benachbarten Begrenzungskanten z.B. 17 Auflaufschrägen 18 vorgesehen. Die Boden- und Deckelteile 4, 5 bestehen aus einem Pappmaterial. Zum Verpacken des Elektroherdes 1 wird dieser mit den beiden Seitenteilen 2, 3 versehen und in den Bodenteil 4 eingesteckt, wobei gleichzeitig die Rastelemente 15/16 miteinander selbsttätig verrasten, indem die Randkanten der gegenüberliegenden Wannenränder und 14 auf den entsprechenden Auflaufschrägen 18 auflaufen, leicht ausgebogen werden und die Rastöffnungen 15 in den Rastnasen 16 verrasten. In ähnlicher Weise wird anschließend der Deckelteil 5 aufgesetzt,, wobei ebenfalls selbstätig die entsprechenden Rastelemente 15/16 verrasten. Auf diese Weise sind die einzelnen Teile der Vernakkung miteinander formschlüssig verbunden. Es kann nun diese Verpak-Dtungseinheit einer Anlage zugeführt werden, in der sie mit der Schrumpffolie 6 umhüllt wird. Hierzu wird die Verpackungseinheit aus der Lage gemäß Figur 1 um 90° gekippt auf einen der Seitenteile 2 oder 3. Hierbei verhindern die Rastelemente ein Auseinanderklaffen der Verpackungsteile, so daß der Transport der Verpackungseinheit zur vorgenannten Anlage und der eigentliche DmhüllungsVorgang problemlos erfolgen kann.
