Description
Method of device for the transmission of tones for the purpose of stereophony It is known for the purposes of stereophony, for sound transmission two or more separate channels from recording to playback; to use and the stereophonic effect, for example, through differences in intensity to evoke. This separate transmission assumes that in the individual channels If possible, the same transfer ratios are given; this condition is Difficult to achieve in the case of high-frequency transmission, especially without wire; if separate carrier waves can be used for each channel, as is obvious would be, there is namely the risk that these carrier waves as a result of atmospheric Disturbances or the like are influenced differently in such a way that the transmission the low frequency experiences a change which affects the stereophonic effect or even destroyed under some circumstances. The invention has the purpose that results from this to eliminate resulting defects; it essentially consists in the sending side to provide at least two separate receiving channels at the beginning, which on a single Main channel act, which in turn alternates the signals of the recording channels under Impingement transmits at short intervals, the signals on the Receive side the separate playback channel according to the number of recording channels are supplied, which are also in the .Rhythm of the application of the main channel to be influenced. At the beginning of the transmission path on the sending side Microphones may be provided or, in the case of appropriately recorded sounds, photocells or other devices suitable for sampling sounds. On the sending side is proposed according to the further invention, a at least two-channel transmission device for low frequency that was previously all-closed to the main channels to be provided with control means capable of controlling the vibrations of each channel in alternately at short intervals towards the main channel at a certain rhythm transfer. The alternating application can be done by grid control or Anode control of one or more tubes take place. It is special according to the invention advantageous to operate the main part wirelessly in a manner known per se, thereby can . all known processes and methods of wireless transmission can be applied. According to the invention, at least one two-channel transmission device connected to the main channel for low-frequency Visual vibrations provided with control means that are capable of coming from the main channel incoming signals in a certain short-term alternation in the same alternation the corresponding separate playback channels with devices for acoustic Transfer playback. The control means provided on the transmission side are running for the application of the main channel synchronously with the control means, which the Switch the main channel to the playback channels. This can be done with a special signal sign can be achieved that are also transmitted at high frequencies or from the network can be taken.
The invention and further details are based on Figs. I to .I explained for example. Fig.i shows the basic structure on the transmission and receiving side. The stereophonic recording takes place via the microphones 1-1l and M2 two-channel, several channels can of course also be provided. at In this two-channel recording, for example, the microphones are lying next to one another arranged and provided with directional characteristics so that in the connected to them Channels I and 1I differences in intensity arise, which are a measure of the sound distribution are in the sound scene to be recorded. 1) The sound streams are generated in the amplifiers T @ SI and 1'S2 amplified and then sent to a transmitter S. This station will be there by an additional control device AS, w = elche on the amplifier or directly acts on the transmitter, controlled in such a way that the sound currents in the two channels alternate reach the transmitter S in short time intervals. From the transmitter S then goes High-frequency single-catalyzed sound transmission, the high-frequency transmission gel in front of you by any of the known methods.
Teilung dieser Frequenz; die Synchronhaltung kann auch mittels einer Frequenz erfolgen, die aus dem üblichen Netz vorzugsweise durch Vervielfachung gewonnen ist.: Xuf the receiving side is the receiver I: from which the low-frequency sound streams reach channels 1 and 11 and are fed to the loudspeakers L1 and I_, via the amplifiers VE1 and VE 2 , with the help of a control device AE, which acts in the amplifiers or in the receiver in such a way that the alternating short-term impulses arrive in the associated channels. This control device AE must therefore run synchronously with the corresponding control device AS on the transmitting side, then the loudspeaker L1 receives the energy that the microphone Ml picks up and the loudspeaker L2 receives the energy from the microphone M2. The synchronous control for the impulse distribution can be done with or without wire. The frequency used to transmit the sound currents can be used for this, or a multiplication or division of this frequency; the synchronization can also take place by means of a frequency that is preferably obtained from the usual network by multiplication.
The loudspeakers are responsible for creating the stereophonic effect to be arranged accordingly and designed with directional effect. Instead of the individual Loudspeakers can also be provided in each case for loudspeaker groups.
Instead of wireless transmission using high frequency, here also vain single-channel transmission by means of wire between the sending and receiving side lie.
Further details of the transmission device can be found in the pictures.
In Fig.2, the sound currents of the microphone Ml enter the one channel I via the amplifier tube R1, the transformer 171, the tube R1 ', the winding W1 of the transmitter (`S in the tube R. The currents of the microphone 312 enter the second channel 11 in an analogous way via the amplifier tube R2, the transformer L'2, the tube R2 ', the winding f'2 of the transformer ÜS also into the tube R. In this carrot, however, the two microphone currents meet not randomly on top of each other, but in a very specific rhythm, in which the two channels 1 and 11 are switched alternately at short intervals to the tubes R. This is achieved with a tilting oscillation which alternately blocks or releases the tubes R1 'and R2' For this purpose, rapid tilting oscillation is generated in the tube Rh so that the rectifiers G1 and G alternately each output a positive additional voltage V blocks the pipe R, for example, but if an additional voltage of + 8 V is output from the rectifier (', then there is only a negative grid preload full - 2 V at point P2, so that the pipe R''works, i.e. 1i. that the voice alternating current coming from the transformer Ü2 is fed through the tube R2 ', the winding W ,, your transformer ÜS and thus the tube R. At this point in time there is no additional positive voltage at the rectifier G1, so that the pipe R1 'remains blocked. With the change in the breakover oscillation, however, the rectifier G1 receives an additional voltage of, for example, + 8 V, so that the pipe R1 'is now unlocked by reducing the grid bias voltage to -2 V at point P1. The alternating speech currents of channel I pass via the transmitter U1 to the transmitter CS and thus to the tailpipe R. With the tilting oscillation, the tubes R; and R2 controlled alternately, so that brief pulses reach the output tube R at the two channels. The output transformer ÜA is connected to this pipe and goes single-channel to the transmitter or on a wire line. If a single loudspeaker were to be switched on at this point, evenly continuous tones would be heard in the event that the microphones h1 and M "get the same sound impression. An identical or similar device could also be attached to the anode side, e.g. B. in that the breakover peak voltage is used to supply the anode of the tubes R1 and R2. The tubes R1 and R2 would only work as long as the anode voltage is present.
The oscillating circuit that controls the tubes R1 'and R2' can be in be designed in a manner known per se so that rectangular current surges are generated so that the additional grid voltages at the rectifier G1 or G2 appear abruptly, 'and if possible in the form of a rectangular curve. The flattening this rectangular curve or the decay can be caused by the capacitors Cl and C2, where the resistors W1 and 1i12 are parallel, can be regulated as required.
The frequency of the breakover oscillation is expedient . ig placed in such a way that it is not audible itself, so it is advantageously below or above the audible range.
abb. 3 shows the system shown in Fig. 2 in a simplified form. The sound currents of the microphones Ml and M2 reach the tubes R1 lizw. R, as before via the separate channels I lizw. 11. The tube R2 is blocked in the circuit shown, while the tube R1 receives the normal grid bias and is therefore not blocked. The two resistance grinders WS and WS are mechanically coupled to one another, so that the two tubes R1 and R2 are alternately locked and unlocked when they go back and forth. Via the transmitter (`S, pulses from the two channels alternately reach the pipe R and thus the output transmitter (` A. Pulse control results.
R2 (in Abb. 2), angeschlossen würden. As shown in Figure 4, the same principle can be used on the receiving side. The high-frequency receiver E can be designed in the usual way. The low frequency is fed to the tubes RE or RE2 via the transformer CE. These two tubes are locked and unlocked in the same schedule, i.e. synchronously, with the unlocking of the tubes on the transmitting side. Analogous to Fig. 3, resistance loops WS1 and WS are also provided here, which for this purpose change the grid bias in the same rhythm as in Fig. 3. In the position shown, the tube RE is locked. The alternating speech current is therefore only transmitted via the RE1 tube at this moment. From there it reaches the loudspeaker L1 via the transformer tlEl for playback. When the grinder is switched, the RE, tube is blocked and the RE 2 tube is opened. At that moment the alternating impulse will reach the loudspeaker L2 via the transformer ÜE2. In the alternating play of the pulses, which are fed back to the channel from which they originate on the receiving side, through the synchronous control on the receiving side, the two loudspeakers L1 and L2 produce a continuous acoustic reproduction similar to that which would result if these loudspeakers were used in the usual way directly to the channels of the microphones Ml and M2, z. B. to the tubes R1 or R2 (in Fig. 2) would be connected. The result is the effect of a two-channel separate sound transmission, although there is a single-channel forwarding in the transmission path in between. This single-channel forwarding is particularly useful for long-distance transmissions, e.g. B. in wireless transmission, the great advantage that any changes in the transmission rate practically affects both channels in the same way, so that an influence on the stereo scale is excluded.
Of course, tilting oscillation arrangements can also be used on the receiving side be provided to guide the channel impulses into the associated channels, as this principle is already described on the transmission side using Fig. 2. Essential is only that this control device for the alternating application of the common transmission channel runs synchronously on the sending and receiving side. You can either a special wave can be used or the high frequency wave; which the speech alternating voltage transmits.
