wirkt.Compressed air brake with two- and three-pressure control valve as well as with contact

To incorporate space-forming auxiliary control chamber into the brake system that a special
The space taken up by this chamber is eliminated. This object is achieved according to the invention
solved by such a design of a compressed air brake of the type mentioned,

works.
i zunächst ein Vorratsluftbehälter R angeschlossen.

schließt, oder umgekehrt.1n the drawing is the circuit structure of a T) air brake

Vorratsluftbehälter R her zur Fol--e.
A betätigt.
The mode of operation of the device described is as follows: When the brake is fully released, as shown in the figure, the pressure between the main air line I and the spaces on both sides of the piston i i is equal. The e6; bore is open and, depending on the size of its flow diameter, limits the sensitivity of the accelerator 7 to unwanted pressure fluctuations in the main air line. If the pressure in the latter line is now reduced by a corresponding 11 outlet in order to initiate braking, the resulting pressure gradient causes piston ii to jump (upwards in the drawing), with the result that the sensitivity bore e6 is immediately closed and valve 9 opens In order to accelerate the pressure reduction in the main air line and thus the braking, air can be injected from the L-line into the transfer chamber Ü while charging the same, the charging is possible in spite of the temporarily open vent valve 21 because the outflow is hindered by the throttle 59 . The rise in pressure in the (chamber causes the piston 23 to open the valve 29 by overcoming the force of the spring 25, which in turn results in the CA cylinder being charged with compressed air via the line 31 from the supply air tank R. The piston of the The CA cylinder now brings the brake pads to the wheel tires and is locked in the end position by means not shown after its task has been fulfilled takes effect and moves it downward against the force of spring 51, actuating double valve 53. This connects the valve 15 of the three-pressure valve to the charged chamber of the CA cylinder via lines 55 and 37 and at the same time blocks the control chamber f1 from room 15. When the connection is established: room 15 of the three-pressure valve - CA cylinder, the last one changes e N \ 'irlctrrrgsrn-liässig to an auxiliary control valve connected between the two-pressure and three-pressure valve. The opening of the valve 53 (lower seat) also acts as an unlocking for the three-pressure valve 17, in that its space 15, together with the CA contents, via the two-pressure valve 35, which opens under the overpressure compared to the reduced pressure in the L-line, into the K-1Catniner and can discharge from here through the unit brake bore 39 into the brake cylinder CF. The resulting pressure reduction in space 15, corresponding to the desired braking force, results in an upward movement of the piston assembly of the three-pressure valve 17 under the overpressure in the control chamber -A and thus a charging of the brake cylinder CF via line 41 from the supply air tank R. The increasing pressure in the CF cylinder closes the valve 21 and thus blocks the charged ('chamber. In the process described so far, which takes place very quickly in practice, there is an inevitability insofar as a pressure increase in the Transfer chamber C initiates the action of the CA cylinder, which initially acts as a feed cylinder, and only when a certain pressure is reached in the latter is it interconnected with space 15 of the three-pressure valve and thus this valve is unlocked in the sense of the call control of the feed line for the brake cylinder activity of the CA-cylinder as an auxiliary control chamber is, as ini fully released state of the brake, it is necessary that the CA-cylinder from the supply air reservoir R is separated, d. 11 that the valve 29 is closed. the latter valve is as described in Initiation of braking by the overpressure i acting on its piston 23 n the Ü-chamber open; The throttle bore 2_7 in the piston 23 is provided so that it now closes again at the correct point in time despite the continued existence of the U-chamber pressure, the transfer chamber is closed off from the outside air by the valve 21. Via this bore, the pressure gradient from one to the other side of the piston is equalized during a certain period of time, and when the pressure is equal, the valve 29 is automatically closed by the spring 25 and remains in the closed position until a new brake application is initiated Valve device 47 maintains its position connecting spaces 15 and CA during the individual braking stages, so that the CA cylinder acts as an auxiliary control chamber during the entire braking process 15 in the three-pressure valve and the CA cylinder are filled together, so that the latter also performs its function as an auxiliary control chamber during these operational splits. Only when the pressure in the brake cylinder CF is practically zero when the brake is almost completely released does the valve 21 open and vent the transfer chambers and about the throttled Line 33 also the CA cylinder. The disappearance of the pressure in the latter affects the valve device 47 in that the spring 51 again actuates the valve 53 in the sense of separating the space 15 filled to the maximum pressure of the main air line from the CA cylinder and its connection with the control chamber A. The CA cylinder, the unlocked piston of which has returned to its initial position, is now depressurized again and is available as a contact cylinder for the next brake application. All other parts of the system again assume the position drawn, corresponding to the complete solution.
