an Strickmaschinen.
Device for holding and cutting the rubber thread on knitting machines
The invention relates to a device for holding and cutting off the rubber thread
on knitting machines. In a known device of this type, the clamping device
separated from the scissors by a greater distance; both parts exercise their function
separately and must be controlled separately in the desired chronological order
which requires cumbersome mechanics. The cut that you can achieve
of the rubber thread leaves a very short rubber thread end protruding from the rubber guide tube
left that this is often not enough to be detected again by the circuit boards
to be able to. The high elasticity of the rubber thread plays a very important role here
Role. These disadvantages of the known device are thereby eliminated according to the invention
fixed that the hook leading the rubber thread to the cutting device on his
the rubber guide tube next to a terminal strip and on his
the other side is guided along a knife in the direction of its movement
is downstream of the terminal strip. Similar combined clamping and cutting devices
are already known per se for the textile threads on knitting machines. However lie
there the conditions are completely different insofar as they do not have the elasticity of a
Rubber thread, which is why it was previously believed, when it comes to rubber thread, the scissors for you
considerable distance from the terminal point
arrange to
have to, in order to achieve the one caused by the high elasticity of the rubber thread
Shortening the thread to achieve compensating reserve length. According to the invention
underlying knowledge, this is not only not necessary, but to that extent
harmful, when the control mechanism is so adversely affected that the out
The thread end protruding from the rubber guide tube is often insufficiently short. In contrast
enables the inventive use of the known combination of
Clamping and cutting device also on the rubber apparatus such a simplification
the control mechanism that even without maintaining such a distance for the formation
a reserve length of the thread a pivoting movement of the rubber guide tube when clamped
Thread can be achieved that the thread end remains long enough and with certainty
can be detected again by the boards. For this purpose, the hook according to the
Invention of the reciprocating control slide that controls the rubber guide tube
non-positive, e.g. B. via tabs and drivers against the force of a spring,
taken along when clamping and cutting and, on the other hand, leads when releasing the rubber thread
a movement independent of the control slide, in that the hook, e.g. B.
Via a guide rod, at the end of the driving movement in a fixed detent
locked at the end of the return movement of the control slide by an on this
attached control edge is released. Through this independence of the return movement
of the control slide from that of the hook it becomes possible to attach the rubber guide tube
swivel the jammed rubber thread far enough that a long enough thread end
Keeps hanging.

Der Träger i
Dieser Steuerschieber i i ist
her bewegt. On the upper lock jacket of the double cylinder circular knitting machine is on
the holder H of the apparatus carrier i attached. This carries the pivot axis 16 for
the rubber guide tube 14, which is connected to the pivot arm 17. The carrier i
also carries the pivot axis 20 for the two-armed control lever 18, one of which
Arm the pivot arm 17 and thus the rubber guide tube 14 against the force of a
Spring i9 controls. The other arm of the control lever 18 is operated by the handlebar 13,
which sits on the tab L2 of a spool ii. This control slide is i i
on a horizontal arm of the fixed support i by means of elongated holes 21
Screws 22 out and is back and forth through a movement organ acting at 23
moved here.
i i nach links zurückbewegt wird.
begrenzen. While in Figs. I and 2 the position is shown in which the control slide
is in its extreme left position, in which the rubber guide tube 14 in the
Area of the sinkers P of the knitting machine is working, Fig. 4 and 5 shows a
Right-shifted position of the control slide ii, in which the rubber guide tube 14
is already pivoted out, so that the rubber thread G is in the gripping area of a hook
24 is brought. In this position is located on the control slide ii
Tab L2 under the force of a tension spring 15 suspended on the carrier i on the driver
3 to a guide rod 2 to which the hook 24 is attached and which is in a
corresponding, expediently cylindrical guide within the horizontal part
of the carrier i is performed. As it moves to the right, the control slide takes
ii as a result, the guide rod 2 via its tab L2 and the driver 3
and thus the hook 24 to the right with the rubber thread G between its flattened
Page 24 'and a clamping piece io attached to the carrier i. Here
it cannot be damaged because the hook 24 is rounded towards the flattened side 24 '
expires. If you move further to the right, the other side 24 "closes
which the hook 24 breaks off with a sharp edge, in the area of one with a fluted cutting edge
provided, attached to the carrier i knife 9 and cuts the rubber thread G.
(see Fig. 6). The other end of the thread remains pinched. At the end of the movement to the right
A latching pin 4 fastened to a leaf spring 12 latches on the control slide ii
in a recess 25 of the guide rod 2 and holds it when the control slide
i i is moved back to the left. As a result, the elastic thread G remains jammed,
even if the control slide ii is now via tabs L2, link 13, control lever 18
and pivot arm 17 pivots the rubber guide tube 14 back into the area of the blanks.
Only at the end of this left-hand movement does another one attached to the control slide ii meet
Tab L1 behind the leaf spring 12 and lift it over suitable wedge surfaces,
so that the locking pin 4 comes out of the recess 25 of the guide rod 2 and this
under the force of a tension spring 5 attached to it, the other end of which on the carrier
i is suspended, is moved to the left, releasing the thread clamp,
up to the end of the guide rod 2 on a set screw 7 adjustable double nuts
8 against an edge of the carrier i (Fig. 3) and thus the area of movement
limit.
Now the movement game can repeat itself, with the first
the tab L1 releases the leaf spring 12 so that the locking pin 4 is ready again,
to fall into the recess 25.
