Er wirkt als Zusatzstoff zu dem Trockenlöschmittel verteilend und stäubend. Auch ermöglicht Bentonit, und zwar auf Grund seiner Fähigkeit, Wasser in großer Menge ohne Änderung seines Aggregatzustandes zu binden, daß das Natriumbicarbonat in fein gemahlenem Zustand als Löschmittel benutzt werden kann. Das Talkumpulver wirkt, wie bekannt, wasserabstoßend. Beide Zusatzstoffe gelangen in Form unfühlbarer Pulver zur Verwendung und bewirken, daß das Löschmittel gleichzeitig als Löschstauhbildnerund Löschgasbildner beim Löschen von Bränden dient.According to the invention. contains the fire extinguishing agent bentonite in place the well-known additives such as kaolin or clay.
