Description
Hand weaving device for weaving strips of leather, fabric or the like. The invention relates to a hand weaving device for weaving strips of leather, Fabric or the like, in which the stripes running in the direction of the chain on the one hand on fixed hooks and alternately on fixed hooks for shedding and pivotally arranged hooks are attached and in which the in The strips inserted into the compartment are held in place by rows of serrations.
The known hand weaving devices of this type can now be the Different lengths and widths of the fabric or the braided pieces only with difficulty and adjust awkwardness, because even if a bar in the longitudinal direction Is arranged displaceably, missing an adjustable one serving to hold the transverse strips Furnishings. It is true that there are slots or bores even when the handwraps are closed in the frame parts. intended to produce different sizes of fabric pieces, but a stepless adjustability is not possible with this arrangement, and one is bound to a predetermined number of tissue sizes.
The invention achieves the intended purpose by the arrangement that the rows of serrations used to hold the strips inserted in the compartment their mutual distance arranged adjustable in slots of the base plate and at their ends with the row of teeth opposite the shedding device are also adjustable. It is expedient in parallel to that of the specialist training institution opposite row of teeth a shorter, movable and adjustable row of teeth and then further rows are parallel to the longitudinal serrations Slidable and adjustable rows of longitudinal prongs provided. One For example, the device is shown in Fig. i in front view, in Fig. z illustrated in plan view and in Fig. 3 in side view: Fig. 4 shows the approximate shape of a braid or fabric, as it is for the uppers of shoes is needed.
On the base plate a there is a row of hooks b and b1, the number and spacing of which is determined by the largest width of the fabric to be produced and by the width of the material strips to be used. The hooks b are alternately fixed and the hooks b1 are mounted in a frame so that they can pivot together. Opposite this row of hooks, at a distance of the length of the fabric or braid to be produced, there is a serrated line c, the division and shape of which is also based on the width and type of the material strips. A row of teeth d and e is arranged vertically next to this on the left and right, which in terms of pitch and length corresponds to the width of the leather strips or the width of the fabric to be produced. During weaving, the longitudinal strips slit at one end are now all hooked into the fixed hooks b and pivotable hooks b1 and drawn into the serrations c, where they are readily held. Only then does the actual weaving work begin, with the movable holders b1 following the base plate a. to be pivoted so that the leather strips on the fixed hook b on the one hand and on the pivotable hook on the other hand form an angle with one another. A strip of O_uer leather is now drawn through this angle and hooked into the teeth of the rows of teeth d and e which are initially located in the row of teeth c; Here, too, the fastening takes place again without any additional work. The hooks bi are now swiveled upwards so that an angle is formed again, this time upwards. A transverse strip, again guided through this angle, is hooked into the next following teeth of the rows of teeth d and e and the movable hooks b1 are pivoted downwards towards the base plate a. This is done until all of the spikes of d and e are filled and the fabric is complete. The longitudinal strips are now cut along the hooks b and b1 and the rows of prongs c, d and e are removed from the base plate. Before the fabric is detached from the prongs, it is coated with glue on the edges of the underside and dried to prevent the braids from sliding apart.
When using such known devices, the rigid arrangement of the rows of teeth c, d and e to one another has proven to be disadvantageous in that to achieve different lengths and widths of the braided pieces, all three rows of teeth had to be replaced by other rows of teeth adapted to the size of the piece of fabric. Since the above-mentioned adhesive spread does take some time to dry out, in order to avoid loss of time, it was usually necessary, especially in the case of small braided pieces, to procure two sets of such serrations for each braided piece size.
This inconvenience is countered by the fact that the base plate a has two slots f and g parallel to the prongs b, in which the prong rows d and e provided with bolts and nuts j and k can be shifted and fixed to one another. The row of teeth c is adapted to the largest piece width achievable on the respective braiding device and is provided with a longitudinal slot la which allows the row of teeth c on the former by means of the two bolts l and in at every possible distance between the rows d and e to attach. It is still necessary to use rows of prongs d and e zii of different lengths for different lengths of the mesh, but the width of the mesh, from the largest achievable on the device to the smallest, can be achieved by simply adjusting the rows of prongs d and e «- earth. This not only saves the purchase of a large number of sets of serrations, but also ensures the best possible use of existing short strips of material by not simply using longer transverse strips than necessary, taking into account the existing sizes of rows of prongs c. The finished piece of braid is after loosening the fastening parts l and in . and after the rows of prongs e, d and c have now been folded down, the underside of the prongs is coated with glue and, after the latter has dried, detached from the rows of prongs.
The use of such pieces of braid as an upper part for shoes makes the production of pieces of braid in the shape according to Fig. 4 necessary. For this purpose, a further row of teeth st is known to be used, which is arranged between rows d and c, runs parallel to row o and whose distance B from row c and whose length A depends on the size of the so-called slip-in desired on the shoe , so according to the dimensions B and r1 of Fig. q .. The longitudinal stripes of the braids are then in this case on the. Section A led from hooks b and bl-only up to row of serrations rt. The transverse material strips from row d to row c, on the other hand, must be carried out over the entire length of d or e. In order to get along with a small number of rows of serrations in general and to avoid the leather and fabric losses that arise as a result of the fact that the transverse strips along the route B have to be subsequently cut out over a length from the route A, the following precautions are taken: a) The base plate a is provided with a slot o which runs perpendicular to the row of teeth b and which adjusts the row of teeth za in its distance from the row of teeth c and can be fixed by means of the screw bolt with nut p.
Es brauchen also längs der Strecke B nur verhältnismäßig kurze, von der Reihe d nach Reihe y bzw. von Reihe s nach Reihe e reichende O_uerleder oder Stoffstreifen verwendet zu werden, die leicht aus kleinen Abfällen gewonnen werden können.b) parallel to rows d and e and between. running along the rows n and c, there are two further rows of prongs r and s at a distance that is based on the route A in FIG. Thus, along the route B, only relatively short leather or fabric strips extending from row d to row y or from row s to row e need to be used, which can easily be obtained from small waste.
In the course of the braiding work, as a result of the inevitable shortening of the longitudinal belts, it is necessary to gradually reduce the distance between the prongs b and b1 and the prongs c. For this purpose, the two angles 2c and v are provided with a slot w parallel to the base plate a, in which the entire set of prongs of prongs b and b1 can be adjusted and locked by the two bolts with nuts x. In the immediate vicinity of this slot there are several bores y at two angles zi and v in a line parallel to the base plane at intervals of a few millimeters. At the beginning of the weaving, a wire pin is inserted at both angles through the hole furthest away from the row of teeth c, which serves as a stop for the holder z of the packet of teeth b and b1. Gradually, the pins are inserted into the holes y further to the front, thus creating a possibility of evenly reducing the distance between the rows of prongs b and c. After loosening. With the nuts _x on the bottom, the entire set of prongs can be removed from b and b1 and another one can be inserted, the number of prongs and the distance between the prongs being suitable for a different width, leather or fabric strips.
