Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Gerät zur wahlweisen Herstellung von Lichtpausen
oder Reflexkopien unter Benutzung einer Quecksilberhochdruckröhre. Bei bekannten
Kopiergeräten dieser Art, die mit Glühlampen betrieben werden, wird die Helligkeit
der Lampen durch Einschalten eines Widerstandes verändert. Hierdurch wird aber nicht
nur die Helligkeit der Strahlung, sondern zugleich auch die photographischwirksameStrahlungherabgesetzt.
Um diesen Nachteil zu vermeiden, kann nach der Erfindung die Quecksilberhochdruckröhre
z. B. durch Einschalten eines zusätzlichen Widerstandes auch als Niederdruckröhre
betrieben werden, so daB die Helligkeit auf weniger als den zehnten Teil herabgesetzt
ist. Es ist vorteilhaft, die Umschaltung mittels eines Schalters vorzunehmen, der
gleichzeitig zum Ein- und Ausschalten der Quecksilberlampe dient. Durch das Einschalten
eines zusätzlichen Widerstandes wird bei einer Quecksilberhochdrucklampe nicht einfach
die Klemmenspannung und damit die Lichtstärke herabgesetzt. Eine Erhöhung des Vorschaltwiderstandes
bei einer Quecksilberhochdrucklampe führt vielmehr eine grundlegende Veränderung
der Entladungsbedingungen herbei. Die Entladung ist dann nicht mehr ein Hochdruckbogen,
sondern eine Niederdruckentladung, d. h. ein Niederdruckbogen, unter Umständen sogar
eine Niederdruckglimmentladung. In beiden Fällen wird aber in vorteilhafter Weise
eine hohe Ausbeute an photographisch wirksamer Strahlung erzielt.Device for the production of blueprints or reflex copies
