Abstract
The energy absorber (1) is interposed between the driving cab (2) and a bodywork (3). It has a parallelepiped shape, the largest face of which is located in a plane formed by the rear face (2A) of the driving cab and the front face (3A) of the bodywork. There are first (4) and second (5) plane facing rings not in contact. Pivots (6) integral with the upper part of the rings define a radial pivoting axis (X-X) in the top part of the driving cab. A shock absorber (9) is located in the lower part of the rings such that absorption occurs in the cab longitudinal direction. The cab chassis (10) is fixed to the lower part of the plane rings.
