Electric steam cooker The invention relates to an electric steam cooker
Steam kettle in which the cooking vessel is surrounded by a special heating chamber
is, in the bottom of which there is a water chamber provided with electrodes, which
the latter through; a special pipe with one above the highest water level
located second chamber is in communication, into which the electrolyte as it rises
Vapor pressure is pressed, whereby the electrodes more or less completely from the electrolyte
are exposed and thus an automatic regulation of the power supply takes place.
In a known manner, this particular receiving chamber is designed so that in the
Steam space of the heating jacket has a certain overpressure of 0.2 to 0.2 atm. to form
can. For this purpose, in a known embodiment, the receiving chamber is complete
; closed and provided with a safety valve, while with another
Execution of the electrolyte in a riser with the one provided at the end of the same
Receiving chamber, is pressed, the length of which is dimensioned; that a sufficiently high
Pressure column comes about. Safety valves have the disadvantage that the same
only respond to overpressure, but not to underpressure and the feedback accordingly
of the electrolyte from the receiving chamber into the electrode chamber does not happen automatically
takes place and special facilities are provided for ventilation of the receiving chamber
must be. The ventilation can be done in a known manner; also by lifting the safety valve
of hand successes. After all, there is a risk that at the beginning of the new
The required manual is forgotten during the cooking process and the cooking process
is initiated only imperfectly and with considerable delay. The other
known device has the disadvantage that relatively high lines to the formation
a pressure column must be used.
starrem Druckregler, b,eispielsw!eise Sicherheitsventilen, sicheinstellende Expansion
The invention consists in that a siphon,
which is filled with mercury or another specifically heavy liquid
is connected, the free leg of which is in communication with the outside air
and that between the level of the liquid contained in the other leg of the siphon
and an air cushion connected to the level of the electrolyte in the receiving chamber
is. As a result of the liquid column that is movable to both sides in the siphon
responding to pressure from both sides @elastic and in particular can
when the steam pressure is overflowing, pressure equalization takes place without the opening when the
rigid pressure regulator, b, e.g. safety valves, self-adjusting expansion
one
Enters air buffer, whereby the pressure drop over - the desired level goes beyond.
The subject of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing
Embodiment shown.
An inner kettle a serving to receive the food is under formation
a steam room b surrounded by a heating jacket. Located below the cooking vessel
there is a space to accommodate an electro, -lyte, which washes around electrodes c. Of the
Electrode chamber is through a line with a chamber d in connection, which
higher than the electrode compartment. At the upper part of the kaxnmer d there is an open one
S-. Or V-shaped pipe f connected, which when filling with a liquid,
expediently mercury, acts as a siphon. The height of the Siph Bon loop and its
Pipe diameter is like this. chosen that the respective leg height one. Print of

a und dessen Inhalt, z.
entspricht. The mode of operation is as follows: When the electrodes are energized
the steam is generated in steam space b. The steam; gives its heat to the container
a and its content, e.g. B. Food, from; condenses and falls again as water
return to chamber e. When the contents of vessel a are heated to about 82 ° C,
If not enough heat is extracted from the steam, the condensation is reduced
and pressure builds up in the steam space b. The steam then presses the electrolyte
in the receiving vessel d: In this receiving chamber d is through the inflowing
Electrolyte compresses the air present in the chamber until the in. to the
Siphon f standing mercury column is pressurized and the air out of the opening
. escapes. However, the mercury column immediately falls back and thus holds
that in the receiving chamber d, the electrode chamber c and. in front of the steam room b
Vapor pressure always as long as the balance as the vapor pressure counterbalances the mercury column
is equivalent to.
