Description
Method of Operating Absorption Chillers The invention relates to a method and apparatus for operating with pressure equalizing Gas absorption chillers. Its purpose is to improve such systems, especially in the case of air-cooled apparatus, essentially with the fact that they lower evaporator temperatures than before.
It has already been proposed to use the condensate in absorption refrigerators to bring it into open contact with resting auxiliary gas and thereby a certain degree of hypothermia to achieve the condensate. According to the invention, the supercooling of the condensate significantly improved by having auxiliary gas circulating between the evaporator and absorber before it re-enters the absorber to sweep over from the condenser of the apparatus brings liquid refrigerant running to the evaporator. This will it practically makes it possible to lower the temperature of the condensate so much achieve that even with air-cooled devices on biting days they are very low Let evaporator temperatures reach.
The invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings are described, with further characterizing features of the invention will.
B. eine elektrische Heizpatrone i i, beheizt werden. In Fig. I an absorption chiller is shown, which accordingly the invention works. Fig. 2 shows part of a refrigeration apparatus in another Embodiment. In Fig. I, io denotes the stove with, for example Water as an absorbent, ammonia as a refrigerant and hydrogen as a pressure equalizing agent Gas working refrigerator. The cooker can be heated by any Kind, e.g. B. an electric heating cartridge i i, be heated. Developed in the cooker Gases first pass to a separator 12 for entrained absorbent vapors, which can be cooled by air, water or liquefied refrigerant. The cleaned ones Refrigerant vapors pass on to a condenser 13, which can also be used in any Way can be chilled. From here, the liquefied refrigerant enters a Container 1q., From which it is via a line 15 to the evaporator 16 of the apparatus runs. The evaporator 16 is expediently known in its interior Provided distribution structures that direct the generated cold to the evaporator wall .. The evaporator body can be equipped with a heat sink or other means, to transfer the generated cold to the object to be cooled. That through the Line 15 in the evaporator 16 passing liquid refrigerant evaporates in the presence of the auxiliary gas entering the evaporator through a line 17. That is in The gas mixture forming the evaporator sinks in the evaporator and passes through the nozzle i, into a line i9 which is above the level of the refrigerant condensate in the container 14th flows out. After its exit from line i9, that which has been submitted to the evaporator flows Refrigerant in countercurrent to the condensate in the container 14 across this, wherein the gas mixture becomes even more saturated and the liquid condensate is severely subcooled, so that it enters the evaporator at a very low temperature. That even further saturated gas mixture. flows through a line 2o from the container 14 and occurs back into the connection piece 18. Between the exit point of the line ig and the entry point the line 2o is expediently a small Ab = provided with a through hole Closure plate 21 used, the _ through-hole serves to remove non-evaporated amounts of liquid to drain from the evaporator. The confluence of the line is useful 2o provided with a small funnel or a drainage plate 23 in the connection piece i8. The rich gas mixture enters the interior from the lower part of the nozzle 18 23 of a gas temperature changer of known type and from here by a Line 24 in the lower part of the absorber 25 cooled in any way; which the gas mixture flows through in the direction from bottom to top. Here is the refrigerant from the gas mixture by coming from the cooker from line 26, Absorbent solution flowing down through distribution structures of a known type is washed out, and the purified auxiliary gas passes via line 27, the outer parts 28 of the gas temperature changer and line 17 back to the evaporator.
The absorption solution submitted to the absorber goes through a pipe 29, the temperature changer 30, a pump spiral surrounding the heating device 31 and an adjoining thermosiphon riser pipe 32 back to the cooker, its Level is kept so high that the degassed solution in the cooker from the lower part of the cooker can run via line 26 and the temperature changer 30 to the upper absorber part.
In Fig. 2, a further embodiment is shown, and the same reference numerals have the same meanings. Fig. 2 differs from Fig. I essentially in that the vessel 14 of Fig. I is connected to the temperature changer 23, 28 to a certain extent to form a unit. This means that the temperature changer is arranged above the evaporator, since the liquid refrigerant should flow through it. From not shown condenser through a conduit 4o liquid refrigerant flows into the interior 23 of the gas temperature changer, flows at the bottom thereof along and again falls through an opening formed as an overflow conduit 1 5 in the interior of the evaporator 16 inside. Auxiliary gas coming from the gas temperature changer again enters the evaporator through a line 17, in the presence of which the evaporation takes place. From the lower part of the evaporator the line i9 leads the gas mixture directly to the interior 23 of the gas temperature changer, so that here too the gas mixture coming from the evaporator sweeps over the liquefied refrigerant contained in the temperature changer and subcooled it. Line 24 leads the enriched gas mixture back to the lower part of absorber 25, in which the refrigerant is washed out by solution coming from line 26 from the cooker, whereupon the auxiliary gas returns through line 27 -, the outer temperature changer part 28 and line 17 to the evaporator. In order to remove non-evaporated amounts of liquid from the evaporator, a drainage pipe 41 is provided, which is expediently provided with a [J-loop and ends below the absorber level or at its height.
The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiments limited, but can be used in all absorption refrigerators that work with pressure-equalizing gas Find use.
