Circuit breaker with overcurrent release and automatic reclosing device are known. It has also been suggested to turn it back on several times To prevent existing overcurrent, use a monitoring device that activates the reclosing device only once. As a monitoring device serves here a relatively slow running drive motor, and it can be a Such an aid, which takes up a certain amount of space, only with larger switches Power can be used, but not for switches with lower power, for contactors ο ·, the like, which in and of themselves take up a small space. The invention shows this an extremely simple solution, whereby the one-time restart after tripping is done by a single heat relay. The previously known arrangements of this type have the disadvantage that a single heat relay cannot be switched on again is, rather an auxiliary time relay is required, which causes the final shutdown. According to the invention, by the same thermal relay that the reclosing caused, also the final shutdown is determined by the response of the overcurrent release Switching element controlled, which opens the circuit of the contactor closing coil and the control contact an auxiliary relay closes. By closing the control contact of the auxiliary relay a heat relay is fed which, after a certain time, briefly activates the coil of the auxiliary relay switches on and thus causes the switch to be switched on again. Is the overload still available, the overcurrent relays respond again and cause things switching on the heat relay again. Since the latter did not have the opportunity to cool off, it remains in its address position and prevents it from being switched on again.
In the figure, the invention is illustrated in more detail, α is the main switch, which is held in the switched-on position by the contactor coil &, c are the overcurrent electromagnets whose armature acts on a switching element d , which keeps contact e closed in the normal switching position , f is a contact that is closed by the switching element ii when the overcurrent electromagnets respond , g is a bimetallic strip that actuates a mercury switching contact h and thereby causes the brief excitation of an auxiliary coil i , which returns the switching element d to its original position.

zieht, k isf eine federnde Rasteneinrichtung, die das thermische Relais g, h in den beiden Endstellungen festhält.pulls, k isf a resilient detent device that holds the thermal relay g, h in the two end positions.
If the switch α is closed and an overcurrent occurs, the electromagnets respond and their armatures open the contact e, while they close the contact /. The mechanical control of the switching element d can also be replaced by an electrical one. When the contact e is opened, the main switch α falls out, since the contactor coil & is de-energized. By closing the contact f , the bimetallic strip g is switched into the circuit. It bends and after a certain time brings the mercury switching contact h into the other position. In this case, a contact is briefly closed, which supplies current to the coil i. This actuates the switching element ei, so that the contact is closed and the contact / is opened. The main switch α is inserted via the contacts. If there is still excess current, the electromagnets speak c ζήτα. on the second time, the contacts open again and thus the main switch a, while they close the / contact. As a result, the bimetal g is further heated. During this time, however, the bimetal did not have enough time to cool down, the relay g, h remained in the position mentioned; a repeated brief contact through the interrupter h is therefore no longer possible. If, however, there is no longer an overcurrent, so the electromagnets c do not respond when the switch α is closed, the bimetal g has time to cool down and return the interrupter h to its original position.
