Description
The invention relates to a novel construction for photoelectric cells, which is characterized by particularly favorable integration into technical equipment and particularly in reflection scanning, allows maximum light output. The photoelectric cells according to the invention are characterized in that the usual, provided for the melting of the feeds, over the cell wall protruding glass attachments on the side of the cell facing away from the light irradiation are arranged to be seen from the direction of light irradiation through the Cell bodies appear covered and that the anode feed is the photoelectric layer penetrates in the direction of the light irradiation.
Es sind zwar bereits Zellen bekannt, beiThere are already known cells at
Dieses Durchstoßen erfolgte dabei jedoch stets senkrecht zur Lichteinstrahlung, so daß die Zellen infolge der hierfür benötigten seitlichen Glasansätze unhandlich und für den Einbau in technische Geräte wenig geeignet wurden.which the light-sensitive layer in the manner of an absolutely black body with the exception of the window provided for the entry of light, the entire inner wall of the cell vessel covered and is therefore pierced by the anode at any point. However, this piercing was always carried out vertically for light irradiation, so that the cells as a result of the lateral glass attachments required for this unwieldy and unsuitable for installation in technical devices.
The cell according to the invention, however, can be easily installed even in narrow channels or through relatively small holes right up to the photo to be monitored Push the object.
It has also already been proposed to arrange the fuses of a photoelectric cell so that they the Direction of irradiation are turned away. However, only small ones came inside the cell photosensitive metal plates for use which do not pierce from the anode and consequently only a small part of the radiation angle detected by the cell exploited photoelectrically. The new cell, on the other hand, uses practically all of the radiation captured by the cell vessel also photoelectrically off.
For manufacturing reasons, it is of course most useful if you have the photoelectric layer can be pierced centrally by the anode lead. Such embodiments show z. B. the below described in more detail Fig. 1, 2 and 4. The use However, such cells is only useful when the cell is practically over their entire surface can be illuminated evenly, d. H. so z. B. at Arrangement in parallel light or with certain forms of reflection scanning. Around to be able to use the cell even in cases where in the middle of the ruled by it If there is a concentration of the irradiated light in the field, it is the case with cells proven to be useful according to the invention,
Ausf ührungsf or'men dieser Art sind aus den unten näher beschriebenen Abb. 3, 5 und 6 zu entnehmen.to arrange the positive power supply serving as the carrier of the anode inside the cell in such a way that that it laterally penetrates the photoelectric layer. Execution forms of these Art can be found in Figs. 3, 5 and 6, which are described in more detail below.
Abb. Fig. Ι shows schematically in section an embodiment of the cell according to the invention, in the inside of the cell vessel, not designated, a reticulated anode ι the photoelectric applied to a metal base 2 by evaporation Facing layer. The light is irradiated in the direction shown on the left Arrows. 3 are the power leads, 4 is the lead wire carrying the anode, which is arranged free-standing within the tubular glass attachment 5 and to increase is surrounded by insulation and rigidity to a certain extent by the glass jacket 6. 7 is the The pinch base used to introduce the current into which the cathode 2 serving support and power supply wires S are embedded.
If the photoelectrically effective layer is poured into instead of by evaporation When the cell is introduced, the cell shape shown in Fig. 1 cannot always be used. In such cases, proper insulation is obtained by using the aforementioned tubular extension 5, which surrounds the free-standing anode lead, so far, that it pierces the photoelectric layer. An embodiment of this type is shown in Fig. 2. The feed 2 for Anode i * is free within the tube socket 5, and this tube socket is at 9 through the poured photoelectric layer 2 passed through. Sufficient for the aforementioned large distance between the anodic lead 4 and the inevitable cathodic To ensure precipitation on the pipe socket 9, this is expanded like a funnel. Above him a recess is provided in the anodic network 1, and the Brackets of this network are guided in an arc at 10. The electrical fields arising at the implementation point 9 can consequently never become stronger than the electric field between the actually effective photoelectric layer surface 2 and the anodic network surface 1. Precipitations of the photoelectrically active metal, which is inserted into the pipe socket S during manufacture can penetrate without the risk of melting the photoelectrically effective Layer 2 can be easily removed by heating the pipe socket S, so that then highest Isolation between the electrodes is guaranteed.
Abb. 3 zeigt eine im übrigen der Abb. 2 analoge Ausführungsform der Zelle nach der Erfindung, bei der jedoch die anodische Zuführung 4 (und das sie umgebende Glasrohr 5) die lichtelektrisch wirksame Schicht seitlich durchstößt.FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the cell according to FIG. 2 which is otherwise analogous to FIG Invention, in which, however, the anodic feed 4 (and the glass tube 5 surrounding it) laterally penetrates the photoelectrically effective layer.
The passage of the anodic feed through the photoelectrically effective Layer 2 makes the series production of cells in which the layer is on a carrier is applied, insofar as difficulties as the individual parts already must be plugged into each other before the feeds are melted and only adjusted during the meltdown can. So you have to rely on trained glassblowing work. In the cells after the Invention, these manual difficulties are eliminated by having the aforementioned Carrier 2 is provided with an incision 11 through which the anodic feed 4 can be pushed from the side during manufacture. The only loss of photoelectrically effective area is small amount. The support of the photoelectric layer 2 is given a shape as shown in Fig. 4 or 5 or similar. As can be seen from Fig. 6, one can with such a training of the cathodic carrier 2 by briefly pressing from the left (see arrow) the single normally mounted and e.g. spot welded electrode surfaces in bring the right position to each other. The production becomes so easy in this way, that it can easily be carried out exactly by unskilled workers.
