Description
Self-propelled rotary plow with a driven, dome-shaped, toothed plow Cutting disc The invention relates to a self-propelled rotary plow with a powered one Dome-shaped, toothed cutting disc. It aims, through appropriate position the axis of the cutting disk and by appropriate drive the same one to produce work similar to normal plowing with relatively little effort. The rotary plow according to the invention is characterized in that the axis of the Cutting disc not just from the inside out, as is the case now and then has been proposed, but also slopes upwards from the inside out. Included is appropriate the cutting speed of the cutting disc in relation to The circumferential speed of the driving wheels of the plow was chosen to be so high (e.g. 3.5: i to 4th: i with a 45 'incline of the cutting disc axis from the inside to the outside in front) that the cuts created by the teeth of the cutting disc are almost identical Line up without a gap and yet without any significant overlap. The cutting work takes place with as little effort as possible to drive the cutting disc, thus also reducing the overall weight and cost of the machine goes in hand. When the cutting disc is 1/3 or 1/2 of its diameter Has penetrated the ground, their prongs cut across the width of the work path. from the top front inside to the bottom back outside, a series of ribbon-shaped cuts or ribbons that are. Line up close together with the smallest possible distance between the leading edge of one tape and the trailing edge of the next tape, without overlap each other to a significant or vertical extent. In this way the will be detached and the strips of earth to be turned are first undercut and detached, while the further Rotation of the cutting parts from the bottom to the outside, back top and the one-sided friction the cutting disc and its favorable hollow shape. even turning the detached Cause of the earth strip.
Thanks to this way of working, a strip of earth becomes very similar to replaced with an ordinary plow and turned, with the difference, however, that its cross-section will not be rectangular, but somewhat rounded and inclined and with the further advantage that the earth is not compressed, as is the case with the usual ploughshare happens, but on the contrary cut smoothly and without Compression tends to be pulled and rotated at the same time.
The right ratio between the peripheral speed of the drive wheels and cutting speed of the cutting disc depends on the shape of the same, the Number of points on the circumference of the. Disc, its radial height and the angle the cutting disk shaft with respect to the direction of travel.
Understandably, one must also determine the radial height of the cutting teeth choose the disc and its distance from each other large enough to prevent clogging of the Avoid tooth gaps caused by soil, manure straw, grass, etc.
The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention along with changes to the shape of the cutting disc.
Fig. I is a side view and Fig. Z is a plan view of the whole the machine; Fig. 3 shows a detail; Figs. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 represent different ones other forms of cutting disc.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the cutting tool consists of a circumferential, hollow, dome-shaped disk a, which is inclined to the direction of travel for covering a work path of width x. On the circumference, the disk a is provided with, for example, six prongs or cutting teeth a1 (the number of which is not limited, however). The disk a sits at the outer end of an axis b, which is coupled to the drive shaft c at the inner end and is inclined both from the inside to the outside forwards (Fig. A) and from the inside to the outside upwards (Fig. 3) according to the described work purpose . While the magnitude of the former axis inclination may be about 30 ° to 50 °, it is less for the upward inclination, perhaps about 10 ° to 20 °. The motor d drives the countershaft f by means of the gear drive e, from which the drive axle la of the vehicle is driven by the chain drive g and the tool drive shaft c is driven by the chain drive i. The disk a @ is driven at a speed which is in such a certain ratio to the peripheral speed of the drive wheels of the vehicle that the cutting teeth all receive a peripheral speed which is a suitable multiple of the driving speed of the vehicle. The consequence of this is that with the described inclination of the axis b, the wheel-like forward motion across the width of the working path with its cutting teeth a1 the strip of earth to be detached and turned by a rapid succession of cycloidal, helical, band-shaped cuts from the top front inside undercuts, arching downwards, backwards and outwards, pulling, turning and throwing. In this way, the strip of earth is immediately detached from the cutting tool and turned. These rapid, oblique, crooked cuts from front to back and the uplift of the earth create a reaction that tends to push the cutting disc and therefore the vehicle towards the edge of the furrow and forward. The lateral reaction against the furrow edge is taken up by the sliding shoe k. This sliding shoe could be replaced by an inclined support wheel, as is usual with multi-blade plows. The consequence of the forward reaction is a certain propulsion of the vehicle or at least a contribution of the plowing cutting tool to pushing the vehicle forward. The vehicle is steered in a manner known per se by means of a double grip cage. If necessary, one of the vehicle drive wheels could run in the previous furrow as in the conventional plow, which is not shown in the drawing.
The cutting parts of the tool can be of any shape, if only the cutting edges lying in the disc surface are more or less radially directed are to use the engine torque for cutting the earth directly, and if only the tool approximates the basic shape in the sense of a solid of revolution a hollow, thin-walled dome piece known per se or a thin-walled one has flat hollow cone to favor the orderly turning of the strip of soil.
For example, Fig. Q shows. a kind of star shape, in which the end parts of the prong-like star arms form the cutting prongs. Fig. 5 shows a similar star shape, but in which the star arms have the opposite curvature exhibit. Fig. 6 shows a cross section through this star shape, which for this Case should make the dome shape understandable and show that this tool actually represents nothing more than a jagged dome or dome. Fig 7 8 and 8 show a pronounced flat cone shape with cutting teeth protruding from the edge. The cutting teeth according to Fig. 7 have a sawtooth-like shape, evas depending on the soil conditions have the disadvantage of clogging the gaps between the teeth by grass or straws, etc. can. The cutting edges Z of the teeth according to Fig. 8, on the other hand, are gently curved backwards, thereby preventing that constipation. Figure 9 shows a cross section through the Tool according to Fig.8.
Understandably, the machine could have several cutting disks have described type on a common axis or on separate axes to to form several furrows at the same time.
