Description

Process for the manufacture of artificial textile products of matte Shine It has been shown to be desirable, the hard one peculiar to viscose silk To reduce the shine by suitable means and turn it into a matt, natural silk to create a similar shine.

Attempts have been made to achieve this in various ways, z. B. by adding petroleum or soft paraffin to viscose; also fats and Oils, hydrocarbons and similar compounds are related for the same purpose been. It has also been proposed to emulsify substances in the viscose, which Do not release gas during thread production, but only during the drying process evaporate, leaving a thread of dull sheen. The procedure mentioned has in common that they deal with chemical substances that occur during the spinning process get into no substantial reaction with the spinning bath and then that later either largely retained in the threads or removed from them by evaporation in order to obtain an artificial silk of reduced luster.

Your present procedure is based on the idea that the Viscose emulsified agents more or less completely during spinning to detach the artificial textile products. This happens through education a possibly water-soluble compound during the spinning process, which dissolves in the excess spinning acid and this process creates structures leaves, which can have a matt, silk-like sheen after completion.

In the process, the more insoluble the bases are, the more effective they are are in water. Bases of considerable water solubility are relatively ineffective. So is z. B. aniline (cf. French patent specification 637 309) because of its already too high solubility in water with small amounts added without sufficient effect.

More or less water-insoluble ones are used for emulsification in the viscose Bases such as B. quinoline, Äthvlanilin, Dimethy lanilin, toluidine, etc., but not only the pure organic bases can be used, but also mixtures, such as z. B. crude fractions, etc. The organic bases are added to a suitable one Place of manufacture of the viscose. So you can z. B. to carbon disulfide add or introduce into the cellulose xanthate or it with the viscose -vor mix your spinning. It is for a good and even distribution of the additive to take care of it by using appropriate means, including can also promote emulsification : Means to be used. The amount of addition depends on the grade in which you want to reduce the gloss of the product. For coagulation of the viscose solution the spinning baths commonly used in technology can be used. The finer ones Drops of organic bases emulsified in the viscose are released upon entering the acidic spinning bath converted into more or less water-soluble compounds, and these are removed by the large excess of the spinning bath. It finds as it were, an etching of the thread takes place during spinning. After the textile products have been post-treated in the usual way, one obtains products with a gloss has been degraded to the desired extent.

The following examples illustrate the process. The additional amounts the organic bases can be varied within wide limits: i. The viscose, which is produced according to one of the usual methods, are in a suitable place about 1.5% quinoline was added to the preparation.

The viscose, which is produced by conventional methods, is retained Have an addition of i to 2 ° f "technical ethylaniline. After completion the threads have a significantly lower shine than ordinary rayon made of rayon.
