The 'invention relates to a method for producing such connecting caps
for pipelines where the lowest possible height is important. Such
Caps cast from one piece are known; but these are for high pressures and
Temperatures are difficult to produce tightly and reliably and are due to the considerable
Reject expensive. In contrast, the present invention solves the problem of such
Manufacture caps of low overall height from rolled tubes.
This is done in such a way that a short cylindrical piece of pipe on the open front sides
is closed by first approximating the shape at the open ends
brought a cone and then flattened by exerting an axial pressure
is, whereupon it is provided with a flat side perpendicular to the end faces
in which holes are made for connecting the pipe strings.
A connection cap for pipelines made according to the method according to the invention
is made, is suitable not only for those cases where the space to accommodate
the connection cap and associated fasteners is limited, e.g. B. for the connection of the smoke
or reverse chamber of steam boilers lying ends of superheater tubes or the like,
but due to its special shape and method of manufacture, it is also very high
Press to use under guarantee of permanent operational safety.
The method according to the invention is to be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing
will.
Das Ausgangswerkstück ist in Fig. ia und
Fig. ib im Längsschnitt und Querschnitt dargestellt.
Fig. 2a
The initial workpiece is shown in Fig. Ia and
Fig. Ib shown in longitudinal section and cross section. It's a short, cylindrical piece of pipe
14 of the respective purpose corresponding diameter. In the
The first stage of the process is the two open ends 1 and 2 of the pipe section
closed, in such a way that these ends have an approximately conical shape (see. Fig. 2a
and 2b). Then these ends are pushed in the direction of the
Longitudinal axis of the pipe section flattened, as can be seen from Fig. 3a. The pipe section
so now has the shape of a cylinder with flat ends. Now the pipe section is pressed flat on one side (Fig. 4a
and 4b), and the flat side 3 is provided with holes 4 and 5 (Fig. 5 a and 5b), the
Have conical or spherical seat surfaces 6. These holes are used for connection
of the ends 9_ of the tubes 7 and 8 (Fig. 6a and 6b). The ends 9 are spherical,
to adapt to the seat surfaces 6 of the connection cap. The pipe ends are attached to the connection cap
by brackets 10 and 12 and bolts 11 with nuts 13 through which the
Brackets 10 and 12 are pulled against each other. The bracket 12 lies against the curve
15 of the connection cap, and the bracket 10 engages the spherical ends 9 of the
Pipes 7 and 8, so that when you tighten the nuts 13, the ball ends 9 against the
Seat surfaces 6 through the screw bolts 11
and the brackets 10 and 12 are pressed and thus a tight connection of the pipe strings 7
and 8 is made with the inverted cap.
