Description
Spray head for injection internal combustion engines There are spray heads, consisting made of granular material arranged in a shell for injection engines, known by which a -f- @ `` exercise of the fuel is to be effected. Sr- z t'- 'of this type show against the mechanical and thermal stresses, to which they are exposed in operation, not the required immutability so that their favorable effect on the fine distribution which is present in the beginning the fuel soon wears off or stops.
The essence of the present invention is to use a made of granular material (e.g. glass, quartz, metal oxides or metals), heat-sintered insert in front of the spray opening of a fuel nozzle or (and) a prechamber orifice arranged as a spray head through which causes or supports the fine atomization of the fuel or the prechamber jet will.
The use of heat-sintered granular materials has been used Inserts already proposed for surface carburetors. But it is mainly made use of the capillary properties of these packing elements. The present The invention does not only consist in the use of these inserts for a new one Purpose, but also in that another property of these sintered inserts is mainly used here, namely not the surface effect, but the Dissolving and dividing effect on the under pressure through the pores of the insert forced through liquid fuel. These insert bodies can be passed through appropriate choice of material, predominantly quartz, and the grain size of the same Sinter together in the heat so that they meet the particularly high requirements in terms of mechanical and heat resistance and sufficient size of the pores for the spraying of the fuel under overpressure in the form of very finely divided Allow liquid jets.
The subject of the invention is in two exemplary embodiments Shown in the drawing, namely shows # vertical partial section the cylinder head ei - it- - '-. g #tors with direct injection, Fig.2 in vertical section Cylinder head according to the antechamber system.
According to the drawing, i is the cooled cylinder cover with the insert 2 for supplying the fuel and the injection valve s for metering each amount of fuel to be injected. The outlet opening of this valve after the working cylinder to is through a suitably inserted insert body q., which the fine Distribution of the fuel to be sprayed provided, included. This insert body q. can e.g. B. made of granular material (glass, quartz, metal oxides or metals) and produced by sintering as a porous and thereby mechanically and thermally solid body be.
In the design according to Fig. 2, the fuel is from the injection valve 2 from initially injected into an antechamber 5. It is used for fine distribution of the fuel again a sintered insert body q .. The outlet opening of the Pre-chamber 5 after the cylinder side is also of a special one Insert body 6 made of sintered material is formed.
