Description
Process for the production of water-soluble and stable complex compounds of the pentavalent antimony Water-soluble complex compounds of the pentavalent antimony with aliphatic polyhydric alcohols have not yet been produced - while those with polyphenols are known, e.g. B. the compounds of antimonic acid with pyrocatechol described by W a 1 and and S ch o 1 de r (Zeitschr. Für anorg. U. General Ch. 127 [I9231 343), in which the phenolic hydroxyls are to be regarded as the carrier of the complex bond are, which is not noticeable given the clearly acidic character of the phenols. Accordingly, it was also possible to produce complex compounds of pentavalent antimony with aliphatic oxyacids.
It has now been found that antimonic acid is also polyvalent with aliphatic Alcohols as well as with sugars forms water-soluble complex compounds, though the complexing agents in question lack acid character. In such connections can only use the aliphatic hydroxyls of the organic complexing agent for its direct binding to the pentavalent antimony must be decisive. An immediate education but this type has apparently been considered impossible up to now. This is how you have connections which contain pentavalent antimony, so far only in the way of new types of sugar Bodies united that one of aryl stibinic acids with one or more amino groups and through the mediation of these amino groups an indirect linkage with the kind of sugar brought about. This reaction mechanism goes z. B. from the patent 43o 886 emerges.
To prepare the new compounds one brings antimonic acid or their salts directly or in a solvent, expediently at elevated temperature, with the complexing agents mentioned for reaction and added, if initially acidic Products are created which are intended to be converted to a neutral state, simultaneously or subsequently with inorganic or organic bases. The new Bodies can be removed by evaporation of their solutions or by adding organic Isolate solid precipitants. The study of the thus obtained Preparations has shown that even if they can only be obtained in amorphous form, are to be addressed as uniform connections.
It has also been found to be advantageous, particularly in execution the reaction in aqueous solution, instead of free antimonic acid from the outset its salts, preferably those which contain 1 gram equivalent of base per 1 gram atom of antimony, apply. While the free Antimonic acid, especially when it is elevated Temperature, which is subject to polymerization, which causes the reaction with the complexing agents Brings prematurely to a standstill, also allows the use of the salts mentioned in water the production of compounds that are always reproducible and have maximum content of antimony corresponding to stoichiometric ratios and without the slightest opalescence caused by polymerization colloids Dissolve antimonic acid in water. In this way, also practically insoluble Salts of antimonic acid; like those of sodium and magnesium, in easily soluble compounds convict. Likewise, the antimony salts of organic bases, z. B. of piperidine, Piperazine, diethylamine, trimethylamine, hexamethylenetetramine, etc., # for implementation be used with the polyhydric alcohols or sugars. Through the union of those antimonic acid salts which have z gram equivalent of base on 1 gram atom of antimony contain, arise with the neutrally reacting complexing agents without further Base is added, compounds that show neutral reaction in water.
On the other hand, you can use antimony pentachloride instead of antimonic acid Manufactured by hydrolysis, also the pentachloride itself or other pentahalides react with the complexing agents mentioned.
Alcoholates of the pentavalent antimony can also be reacted with the complexing agents: The new compounds are to be used primarily for pharmaceutical purposes. Examples e.g. 20 parts of antimonic acid with a content of 7%: .4% H3 Sb 04, freshly precipitated, just still moist and finely sieved, are gradually introduced into = oo parts of ethylene glycol at 140 °. Then, at a slightly reduced pressure (e.g. 60 mm of mercury) and using a boiling capillary, so much of the liquid is distilled off that the original boiling point of the glycol is reached again. The residue is neutralized at about Zoo ° with about 30% sodium hydroxide solution and finally made weakly litmuskälisch. This consumes 3.13 parts of Na OH: The whole thing is then dissolved in fine spirits and, if necessary, again mixed with enough sodium hydroxide solution that the weakly alkaline reaction persists even in the heat. Then it is filtered and about twice the last total volume of ether is added. The precipitated crystals are washed with ether on the suction filter and dried at room temperature. The resulting salt (38 parts), which is easily soluble in water and reacts neutrally, is boiled with magnesia mixture, and no antimonate is precipitated; with H3 S weak yellow coloration which only very slowly turns into turbidity or precipitation. The salt contains 2--2,510 /, Sb, 27.35% C and 6,120 / 0 H, furthermore 1 gram atom Na for every 1 gram atom Sb. A compound of the formula: would correspond to 23.02% Sb, 27, - 2% C and 6.130 /, H.

Zoo parts of primary sodium antimonate with an antimony content of q.0,980 / 0, at room temperature from excess saline with a 5 0 / 0igen Freshly precipitated solution of potassium antimonate (so-called pyroantimonate) with water washed and applied just moist, are placed in a boiling solution of 124.2 Divide Männit in 60o parts of water gradually entered. Cooking continues until the solution is almost completely clear. After cooling off, the traces undissolved substance filtered off and the filtrate on the water bath until constant Weight evaporated to dryness, finally with repeated crushing of the mass.
The amorphous product obtained in this way (= go parts) contains 21.520 / p antimony, dissolves slowly in cold, quickly in hot water, without precipitating again after cooling. The solution, reacts neutrally, gives no antimonate precipitation when cooked with magnesium mixture. With hydrogen sulfide, in the cold solution, precipitation of sulfur antimony only sets in after about one minute. The fact that the amorphous water-soluble product obtained by combining each = mole of insoluble sodium antimonate with - mole: mannitol is a uniform compound, follows, among other things, from the fact that on the one hand noticeable amounts of sodium antimonate remain undissolved when using less than 2 moles of mannitol and on the other hand with several hours of boiling 3 g of the preparation with 50 ccm of fine spirits of the latter, filtered hot, leaves only o, oi g residue on evaporation, i.e. practically does not remove any free mannitol from the preparation.
Laevulose auffassen.3. Zoo parts of primary sodium antimonate with an antimony content of 43.32%, prepared as in Example 2 and just applied wet gradually into a boiling solution of 129.8 parts of levulose in 67o parts of water entered and cooked until nothing goes into solution. After filtering off the undissolved small residue, the amount of which corresponds to the degree of purity of the applied levules fluctuates, the filtrate is evaporated and processed like the analogous mannitol preparation in Example 2. 185.3 parts of an amorphous product with an antimony content are obtained in this way of 20.730 / "which easily dissolves nicely in cold water with a neutral reaction and ini-rest shows the same properties as the said one Mannitol supplement. It can also be analogous to that as a unified connection of every 1 mole of sodium antimonate with 2 moles of laevulose.
Mannit und i Grammäquivalent Magnesium.4. 100 parts of primary magnesium antimonate with an antimony content of 33,57 ° / o. at room temperature from excess magnesium chloride solution with a Freshly precipitated 5% solution of potassium antimonate, washed with water and leveled Applied still wet, in a boiling solution of 1o1.7 parts of mannitol in 600 parts of water gradually entered. Before entering the first and the The second half of the antimonate is added to each o, o6 parts of acetic acid, which in the present cases accelerate the dissolution of the antimonate considerably. To as it cools, the traces of undissolved substance are filtered off and the whole thing like evaporated to dryness in example e. 72 parts of an amorphous product are obtained in this way with an antimony content of 19.41% that dissolves quickly in hot water, without to fail again after cooling, and the same properties otherwise possesses like the analogous sodium compound in Example 2. By the one described there Type of test, the uniformity of the magnesium compound can also be proven. It contains 2 moles of mannitol and 1 gram equivalent of magnesium for every 1 gram atom of antimony.
Dissolve 150 parts of piperidine in 100 parts of water and contribute go ° 126 parts of freshly precipitated, just still moist and finely sifted antimonic acid from 68.25 0 /, H3 Sb 04 content gradually decreases. The clear solution is on the water bath evaporated to dryness until approximate the weight of the remaining powder remains constant. This gives 113.4 parts of a piperidine antimonate with a q.9.23 ° /, Antimony.
Mannit auf 1 Grammatom Antimon Fällung eintritt, was wieder für eine einheitliche Verbindung in den genannten stöchiometrischen Verhältnissen spricht.100 parts of this salt are gradually turned into a boiling solution of 149.1 parts of mannitol in q, ooo parts of water. After cooling down, the So much piperidine (11.2 parts) was added to the solution to make it even phenolphthalein colors pink. Then it is boiled until the solution reacts litmus neutral and a temporary one any turbidity that occurs has largely disappeared again. The almost completely clear solution is filtered and evaporated to dryness on a water bath, finally with trituration the crowd. This gives 233 parts of an amorphous body with 2i, 12% antimony content, which dissolves quickly in hot water, reacts neutrally and in its other properties the analogous sodium compound of Example 2 is the same. So he yields when cooking with magnesia mixture no precipitation, while with the use of less than a mol. Mannitol on 1 gram atom of antimony precipitation occurs, which again makes for a uniform Compound in the stated stoichiometric ratios speaks.
Man erhält so wieder das im Beispiel i beschriebene Natriumglykolantimonat.6. 116.5 parts of antimony pentachloride are absolute in 500 parts Dissolved alcohol with cooling and mixed with 175 parts of ethylene glycol. Then it will be a hot-prepared and then cooled solution of 94, o parts of caustic soda (as 100 (1 / ig calculated) in 2,500 parts of absolute alcohol added and the whole heated to about 75. Sodium chloride is excreted while the supernatant Solution reacts almost neutrally to damp litmus paper. You now still bet add so much solid caustic soda (about 2 parts) that the hot solution becomes distinctly alkaline Shows reaction. After cooling, it is filtered and the filtrate at 30 ° in vacuo concentrated until a significant amount of crystals has separated out. Now is the purpose Propagation of the crystals with 2 volumes of ether added. After standing for a long time the crystals separated on the suction filter, with a mixture of i part alcohol and 2 parts of ether, finally washed with ether alone and in vacuo over calcium chloride dried. The sodium glycol antimonate described in Example i is thus obtained again.
A sodium antimony ethylate is first prepared in the following manner, with atmospheric moisture and carbon dioxide being completely excluded: 5.38 parts of sodium metal are dissolved in 160 parts of absolute ethyl alcohol. In addition, 11.65 parts of antimony pentachloride are gradually introduced into 96 parts of absolute alcohol with shaking and cooling. The former solution is then given to the latter. The whole thing is now heated to the boil in a water bath. Then the solution must react weakly but clearly alkaline to moistened neutral litmus paper; otherwise a little sodium ethylate is added. The precipitate that has separated out is filtered off hot and washed several times with hot absolute alcohol. The precipitate is then almost entirely free of antimony and consists essentially only of sodium chloride Parts of absolute alcohol in solution.
Zucker auf je i Grammatom Antimon, einlaufen. The solution is chloride-free and contains 1 gram atom of sodium for every 1 gram atom of antimony, namely as sodium antimony ethylate, the formation of which can be illustrated by the following equation:. SbC15 + 6C @ H50Na = Na [Sb (C2H50),] -h 5 NaCl This organic compound of pentavalent antimony, or its alcoholic solution, is then reacted with grape sugar as follows: The solution is allowed to boil slowly and with vigorous stirring a hot solution of 21.04 parts of anhydrous dextrose in 300 parts of water, corresponding to 3 moles of sugar per 1 gram atom of antimony. Finally, it is boiled again. After cooling, the mixture is left to stand for about 0 hours, the solution, which is almost clear in itself, is filtered and evaporated to dryness on a water bath. 29.6 parts of a preparation containing 16.0% of antimony, which is readily soluble in cold water and which is soluble in a neutral reaction, are obtained.
The same amount of sodium antimony ethylate solution is prepared as in Example 7 and, similarly as there, is dissolved in a boiling hot solution of 28.06 parts of lactose, C12 H22 011 'H20, in 300o parts of water, corresponding to 2 moles of sugar for every i gram atom of antimony, the procedure is otherwise as described in Example 7. 38.8 parts of a preparation containing 12.230% of antimony, which is readily soluble in cold water and soluble with a neutral reaction, are obtained.
