Zur Beseitigung dieses Nachteils macht man sie mit doppelten Zahlenreihen, mit den Ziffern i bis i2 und 13 bis 2q.. Bei dieser Anordnung ist aber nicht erkenntlich, ob für die augenblickliche Zeit die erste oder zweite Zahlenreihe Geltung hat. Deshalb sind sie auf dem Zifferblatt der vorliegenden Erfindung spiralig angeordnet und der Stundenzeiger durch die Verwendung einer schneckenförmigen Scheibe in seiner Länge veränderlich gemacht und so geführt, daß er auf die gerade geltende Stundenziffer zeigt. Ähnliche Einrichtungen sind schon bekannt, zum Unterschied von diesen ist die Schneckenkurve nicht feststehend, sondern mit halber Geschwindigkeit des Stundenzeigers um die Zeigerachse drehbar gemacht, so daß der Zeiger während des Verlaufs des Tages sich langsam in seiner Länge, der Steigung der Schnecke entsprechend, ändert, bis er mit Ablauf der 2q..
