Description
The invention relates to a bucket chain excavator with the bucket or scraper chains fortified grave knives. The essence of the invention is that the up to the The front edge of the bucket-side grave knife with its free, scythe-shaped design Reach the end close to the middle of the bucket ladder. This training of the excavator offers the advantage that the digging is not only done by the (conveying) chain strand, but also at the same time by the returning (idling) chain strand. Since the knives cover the entire space between the chain strand going back and forth, all masses are removed in front of the bucket ladder, with the excavated material in the the conveying part of the chain strand falls and is carried away by this.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example.
Abb. Fig. Ι is a side view of the excavator. Figure 2 is a side view of another embodiment of the excavator.
Abb. 3 zeigt einen Baggereimer in Seitenansieht. Fig. 3 shows a side view of an excavator bucket.

The excavator consists of a bucket ladder a, over which the chain b used to carry and move the buckets runs. The buckets c sit on the chain b , of which only a few are shown in Figs. 1 and 2.
The buckets, which, as can be seen from Fig. 4 and 5, are open at the back, carry grave knives d. These digging knives are attached to the side of the bucket that is in the feed direction V of the excavator. If the excavators are used both in forward gear and in reverse gear, then the buckets are provided with digging knives d on both sides. The second grave knife is indicated by dashed lines in Fig. 4. The grave knives d extend to the front edge of the bucket c and reach with their free, scythe-shaped end to close to the middle of the bucket ladder α. As can be seen from Fig. 1 and 2, the inner knife ends of the conveying and the idling chain strand pass one another closely. Fig. 1 shows that with the help of the digging knife d, the whole ground, which lies between the two chains and is indicated by hatching, is cut through before the bucket ladder reaches this point, so that there is no inhibition of the forward movement of the excavator through natural soil. The ladder can be inserted so deep into the ground that the returning chain strand also engages in the natural soil and takes part in the excavation.
The material cut off by the grave knife d falls into the lower strand of the bucket, which conveys the material to the baggei frame.
The embodiment shown in Fig. 2 shows an excavator with an articulated ladder. Should only A few meters thick surface layers are excavated, the bucket ladder receives one relatively long, horizontal ladder section, on the other hand, the excavator should essentially be Are used high cut, the bucket ladder has the shape shown in Fig. 2 ', in which the upwardly protruding ladder section is longer than the horizontal ladder section.
It is advisable to arrange protective plates over the bucket chains so that the chains are not contaminated by the dredged material.
