Flushing device for two-stroke internal combustion engines, in particular diesel engines
In the known flushing devices of the working cylinders of internal combustion engines
As with the transverse flushing according to fig. i and q., a result is easily created by the main flushing streams
enclosed roller area w consisting of a quantity of combustion gases
and during the flushing period (corresponding to the turn of the crank from 3a to 3a 'in Fig.
5) remains withdrawn from the action of the main wash flows. These combustion gases are
as is well known, hinders good combustion. To these gases from the vortex area
to expel them and expose them to the main purge flow, are auxiliary purge air flows
used, the through special, provided on the cylinder inlet channels into the cylinder interior
be directed. The direction of the auxiliary scavenging air flows is determined by the inlet channels,
whose axes are directed towards the rolling area, determined, if necessary under
Contribution of a special bevel on the piston. The flush duration of the auxiliary flush flows
extends over that of the main flushing streams, and it is therefore impossible
that a roll area with combustion gases can form anew.
In Figs. I, 2, 3 and q. a means the cylinder, b the piston, g a bevel of the piston head, c the inlet channels for the main flushing streams, d the outlet channels, e, e 'and / the inlet channels for the auxiliary scavenging air streams, w the roller area, ia to ia' of Fig. 5 the period of the outlet, 2a to 2a 'that of the auxiliary purge air supply and 3a to 3a' that of the main purge air supply when the channels are opened and closed by the piston.
In the crank position ia (Fig. 5) the exhaust ports are opened,
and the pressure in the cylinder falls according to the flow rate. In the crank position
2a the channel (or channels) for the auxiliary air supply is opened and in 3a
the one for the main purge air supply. The piston begins in its lower Totlag.e u
its return and closes in the crank position 3a 'the channel (or channels) for
the main purge air supply, in 2a 'that for the auxiliary purge air supply and in general the outlet channels,
in order to compress the cylinder contents on its further return and for the combustion
to heat.
In Abb.
In Fig. I, the course of a transverse flush is shown in dotted lines
and the roller area w is indicated by hatching. The piston position corresponds to
the position 2a in Fig.5. The channels on the side of the inlet channels for
the auxiliary flushing air flow is arranged between the two channels c of the main flushing flow
(Fig. 2) and is already open, so that the auxiliary purge air flow in the direction
can be seen after the rolling area. Its direction is determined by the inclination
of the auxiliary channel e and the piston bevel g are determined.
In fig.
3 shows the same process for two auxiliary scavenging air ducts on the side.
The auxiliary scavenging air streams meet in the cylinder axis below the roller area
w, which is indicated by hatching.
In Fig.q. are the channels f for the auxiliary scavenging air flows in the vicinity
of the cylinder cover at an angle of 90 ° to the channels of the main flushing streams
arranged. The auxiliary purge air streams meet in the area w and purge in
the corner spaces under the cylinder cover. The channels
f are controlled by special organs.
