Centrifugal for self-priming centrifugal pumps We have had for a long time
Efforts made to build centrifugal pumps for pumping liquids so that
They also convey air and gases, in other words, the column of liquid
are able to suck in themselves through the empty suction line. These attempts are
so far failed. that by a rotating top water and air from each other
are divorced, even if they are fed as a mixture to the gyro from the suction port
@vurden. The top dissolves this mixture in such a way that the water is specific
heavier body accumulates outside while the air is around the \ abe, so
just where you strive to remove them must necessarily be stored. The single ones
Constructions of this type are designed so that either the return water directly
returned to the suction chamber for mixing with the air contained therein and then
the mixture is fed to the gyro or that the suction chamber is divided and the
The gyro is alternately supplied with water and air. In the first case it triggers
the gyro this mixture immediately, as stated above, in the second case
the water does not completely fill the gyro cell, so that the previously sucked in
Air is pushed out as a piston, but attracts itself as a thread of water
the front of the blade, bypassing the air in the cell.
entstehen. As a way out, those who have learned the basic principle of centrifugal pumps,
the free flow through the top in the direction of centrifugal force, left and
based on the processes described above in a rotating gyro, namely
Formation of a water ring on the outside and an air ring on the inside by appropriate
Shaping of the housing enclosing the top with the help of this water ring
the air inwards, i.e. against the centrifugal force, through pressure slots etc.
the gyro into the pressure line. These, contrary to the natural conditions
When pumping water, the water must also take away, causing considerable losses
due to the formation of eddies, loud noises and the tendency to corrosion of the housing walls
develop.
Schaufel bei c._Mle of the types mentioned use tops with a blade length only from
outer circumference reach up to the hub diameter. Through the present invention
A fundamentally new gyro will now have the advantages of both of the above
Types of pumps, i.e. those of normal centrifugal pumps in consideration of the flow rate of the
Liquid when pumping liquids and that of the water ring pumps in consideration
connected to the absolutely safe air conveyance. The formation of the subject matter of the invention
can be seen from the accompanying drawing. Fig. T shows the top in view
Fig. 2 in section. The processes in the blade itself are illustrated in Fig.
3 and 4 shown.
According to recent research, the so-called
Channel vortices within a gyro cell. In consideration of this occurs with increasing
Vacuum the water from the spiral casing not concentrically into the cells, but
as illustrated in Figure 3, deeper on the front of the bucket than on the back,
and tries to move against the direction of rotation of the top in the cell
to move. This causes the air contained in the cell to reach the rear wall of the blade
pushed. However, the new gyro presented by this invention is now so
designed that the individual cells are extended beyond their inner diameter
are so that the pockets a arise. The return water is through these pockets a
sprayed onto the air core. At the moment of injection there is equilibrium
disturbed in the cell. The water that has already penetrated the cell from the outside sets
in motion, penetrates deeper into the cell and pushes in connection with
the air core as a whole from the injected water. This process is in the
Fig. 4 shown. However, the actual liquid pumping is not in any
Way and goes on in a completely normal way. The liquid to be conveyed
occurs at b, passes through the top in the direction of the centrifugal force and leaves the
Shovel at c.
It is thus achieved by this invention that a normal centrifugal pump
in contrast to the previously known centrifugal pumps this one
Kind of inevitably and safely self-sucks without the ones mentioned and outlined above
to take over significant disadvantages of the water ring pumps.
