Description
Cooker for periodically acting absorption refrigerators. With absorption refrigerators for periodic operation, the vapors from the evaporator must be in the solvent during cooling get into the cooker to be absorbed by it. This is according to the invention achieved in that a pipe is used, which is partly in the line, which leads from the lower part of the cooker to the condenser, protrudes and partly in the cooker rises to a certain height. In the drawing is the invention shown schematically. a is: the cooker, c the condenser and d the evaporator an absorption refrigerator. Two pipes b1 and b2, the latter of which is a digester and the condenser are interlocked, but in such a way that the inner tube bi partially protrudes and into the cooker a. These pipes are. dimensioned so that there is still enough free space between them for liquid or gas flows remain as they occur below.
The liquid in the digester a, e.g. Ammonia, is heated by any heat source. The emerging vapors flow through the line bi and then b2 via the condenser c to the evaporator j. The pipe bi has such a width that the vapors developed can flow in the form of individual bubbles to the condenser c, so that the pipe bi is not completely emptied of liquid . During the cooling period, the displaced liquid flows back in the pipe b :, and thereby closes the vapor space in the cooker a. Since the liquid column in the tube bi in the digester a is larger than the liquid column located above the inlet opening of the tube b2 in the digester a, the vapors developed during cooling only enter the boiled solution through the tube b2 and are absorbed by it.
The fact that the cooker is in a known manner under the evaporator or lower than this is arranged, the water that has accumulated in the evaporator d runs by itself after the cooker a back.
