Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a power supply unit for feeding a Gas discharge lamp according to the preamble of claim 1. A Known power supply of this type contains a total of five Transisto ren, namely a switching transistor for easy switching power supply and four further switching transistors in the form of a Bridge circuit, in the diagonal of which the gas discharge lamp lies. Such a power supply has special requirements conditions regarding the power factor or power factor. This factor gives the proportion of harmonics in the network received electricity. The factor may be according to the latest regulations certain values that are dependent on the respective performance are not to limit the harmonic load on the network Zen.
The invention has for its object to be a power supply to further develop the written type so that on the one hand the scarf processing costs reduced and on the other hand a lower Po wer factor and thus a lower harmonic load on the Network can be achieved.
This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1 solved. Advantageous developments of the invention are in the Subclaims specified.
The charging capacitor at the output of the network is preferably the same richer sized so small, z. B. 5µF that at the output a essential unsieved Hall wave voltage constant Po larity arises. The condensate forming the series connection Ren at the output of the switching power supply are large dimensioned, about 300 - 500 µF, and form the necessary memory. The lamp is thus connected symmetrically at both ends, namely once at the junction of the two large ones Capacitors and the other to the junction of the two Switching transistors. Compared to a known circuit Total expenditure of five transistors, namely a switching transistor stor for the switching power supply and four transistors for the Bridge circuit, reduced to a total of only three Transisto ren. It has been shown that this simplified circuit a particularly low power factor, d. H. Harmonic load on the Network can be achieved.
According to a development of the invention, the switching transi stor of the switching power supply, the transistors of the series circuit and the ignition circuit for the tube from a microprocessor controls, which records all important system data. By a Such processor control can also be the following pass.
Certain lamps such as B. a metal halide lamp have the following Peculiarity: When the lamp is switched off and immediately after is turned on again, there are usually no problems. However, there is a critical one after switching off Time range, e.g. B. 30 s - 5 min. after switching off. If the lamp is restarted within this time range, it can destroy the ignitor or the lamp come. The microprocessor is now designed so that it Time after the lamp turns off and during the ge called critical time to prevent the lamp from being switched on again different. The processor can also use the energy for the startup process control and adapt to the respective condition of the lamp. The Starting energy is e.g. B. depending on the respective temperature of the Lamp and can by the microprocessor of temperature or on their parameters at the time of the intended starting process be adjusted. The microprocessor can be found at the end of the lamp Protect the power supply against destruction during the end of the day. This and the deviation from target operating values can be reported or are displayed.

Fig. 3 shows a further circuit diagram for the circuit of FIG. 1.
Fig. 1 shows the fed by the mains voltage UN network rectifier ter 1, the charging capacitor 2, the reactor 3, the switching transistor 4, the rectifier 5, the capacitors 6, 7, the gas-discharge lamp 8, the ignition circuit with the modules 10 and 30, the low-pass lamp filter with the components 9 , 11 and the series connection of the two switching transistors 12 , 13 , which are bridged by capacitors 14 , 15 .
The components 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 form a switching power supply. The switching transistor 4 is periodically controlled and blocked by the microprocessor 16 with a switching voltage Us1 of approximately 30 kHz. The processor 16 controls the two transistors 12 , 13 in a push-pull manner with the switching voltages Us2 and Us3, so that an alternating current i is generated in the lamp 8 .
In FIG. 2, the microprocessor 16 supplies the basic clock C at 500 Hz for the control circuit 17 which, like in FIG. 1, controls the transistors 12 , 13 shown as switches with a frequency of 50 kHz. In stage 18 , a comparison is made between the current actual value Iact and the current setpoint Isoll. The comparison result provides a reset voltage for the flip-flop 21 via the PI controller 19 and the stage 20 . Whose output voltage controls the generator 17 and the PWM-modulated switching voltages Us2 and Us3 with about 50 kHz, the duty cycle of the transistors 12 , 13 , which are switched on and off in complementary manner in the basic clock cycle C. The switching voltage Us at the connection point of the switches 12 , 13 is fed to the comparator 28 . The comparator 28 compares the switching voltage Us with a fixed reference value, either with zero potential or with the value of the voltage UNDC at the upper end of the switch 12 . The switched comparison value is determined by the basic clock C via line 29 . The circuit works with two different frequencies, one with the switching frequency of the switches 12 , 13 of about 50 kHz and the other with the so-called basic clock C of 500 Hz. During a half period of the basic clock, only the switch 12 clocks and during the other half period and the switch 13 . When the switch 12 clocks, the switching voltage Us is compared with the voltage UNDC. When the switch 13 clocks, the switching voltage Us is compared with zero potential. This ensures that the switches 12 , 13 are only turned on when the voltage across the capacitors 14 , 15 is equal to zero. If this condition were not met, that is, the switches 12 , 13 are switched on, when there is still a voltage on the capacitors 14 , 15 , the power loss of the circuit would increase.
Fig. 3 shows a further embodiment of the circuit according to Fig. 1. The switching transistors 12 , 13 controlled in Fig. 1 are designed as FETs and each connected in series with a diode 22 , 23 . In addition, two so-called free-wheeling diodes 24 , 25 are also provided. The capacitors 14 , 15 have a capacitance of approximately 2.2 nF. The inductor 11 has an inductance of approximately 200 μH. The capacitors 6 , 7 are each formed by the parallel connection of two identical capacitors, each with 330 μF. The capacitor 9 lying parallel to the lamp 8 has a capacitance of approximately 1 μF. The measuring resistors 26 , 27 used to measure the alternating current i flowing through the lamp 8 each have a value of approximately 0.1 ohm. These resistors supply voltages above the actual value of the current i through the lamp 8 , which is supplied to stage 18 in FIG. 2.
