Description

The invention relates to an electric floor polisher with a rotating disc brush, whose motor is supported on the brush holder by means of a vertical pin which at the same time is the bearing pin for the brush holder. The brushes are driven by a pinion on the shaft of the motor, which is connected to a toothing of the motor surrounding the motor Brush holder is engaged. With ίο such floor polishing machines, it is essential that they run as silently as possible. The engine must therefore be at its altitude can be set very precisely in order to achieve precise tooth engagement. Already quite small differences in height cause a rattling gait. The height adjustment of the With the previous storage, the motor was only possible by placing shim washers on the support bearing hung up. As a result, the setting requires repeated disassembly of the machine without any guarantee that an exact setting will be achieved. This is where the invention comes in. It consists in the fact that the support bearing of the pin rests on a coil spring placed around the pin, which is so strong that it carries the motor so that by tightening an outside of the bearing on the journal arranged adjusting nut, the height of the motor can be set very precisely can.

In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is in section shown.

The plate brush ι is through a claw clutch 2 is coupled to the brush holder 3 in rotation, which is set in rotation by the motor 6 with the aid of the bevel gears 4, S will. The motor 6 is by means of a vertical that is firmly inserted into the motor housing The pin 7 is supported on the brush holder 3. The pin 7 also forms the bearing pin for the brush holder 3. The Hub 8 of brush holder 3 accommodates two ball bearings 9 and 10. The top, 9, is as Shoulder bearing formed, d. H. as a bearing in which the bearing shells are in an axial direction can move something. The lower bearing 10 is a normal ball bearing; H. a bearing in which the outer and inner shells cannot move relative to one another. The outer shells of the two bearings are separated by a spacer ring 11 and are placed between the cover plates 12 and 13 of the hub by means of screw bolts 14 clamped. The inner shells of the two ball bearings close a helical compression spring 15, which is dimensioned so strong that it can support the engine. Of the Pin 7 is supported with a collar 16 on the inner ring of the ball bearing 9. The Pin 7 ends outside the bearing in a screw thread 17 on which an adjusting nut 18 is screwed on.

This device enables the pin 7 in the direction of its axis within the ball bearings a small amount of play, which is determined by the displaceability of the inner bearing shell of the upper ball bearing 9. if so it shows that the gears 4, 5 are not exactly in engagement with one another, so is only required to tighten or loosen the screw 18. In the first case the motor with its drive shaft is lowered a little, in the second case it is raised a little. In this way, without having to take the machine apart, the gears 4, 5 are brought into engagement with one another precisely.
