Abstract
Description
The individual layers have different tasks. The "asphalt base courses" below are in thicknesses installed between 6 and 18 cm thick and take the main load of static and dynamic road traffic forces on. The "asphalt binder courses" are in thicknesses of 3.5 cm to 8 cm (in general) built in and take especially the thrust from the traffic forces acting on and also represent the transition to the "wear layers". These are installed in thicknesses of 2 to 4 cm (in general). Their traffic loads result from the direct Contacts between the vehicle tires, axle weights and the Weather influences that affect these layers as a whole. The task falls to the wear layers, especially to be tight and stable at the same time. The rock material used must u. a. abrasion-resistant, frost-proof and weatherproof overall be, together with the bitumen as a "binder", which optimally glues all mineral particles together and must also be largely weatherproof.
Diese Arbeiten führten in den Jahren ab etwa 1970 zu neuen Rezepturen, wie:The "Additional Technical regulations and guidelines for the construction of bituminous Road ceilings "(short: ZTV bit-StB 84/90), edition 1984/1990, together with leaflets and guidelines, as technical regulations. Research and development result in constant optimization all the basics. This work took place over the years 1970 on new recipes, such as:
a) Splittmastix-Asphalt,
b) Drän- bzw. Drain-Asphalt, sowie
c) Asphaltbeton mit hohem Splittgehalt.a) stone mastic asphalt,
b) drainage or drain asphalt, as well
c) Asphalt concrete with high grit content.
Include all three asphalt formulations for wear layers a high to very high grit content (from 2 to 11 mm or also up to 16 mm grain diameter) with proportions of approx. 70% by weight up to 85% by weight. Accordingly, the sand and Filler proportions between 30 wt .-% to 15 wt .-%. Such a Mineral mixture bitumen added, which in the hot manufacturing temperatures for asphalt of approx. 170 ° C. yourself behaves almost exactly like water would at a slightly higher Bitumen addition when the mineral mixture can "carry" one certain amount of bitumen during truck transport from the asphalt mixing plant to the construction site on the truck bed and so missing in the asphalt mix. Such an inhomogeneous mix would not be suitable for road construction. Therefore, in manufacturing a special substance added as a "stabilizing "Added, which has the main task, the bitumen too keep homogeneous in the mix on the transport route and run off to prevent.
At the beginning of the development work on the above three special mixtures was considered a "stabilizing additive" asbestos, which but not because of its hazard potential in road construction since 1980 more is used. In the search for substitutes the cellulose fiber from waste paper processing. Furthermore there there are another number of stabilizing additives that but are not further described. Fibrous materials are in plastic containers from z. B. 1 kg, 3 kg and more during the asphalt production is thrown into the mixing drum by hand, whereby the PE plastic material melts immediately, the contents releases that within a certain mixing time in the Asphalt mixture distributed homogeneously.
In the course of a mechanical addition, fiber material with hard bitumen or mixed special bitumen or bituminized mineral and then crushed to sand fineness. Such one Product can be blown from a truck silo into a blowing process High silo to be transported to the asphalt mixing plant, from what the addition as granulate mechanically via the dosing scale in the Mixer part is done.
With cellulose fiber, care must be taken that in the mixer thermal and mechanical stress only for a short time lasts, otherwise the fiber material disintegrates increasingly.
B. Flachs, Hanf, Jute u. a. in Asphalt-Laboreignungsprüfungen mit Erfolg untersucht. In search of a much more stable fiber those made of organic material, such as. B. flax, hemp, jute u. a. successfully tested in asphalt laboratory aptitude tests. This gave access to the jute in an inventive manner. Recently, empty jute bag bundles have been gaining access in the fiber processing industry. Recycling- Measures are necessary to recondition or in the containers to eliminate in any way. Within the scope of the invention fibers with lengths of 4 mm, preferably 2 mm and 1 mm, produced and tested. It was found that the jute material alone or in mixtures with others Fibers such as B. with flax, hemp, mineral fibers and. a. fulfills all requirements in the special asphalt mixture, provided the lengths of other fibers are preferred to the length 2 mm or 1 mm could be adjusted.
Alle Vorteile, die sich aus einem Vergleich mit der Papier-Cellulosefaser ergeben, können wie folgt zusammengefaßt werden:Jute fibers are therefore in the inventive recycling process alone or in a mixture with other fibrous materials on an industrial scale to be used in asphalt road construction. All advantages that result from a comparison with the paper cellulose fiber, can be summarized as follows:
Jute sacks are used in recycling measures and processes made into a fiber mass with a fiber length of Max. 4 mm, preferably 2 mm or 1 mm. As a result of the definable Length and because of the vegetable cellulose components, these fibers have a higher tensile strength and behave much more robust in asphalt production, and more tearproof and also show in mastic asphalt and in Road surface a favorable bending tensile strength.
The "stabilizing" influence, determined with the "expiry test", is at least as cheap. In addition, it was found be that the own need for binders in natural fibers is much lower. This creates for the whole Road surface has the advantage that more binders Mineral mixture is available. A quality advantage!
. . wird die Verwendung gefördert.3. Jute material from recycling measures is changing Shares with other fibers and fine-grained bitumen Mineral mixtures can be mixed. A use of flax from domestic, agricultural production, is from great economic and ecological benefits in the sense of Use according to the principle of "renewable raw materials". From the ministries of agriculture. . . will use promoted.
Recycled jute is alone or mixed with others Fibrous materials miscible with bituminous mineral mixtures, Bitumen, polymer modified bitumen, liquid Synthetic resins as part of the improvement of bitumen properties and fine-grained minerals, mostly in simple, mechanical mixing cycle in a single- or twin-shaft compulsory mixer. After cooling the mass and subsequent comminution a material was created on a sand-like granulate, which by silo truck. transported and in a silo can be blown over at an asphalt mixing plant. over the further way z. B. by means of a screw conveyor and The bituminous fiber granulate can be weighed into the asphalt mixer be metered mechanically. To promote a Favorable storage in very warm high silos, the granulate e.g. B. aerated concrete granulate or other fine-grained minerals added.
The stabilizing additive described above will mainly used in road construction. But he can also in Building construction can be used, e.g. B. in connection with asphalt materials for roofing felt or asphalt mastic, asphalt sludge or emulsions for a wide variety of applications.
