Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a liquid mixture for Cleaning especially of soldered circuit boards, Strip conductors, printed circuit boards, layer circuits, etc.
Halogenated ones were used for such purposes Hydrocarbons used, especially CFCs, but which with the second Federal Immission Control Ordinance Environmental reasons had to be replaced. As a replacement cleaner there are a lot of liquids and mixtures. For example, cleaning with alcohols, terpenes, Hydrocarbons or with strongly alkaline Cleaning fluids known.
However, the alternatives mentioned are either in their Insufficient cleaning effect, from an occupational safety point of view View, e.g. B. Health protection, explosion protection, etc. unusable, or it will become the use of the same Environmental protection problems from the exhaust air to wastewater. You can use one or the other cleaner or some of the disadvantages mentioned, so to Example using ethanol whose Explosion hazard due to complex explosion Protective measures must be weakened, e.g. B. by that Cleaning bath to a temperature below 12 ° Celsius is cooled. But ethanol shows at this temperature greatly reduced solvent power to flux residues and makes frequent rework necessary.
The invention was based on the following object, a good one acting cleaning liquid specify which is environmentally friendly, which in the course of Health and safety regulations make the work process uncritical which is not too expensive, which in can be disposed of cheaply and which before all Things a flash point greater than room temperature having.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen bzw. Ausgestaltungen ergeben sich durch die Unteransprüche. This problem is solved by the features according to Claim 1. Advantageous further developments or refinements result from the subclaims.
The cleaner according to the invention has the following advantages:
Good cleaning result, environmental compatibility, occupational safety compatibility, inexpensive, environmentally friendly disposal and a flash point of over 40 ° Celsius. The advantage of recyclability is that the chemical structure of the cleaner and the boiling points of the individual components mean that it can be reprocessed by distillation without thermal decomposition of the individual components, i.e. that the boiling point is reduced under vacuum, so that the detergent is separated while separating it cleaning residues can be recovered. The chemical consumption can be reduced by reprocessing which can be repeated as often as required.
Another advantage is that both for cleaning vapor phase soldered strip conductor on carrier as well as for cleaning strip lines with soldered components using the same uniform and effective cleaning process The present cleaning liquid according to the invention is used can be.
Cleaning with fluxes containing rosin and Solder pastes soldered flat assemblies are made with the present Cleaning liquid with a very good result, d. H. residue-free. The cleaning liquid is in able to leave residue on solder paste after soldering remove even with modern solder pastes that have a complex Construction with solder, flux, organic binders, Thixotropic agents, glycol derivatives as thinners, etc. exhibit. Cleaning also takes place after Reflow soldering process residue-free.
The residue-free removal of the solder pastes etc. could not only be observed visually, but was also objectively verified by means of residue measurements with a so-called ionograph. The measurements of the ionogenic residues with the ionograph showed that 85% of the measured values are clearly below 1 µg NaCl equivalent per qcm substrate surface, see Fig. 1. Even the outliers are still within the MIL standard of 3.1 µg NaCl -Equivalent per qcm substrate surface.
Figs. 2 and 3 also show, in a graph, the results of measurements by means of the above-mentioned residue Ionographen.
Beidesmal erfolgt dies an zehn Prüflingen. Both figures bring the synergy effect of the present one Detergent liquid, for printing, whereby the measured ionographic residues after two runs Mixing formulas of the present invention Detergent liquid those ionographic residues of the Starting components are compared. Both times this is done on ten test objects.
In Fig. 2, a cleaning liquid with a mixing ratio of 60% n-butanol and 40% glycol ether was used. A residue of no more than about 0.6 µg per qcm NaCl equivalent was measured in all test objects, on average about 0.5. In contrast, 100% n-butanol achieved 1.4, maximum 1.6 and 100% glycol ether up to 2 µg per qcm NaCl equivalent. The mixture of 50% n-butanol, 40% glycol ether and 10% deionized water gave even better results. The results of this mixture BGW 541 are shown in FIG. 3, according to which all 10 test specimens with a maximum of approximately 0.25 μg per qcm NaCl equivalent are far below the MIL standard of 3.1. The synergy effect can be seen most clearly in the effect of the deionized water in the BGW 541 mixture; 100% water deion. has absolutely no solvency compared to rosin fluxes, this was not shown in FIG. 3. However, 10% water as a component of the mixture introduces a polar component into the mixture and thus achieves a significant improvement in the overall solvent capacity with regard to the polar components of the flux.
In addition, it should be noted that the invention Cleaner liquid cleans wastewater and that the used cleaning fluid like other halogen-free organic solvents can be disposed of.
Another advantage of the cleaning liquid according to the invention is that they can also be used to clean metals, Waveguides, etc. can be used. Besides, it is not corrosive, d. H. it doesn't have to be like others Cleaning fluids are kept in stainless steel containers. With the cleaner according to the invention, more than service life is twice as long as with the conventional cleaners. One of the highest evaluating advantages is that one exceptionally high cleaning of flux residues is achieved, in particular also from ionic residues, so that this is a prerequisite for use according to post, MIL and space specifications are met and use becomes much less critical.
