Reihenzylinderkopf einer flüssigkeitsgekühlten Brennkraft­ maschine mit zwei nebeneinanderliegenden Einlaßventilen und einem den Einlaßventilen gegenüberliegenden Auslaßventil und mindestens einer Zündkerze pro Zylinder, wobei die Einlaßven­ tile und das Auslaßventil zur Steuerung jeweils einer Ventil­ öffnung einen Ventilsitz im Zylinderkopfbrennraum aufweisen und wobei von den Ventilsitzen der Einlaßventile mindestens ein Einlaßkanal und von dem Ventilsitz des Auslaßventiles ein Aus­ laßkanal in Querrichtung zu einer Zylinderkopflängsachse abge­ führt ist, und wobei die Ventilsitze der Einlaßventile um die Zylindermittellängsachse angeordnet sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine die Ventilmittellängsachsen (10) der Einlaßventile in Höhe der Ventilsitze (4) schneidende gedachte Gerade (11) mit der Zylinderkopflängsachse (9) einen Winkel (α) von 40° bis 50° bildet und in den Freiräumen außerhalb des durch die Anordnung der Ventilmittellängsachsen (10, 18) der Ventile in Höhe der Ventilsitze (4, 6) gebildeten gedachten Dreieckes (14) zwischen den Einlaßventilsitzen (4) und dem Auslaßventilsitz (6) jeweils Platz für einen Zündkerzenschacht (13) gebildet ist, und daß die Kühlflüssigkeitskanäle im Zylinderkopf (1) im wesentlichen quer zur Zylinderkopflängsachse (9) verlaufen. 1.
