Abstract

The connection system has a number of connection rails (2) extending parallel to one another between respective aligned fixing tongues of a U-shaped support mounting (1) and associated socket rails (3) attached to a circuit board (4) supported between the two rows of fixing tongues. The clamp contacts of each connection rail (2) and the socket contacts of each socket rail (3) both have contact pins fitting through respective bores in the circuit board (4) which are coupled together to provide the required connections between the socket contacts and the connection rail contacts. The socket rails (3) may be supported on the side of the circuit board (4) facing the connection rails (2) or on its opposite side.
