Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for evaporating liquefied natural gas under energy production by the liquid natural gas in heat exchange with each other separate circulated fluids, which relaxed, condensed and working again be evaporated, warmed to ambient temperature is, the fluid of a first cycle natural gas is which of the warmed up to ambient temperature Natural gas branched off, work relieved, in Heat exchange with liquid natural gas condenses and that liquid natural gas is added again, and the fluid of a second cycle, multi-stage work is relaxed.
The necessary for the vaporization of liquid natural gas Heat is generally from a heat transfer medium like air, Sea or river water supplied. Will now be additional via auxiliary circuits with expansion turbines LNG refrigeration used to generate electrical energy this reduces the water required by the heat transfer medium Energy by the same amount. This will reduce itself the amount of water required or the operating costs for the water supply. The more auxiliary circuits, however installed, the higher the Investment costs for heat exchange surfaces and machines. The economic optimum is therefore two (three) auxiliary circuits.
A process with two circulated Working fluids as heat exchangers is in DE-OS 26 33 713. There becomes a liquid Natural gas flow in several heat exchange stages initially warmed and then evaporated. A first fluid circuit forms part of the vaporized natural gas itself Part of the vaporized natural gas is from the natural gas stream branched, work-relaxed, against liquid natural gas to be heated condenses on liquid Compressed natural gas pressure and the liquid natural gas stream mixed again.
The fluid of the second circuit in the known Process used ethane. This is a against River water, sea water or air evaporated ethane stream relaxed working. The relaxed stream will shared, with a first part further work-related relaxation, subsequent Condensation in counterflow to natural gas, again Warming and, combined with the second part of the Ethanstromes, a re-evaporation is supplied. The second part of the ethane flow is against natural gas to be heated condenses and the first Ethane stream mixed again. Due to the two relaxation of the heat exchange medium and Maintaining the workforce The relaxation process is followed by both ethane flows their condensation in the heat exchange with the one to be heated Natural gas, pumped to a common pressure.
The energy yield of this process is good, but it is using ethane as a circulating fluid Energy expenditure, as for its storage, too under pressure, external cooling is necessary.
The object of the present invention was therefore based on a method of the type mentioned above train that lower investment costs effort and / or better energy recovery are guaranteed.
This object is achieved in that a fluid is used for the second circuit, which at a pressure of up to 20 bar Ambient temperature can be stored in liquid form.
As special for the method according to the invention Has been advantageous as a fluid of the second circuit Proven.
According to the invention, a fluid is thus proposed for its storage under pressure does not require external cooling is. For example, storage under one Pressure of 20 bar at ambient temperature without any problems possible, with the disadvantage of an energy-intensive There is no cooling.
In a further embodiment of the invention can be used as a fluid of the second cycle ammonia can be used. Also here is a storage under pressure Ambient temperature possible.
The multi-stage expansion of the fluid of the second Circulation is preferably carried out by the fluid of the second circuit is split into partial streams relaxed to different pressures, then in different stages in heat exchange with to be heated and brought to evaporating natural gas and again be brought together.
The method according to the invention is also described by way of example with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2.
Fig. 1 is the basic representation of the method according to the invention. A liquid natural gas stream 1 is first heated in a heat exchanger E 1 against condensing natural gas from line 2 b . In the heat exchangers E 2 A and E 2 B , the natural gas flow is further heated against the heat exchange medium, for example propane, which is conducted in the circuit of the lines 3 a , 3 b and 3 c . The final heating of the natural gas flow is carried out in heat exchanger E 3 A in countercurrent to sea water to be cooled from line 4 . From the gaseous natural gas stream 1, a portion is drawn off via a branch line 2 a, work expanded in expander X 1 is condensed in heat exchange to anzuwärmendem natural gas and mixed to increase the pressure by pump P 1 on the pressure of the liquid natural gas stream therefrom again. The residual flow of the vaporized natural gas is drawn off in line 6 . The fluid of the second circuit draws its energy for work performance and natural gas heating from the sea water provided in line 4 . After passing heat exchanger E 3 B , the fluid in line 3 a has completely evaporated and is split into two partial flows. Part of the vaporized fluid is expanded in a work-performing manner in expansion turbine X 2 B and is conducted in line 3 b to a heat exchanger E 2 B , where it condenses against natural gas and fluid of line 3 a to be heated. The fluid is compressed in pump P 2 B and brought together with liquid, compressed fluid from line 3 d , reheated and evaporated in heat exchanger E 2 B. The other part of the fluid is fed via line 3 c to the expansion machine X 2 A for work-related relaxation. In line 3 d , expanded fluid is then passed to heat exchanger E 2 A , where it is condensed against liquid natural gas to be heated in line 1 and liquid fluid compressed by means of pump P 2 A. After compression of the partial flows of the fluid to a common pressure by pumps P 2 A and P 2 B , the flows are brought together again. The second fluid circuit is thus closed. The sea water used for energy generation and natural gas evaporation is brought in via line 4 , through the parallel connected heat exchangers E 3 A (in thermal contact with the natural gas stream to be heated) and E 3 B (in thermal contact with the fluid to be evaporated from the second circuit) and after heat removal via line 5 subtracted.
Die Berechnungen für beide Verfahren erfolgten unter der Annahme gleicher Voraussetzungen:A comparison of the known method from DE-OS 26 33 713, using ethane as a heat exchange medium, with the method described using the example of FIG. 1, wherein propane is used as the heat exchange medium according to the invention, yielded a better energy yield for the latter method. The calculations for both methods were made on the assumption of the same conditions:
- - gleiche Erdgaszusammensetzung- same natural gas composition
- - gleichwertige Maschinen- equivalent machines
- - Eingangsdruck des flüssigen Erdgasstroms 82.4 bar- Inlet pressure of the liquid natural gas stream 82.4 bar
- - Abgabedruck 80 bar- Dispensing pressure 80 bar
- - Durchsatz an Erdgas 130 t/h- Natural gas throughput 130 t / h
- - Eintrittstemperatur des flüssigen Erdgasstroms 125 K.- Entry temperature of the liquid natural gas flow 125 K.
Under the above conditions, the profit was known method 3880 kW while with the Process according to the invention achieved 4181 kW profit were.
While maintaining the number of expansion turbines State of the art for this realization of the inventive method an increase in Energy yield, in addition, there is no elaborate Storage of the circulating medium.
FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the method according to the invention from FIG. 1, in which the natural gas stream warmed to ambient temperature is expanded in a two-stage process. The warmed natural gas stream is expanded in the expansion turbine X 3 for the first time in a work-performing manner and, for renewed heating against sea water, passes through line 4 through the heat exchanger E 3 C before a part for further expansion in X 1 (analogous to FIG. 1) is removed via line 2 a , while the other part of the natural gas is withdrawn via line 7 .
In a variant of the method, not shown the warmed natural gas stream is divided into two. A Partial flow forms the first fluid circuit during the other partial stream again before its withdrawal work is relaxed.
