Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for calibrating a Weighing device on bulk material conveyors, in particular Bunker discharge conveyors, especially trough chain conveyors, Slat conveyors, belt conveyors and the like, the measurement beam that generates electromagnetic radiation Radiation source on the running bulk material conveyor through a predetermined layer height of the bulk material passed and the damping of the measurement caused by the bulk material beam determined by means of a radiation detector and the measurement result for evaluation and calibration of the an electronic computer with evaluation unit the weighing device is supplied. Further relates the invention on a useful device for Execution of the procedure.
In particular, the invention is based on the calibration of a radiometric weighing device for bulk material conveyors, as especially bunker discharge conveyors, directed at the for measurement purposes the gamma radiation of a radioactive Radiation source is used. Instead, however also with the soft gamma radiation of an X-ray machine or the like. be worked.
In the conventional radiometric weighing devices for Determination of the bulk goods conveyed by bulk material conveyors As is well known, there is a need for quantities Commissioning and also at certain intervals calibrate to get the most accurate weighing results possible. This is done with the conventional weighing devices mentioned type on the way of a target-actual value comparison in the way that in the event of an impermissible deviation from the weighing device determined measurement result from the actually conveyed bulk quantity a calibration or adjustment of the weighing device is carried out. In practice must be done in such a way that with the Bulk material conveyor over a predetermined period of time Bulk material with a certain layer height with known Layer width and bulk density and with a specified delivery conveyed speed and into a collection container will be carried. The in the collection container over the measurement period The volume of the collected quantity must then be weighed. The cradle The result is with that of the radiometric weighing device determined result compared. If the Ab The calibration of the weighing device can then yield based on the actual values determined. It is regularly necessary to carry out the aforementioned measuring processes perform several times in succession in order to be as accurate as possible Average values for the often not completely homogeneous To get bulk goods.
In the aforementioned calibration work, very large Bulk quantities of many tons conveyed, in the collecting container ter are picked up and weighed using large scales. The The process is therefore extremely time-consuming and costly complex. When collecting containers are large and corresponding heavy containers needed. Weighing the filled con tainer is made using industrial scales, most of which are on Be drive location of the conveyor are not available. For the trans Special containers are used to transport heavy containers, such as. Heavy duty transport vehicles and the like, needed.
The object of the invention is therefore for the purposes mentioned to develop a calibration method that works on site the bulk material conveyor much easier and faster so as with less equipment with high accuracy can lead without transporting large quantities of bulk goods and using a large industrial scale as a reference scale must be weighed.
This object is achieved in that the Calibration process using a bulk filling ent holding calibration box which is carried out from a Material exists, the specific weight at least approximate to the bulk weight of the conveyed bulk goods corresponds, with the height of the bulk filling of the potash brierbox plus the thickness of the calibration box base on the predetermined layer height is adjusted, and that the potash brierbox during the measuring process in the cross section of the conveyor half of the circulating conveying means of the bulk material conveyor in the radiation path of the radiation source compared to the empty one running bulk material conveyor is positioned stationary.
In this procedure, a special Calibration box worked, the contents of which are bulk goods does not need to exceed the amount of 100 kg and the therefore also hand by hand without any particular effort let have. For weighing the calibration box or its Bulk filling can take the place of a fixed industry weigh a smaller and regularly more precise one Small scales are used whose weighing limit e.g. at 100 kg. Because the filling volume of the calibration box is known is filled with the bulk material to be conveyed be that there is a bulk density that the bulk density when conveying the bulk material through the bulk material corresponds to the sponsor. Bulk density fluctuations can be by repeatedly filling the calibration box with the changing bulk goods and repeated execution accordingly compensate for the measuring process.
Because the calibration box is made of one material, the specific weight of the bulk as closely as possible corresponds to the weight of the bulk material to be conveyed Measurement result by the calibration box not unreasonably ver fakes. During the calibration process the Calibration box just above the driven conveyor (Scraper or trough chain belt, link belt, webbing, etc.) of the bulk material conveyor in a measuring position in which the Measuring radiation (gamma radiation) the calibration box and their Bulk filling penetrates. The weakening that the meas experiences radiation when passing through the calibration box and which is determined by the radiation detector hence the weakening they experience in normal production operations when passing through the conveyed by the bulk material conveyor Bulk layer of the aforementioned layer height experiences. This gives measurement results that correspond to the actual Correspond exactly to values. With the help of the calibration box Measured values thus obtained form actual values which are related to the potash or to adjust or readjust the electronics the weighing device can be used immediately can. You get particularly accurate results if during during the calibration process the conveyor runs empty. In this In this case, measured variables influencing the measurement result e.g. the weight of the chain links without and with the correspond to participants, included in the measurement process and by means of Evaluation units eliminated. Generally it recommends for the reasons mentioned above, several in succession perform the appropriate measurements using the calibration box, to compensate for fluctuations in the bulk density of the bulk material same. The calibration box can be decanted based on their comparatively small dimensions and their ent speaking small handling weights without any special effort accomplish quickly.
As mentioned, the method according to the invention is preferred for radiometric weighing devices on bulk material conveyors determined in which a gamma radiation generating radioactive radiation source in connection with a Scintillation detector is used. Instead, can in the electronic weighing device but also with a other radiation source, e.g. an x-ray machine, working tet, which is also an electromagnetic wave radiation (soft gamma radiation).
The ver for carrying out the method according to the invention turned device has a bulk material conveyor, the promotes the bulk material with a predetermined layer height, further one formed by a computer with an evaluation unit preferably radiometric weighing device for weighing the conveyed bulk material in connection with a radiation source that penetrates the bulk material flow electromagnetic measuring beam (gamma ray) generated, wherein the measuring jet emerging from the bulk material flow a radiation detector is received for transmission of the measurement signals with the evaluation unit of the electronic Calculator is coupled. According to the invention is in the area the conveyor section of the bulk material conveyor a holding device device for a fixed position during the calibration process a calibration box in the radiation path of the radiation source, but above the path of the driven endless conveying means of the bulk material conveyor are provided, which take up a measuring filling of the bulk material to be conveyed can. The calibration box expediently consists of a Material whose specific weight is approximately equal to that Corresponds to the bulk weight of the bulk material to be conveyed. Ge are particularly suitable for the production of the calibration box Plastics, especially those based on polyethylene.
The holding device is arranged so that the potash brierbox just above the path of the promotional dream of the circulating funding (scraper chain, slat conveyor, belt belt or the like.) of the bulk material conveyor. Here, NEN holding devices of different types who used the, e.g. Support consoles or simple drawer guides into which the calibration box is inserted in the manner of a drawer to be led.
In a bunker discharge conveyor, whereupon the invention trains is directed, the holding device is useful in Close to the bunker discharge in the area of the bunker discharge conveyor rers arranged. The bunker discharge can, as in itself known, a cover or the like. be provided which with the holding device for the calibration box that can. The calibration box expediently has a width which is approximately equal to the width of the bulk material conveyor a predetermined layer height conveyed bulk Flow is.
In der Zeichnung zeigen:The invention is described below in connection with the in the drawing shown embodiment explained in more detail. The drawing shows:

Fig. 2 on a larger scale, the calibration box provided in the device according to FIG. 1 in its assignment to the bulk material conveyor and to the radiation source and the radiation detector of the weighing device assigned to the bulk material conveyor.
In Fig. 1, a bulk bunker in the area of its bunker outlet 1 with the endless bulk conveyor 2 serving here as a bunker discharge conveyor is shown, which in the embodiment shown consists of a trough chain conveyor whose endless chain is equipped with the drivers via driven and driven wheels 3 and 4 in the trough 5 runs around. Immediately below the bunker outlet 1 is a table 6 , over which the upper run 7 of the endless chain of troughs is led. At the bunker outlet there is a height-adjustable layer limiter 8 to adjust the layer height of the bulk material conveyed from the upper run 7 of the trough chain over the table 6 as the conveyor floor. The bulk material falls down at the (left) end of the table 6 in the trough 5 , where it is gripped by the conveying lower strand 9 of the trough chain and is conveyed over the trough bottom in the direction of arrow 10 , where it is connected via a bottom opening 11 to a downstream one (not shown) facility is carried out.
Bunker discharge conveyors of the aforementioned type are known and therefore need no further explanation. Instead of Trough chain conveyors can also handle other bulk materials rer, e.g. Chain scraper conveyor, link belt conveyor, belt belt conveyor and the like be provided.
In order to weigh the amount of bulk material drawn from the bunker at the respective setting of the layer limiter 8 and conveyed by the bulk material conveyor 2 , an electronic weighing device is provided, which preferably consists of a radiometric weighing device known for this purpose. This has an electronic computer 11 with an electronic evaluation unit, a radiation source 12 and a radiation detector 13 . The radiation source 12 consists of a gamma emitter or a radioactive beta emitter, the beta radiation of which is braked by hitting a heavy element, so that a gamma radiation is generated as secondary radiation. The radiation detector 13 consists of a scintillation detector of a known type, which is coupled on the output side via a signal line 14 to the computer 11 .
The radiation detector 12 is arranged behind the bunker outlet under the table 6 so that its measuring beams are directed upwards in the direction of the radiation detector 13 located above it. In normal conveying operation, therefore, the measuring beams of the radiation source 12 penetrate the bulk material layer 15 , with which the bulk material emerging from the bunker outlet under the layer delimiter 8 is conveyed over the table 6 . This results in a weakening of the rays, the size of which depends on the type and bulk density of the bulk material being conveyed and on its layer height. With essentially homogeneous bulk material and essentially constant bulk density, the weakening of the measuring beam is therefore dependent on the layer height, so that the radiation attenuation determined by the reception detector 13 with constant geometric dimensions of the conveying cross section and constant conveying speed of the bulk material conveyor 2 by the computer 11 for determining the from Bunker withdrawn quantity of bulk material and therefore can be used to determine the delivery rate of the bulk material conveyor 2 . Weighing devices of the aforementioned type are also known and therefore do not require any further explanation.
In practice, the most accurate possible calibration of the electronic weighing device to match the bulk is necessary in order to obtain weighing results that are as accurate as possible and whose error limit should be below 1% if possible. In the inventive method the calibration procedure is carried out in such a manner that (8 Schichtbegrenzer closed) in the conveying cross section in the closed Bun kerauslauf of the bulk conveyor 2 a calibration box is tioniert posi 16, 17 containing a filling of gespeicher in the bunker th bulk material. As especially FIG. 2, the calibration box 16 forming a distance above the overflow area in the bunker the conveyor base table 6 in the beam path 18 between the radiation source 12 and radiation detector 13 is positioned so that it with its bottom 19 close the upper half of the driven conveyor chain 7 (Upper run of the Trogket tenbandes). The conveyor chain can therefore run through the calibration box 16 under its bottom 19 in the conveying direction F without hindrance during the calibration process with the bulk material conveyor 2 running empty.
The calibration box 16 consists of an open, substantially rectangular box container, which is made of a material whose specific weight corresponds at least approximately to the bulk density of the bulk material to be conveyed, i.e. the specific weight of the bulk material to be removed from the bunker. The height H b of the calibration box 16 corresponds to the predetermined layer height H s with which the bulk material 8 would be conveyed away from the conveying means of the bulk material conveyor 2 over the table 6 in the predetermined measurement setting. This means that the height of the bulk filling 17 located in the calibration box 16 plus the thickness of the bottom 19 of the calibration box 16 is equal to the layer height H s . This will for the calibration in the beam path of the radiation source 12 is a layer height H b simulated, the H of the pre give NEN layer height s corresponds, so that the attenuation of the bottom 19 of the calibration box 16 and penetrating in this located bulk material filling 17 the measuring beam 18 is the same as in Bulk material conveyance across the table 6 with the layer height H s .
As shown in FIG. 1, in the bunker outlet area there is a hood 20 which is connected to the housing of the trough chain conveyor and receives the calibration box 16 . A (not shown) holding device is arranged on or in the hood, which holds the calibration box 16 provided with the bulk material filling 17 in the measuring position shown. This holding device can or the like from simple support brackets, a drawer guide. consist. It is designed so that the Kali brierbox 16 can be installed and removed upwards or laterally.
The calibration box 16 is, as mentioned, preferably made of a plastic material, such as polyethylene or the like. The specific weight of which corresponds essentially to the bulk density of the bulk material. The width of the calibration box 16 , seen transversely to the conveying direction F , speaks approximately to the width of the conveying flow conveyed by the bulk material conveyor 2 via the table 6 with the predetermined layer height. The filling volume of the calibration box 16 is expediently dimensioned such that it can hold a filling quantity 17 which is at or below 100 kg.
During the calibration process, the calibration box 16 provided with the bulk material filling 17 is in the measurement position shown in the radiation path of the radiation source 12 . The driven endless conveyor chain of the bulk material conveyor 2 runs empty during the calibration process. This creates measurement conditions that correspond to the conditions in the conveying operation of the bulk material conveyor 2 . The weakening of the bottom 19 of the calibration box 16 and the bulk filling 17 penetrating measuring beams is measured by the radiation detector 13 . The filled Kali brierbox 16 can then be removed and weighed using a smaller scale. The weighing result is compared with the amount calculated by the electronic weighing device during the calibration process. Deviations of the quantity measured by the electronic weighing device from the weighing result of the scale used as a reference scale with which the removed calibration box 16 is weighed can then be used for the exact calibration of the electronic weighing device.
In general, it is advisable to repeat the calibration process by repeatedly filling the calibration box 16 (also with different bulk densities, which allows the bulk density fluctuations to be taken into account) and determining the radiation attenuation in order to detect possible bulk material fluctuations and to give the most accurate possible average value for the calibration to take measurements performed.
As mentioned, the method according to the invention can also be used A particular advantage with radiometric weighing devices use with evaluation unit. This generally takes place a rod-shaped gamma emitter use, its type, length and distribution of activity to the bulk material conveyor and its Material flow is adjusted. The rod-shaped gamma emitter can be located below the upper run of the conveyor chain or the conveyor belt or the like. in a lockable shield be arranged with a slit-shaped beam opening. The scintillation detector is located above the Material flow and outside the conveyor housing. He measures as mentioned, the radiation weakened by the measured material and delivers a pulse dependent on the occupancy of the conveyor rate from which the evaluation unit of the computer Bulk material occupancy determined per unit area of the conveyor becomes. Radioactive Ko are preferably used as gamma emitters balt (isotope 60), cesium (isotope 137) and americans (iso top 249) is used. Which come from the scintillation detector the measuring pulses are output in the computer of the evaluation unit evaluates, the data of the bulk material conveyor, e.g. the Trough width, the end of the measuring range etc. via a button field can be entered.
