Zur Vermeidung von Kältebrücken sind Doppelkammern vorgesehen, die derart versetzt angeordnet sind, daß die Steppnähte (3) der inneren Steppkammern (2) jeweils am ausgebauchten Mittelteil der äußeren Steppkammern (2) anliegen. Hierdurch wird eine annähernd gleich­ mäßige Dickenverteilung erreicht. Die Styroporteilchen (1) können in bekannter Weise problemlos in Stepp­ artikel, wie Mäntel, Jacken, Anoraks, Schlafsäcke, Matratzen und Schwimmwesten, eingenäht werden.As a filling material for quilted articles, cheap styrofoam material in particle form is used in the manufacture.
